The room was very warm, with an electric heater, a fireplace, and electric blankets. The cotton and linen bedding was also very comfortable. The ******* young man working at the hotel was very helpful and quickly resolved any issues with the room facilities. Although it rained the day we arrived, so we didn't see the snow-capped mountains or the starry sky, lying in the warm little house at night was still very comfortable. And Balangsheng was beautiful even in the rain. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. I recommend the beef fried rice and the stir-fried beef with scallions! The chef was also a ******* young man, and he was very hospitable.

This was the most satisfying accommodation experience of my trip to Western Sichuan. I received a complimentary upgrade to a room with a better view of the snow-capped mountains. They even turned on the heating and oxygen concentrator in advance, making my arrival in the rainy June weather feel incredibly warm and welcoming. The guesthouse is located on the Tagong Grassland, with stunning views from every window. The rooms directly face Yala Snow Mountain and Yamu Snow Mountain. I highly recommend staying here. If your health and time permit, it's best to stay for two nights. It's very close to Muya Grand Temple, 40 minutes from Xinduqiao, and just over an hour's drive from Gunong Village. The guesthouse operates in conjunction with the Nalangma Community Library, a public welfare library featured in the documentary ”But There Are Still Books.” The owner mentioned that the guesthouse was initially established to provide some operating funds for the library. Their story is also reflected in the documentary and the book ”Me and My Nalangma,” which is very touching and inspiring. I recommend everyone check it out if they're interested. Our trip to Tagong, Western Sichuan, found its warmest surprise in the Kangding Tagong Pokhara Smart Manor. Located in Tagong Town, the manor perfectly blends the relaxed, rustic charm of the ******* plateau with a tastefully tidy courtyard and rooms. Our deluxe sunroom was exceptionally bright, offering breathtaking views of the clear highland sky and distant mountains right from the window. Our three-day stay was incredibly comfortable and soothing, completely melting away the fatigue of our long road trip. What truly touched us was the genuine warmth and hospitality. The owner and front desk staff were incredibly friendly and approachable, making us feel right at home. Every evening, they thoughtfully delivered warm milk, chasing away the chill of the highland nights. On one occasion, returning to the manor after being caught in the rain, the owner immediately brought us freshly brewed ginger tea, its warmth spreading from our tongues throughout our bodies. These thoughtful details, more than any luxurious amenities, truly resonated with us. This is far more than just a place to stay; it's a welcoming haven on our Western Sichuan journey. Should I ever return to Tagong, I will undoubtedly stay here again, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to every traveler venturing into this beautiful wilderness.

Excellent hotel in the borders of the Tagong grasslands. When we arrived, we were a bit worried that it was too far from the town, but the owner gracefully drove us there the next morning. After sitting down and watching the view for a while, we were completely satisfied for having chosen this place. The owner is extremely nice, we talked with him a few times. The hotel is on the land behind his family's home, so it's all very cozy. When we had problems calling a taxi from Muya temple, he went there to pick us up himself. He also assisted us on finding a ride back to Kangding.The ******* breakfast was very good, as well. Even though it is a tent and the toilet is shared, we found it cleaner than almost all hotels in the same price range in China. The beds are also nicely soft.

Location was far from town but don’t worry there is a restaurant within the hotel. The food was okay. All the staffs including the chef were very friendly. This is a new hotel. Our room was very beautiful with a large window & a bathroom attached to it. It was snowing the next day and we loved the view. It was also possible to do laundry here but you’ll need the whole night to dry your clothes. They don’t really have a proper dryer here.

The butler proactively helped us with our luggage. This hotel is pet-friendly, which is a big plus! The rooms are clean and tidy, and the hotel itself has a great design aesthetic. The stream water was crystal clear, and the kids had a wonderful time playing in it! Now for the downsides. The hotel has a coffee shop, and the coffee was good, but the hotel restaurant was really disappointing! The dishes lacked character, and the only alcoholic beverages offered were beer and cocktails. The beer selection was just your standard Budweiser and Tsingtao, and I ordered a Whiskey Sour and a Martini, which I can only describe as possibly being local 'interpretations.' For a hotel positioned as a luxury travel destination, I was really let down that the restaurant didn't offer any wine, craft beers, or local specialty drinks. We came here to relax and unwind; the facilities are great, but the amenities just don't match up! I hope they can improve this.

Just got back from Xinduqiao, and while the memory's still fresh, I absolutely have to rave about this unexpected gem we stumbled upon. Honestly, by the time we reached Xinduqiao, I was pretty tired and didn't have high expectations for accommodation; I just wanted a decent night's sleep. But this place gave me quite a few pleasant surprises. The first thing I noticed when I walked into the room was how 'un-highland-like warm' it was. The underfloor heating was cranked up, and walking barefoot felt incredibly comfortable. There was a free oxygen diffuser running, almost silently, and indeed, it was the soundest sleep I'd had since arriving at altitude. No headaches, and I woke up feeling completely refreshed. My room had a window with an excellent view, and the scenery was truly breathtaking – nestled by mountains and a river. In the evening, I just curled up on the sofa in my room, doing nothing but watching the mountains and clouds outside slowly change colors, from golden to pinkish-purple, eventually darkening as stars began to twinkle one by one. In that moment, all the driving I'd done that day felt absolutely worth it. The hotel's common areas were also quite interesting. The coffee bar and screening area were connected and designed with an open feel. I ordered a drink here one evening and chatted with some fellow travelers I'd met on the road; the atmosphere was very relaxed. I only realized it was pet-friendly when I saw other guests with their dogs – one dog was quietly lounging on the terrace, enjoying the view, which was quite heartwarming. The staff didn't feel like 'hotel employees'; they were more like friends helping you out. I casually asked where the best spot for sunrise was, and the guy not only gave detailed directions but also showed me photos he'd taken on his phone and offered time recommendations. If I had to pick a flaw, since the hotel is newly opened, you can still see a few signs of it being fresh and not fully 'broken in,' but it's nothing major. Breakfast is a simple set menu, but a steaming bowl of rice noodles hit the spot perfectly. For those driving, parking is very convenient. Overall, it doesn't feel like a cold, impersonal hotel; it's more like a warm haven that understands both the plateau and its travelers. If you're passing through Xinduqiao and looking for a comfortable and good-value place to stay, this one is definitely worth considering.

The front desk staff were absolutely lovely! So warm, attentive, and thoughtful. Our original room's projector wasn't working, so they promptly moved us to another one. We went during the off-season, and it was also their restocking period, so we couldn't have a bonfire, which was a bit of a shame. However, the environment is still beautiful. The breakfast was incredibly considerate; because we were suffering from altitude sickness, they brought a full meal directly to our room. It was a well-balanced and nutritious mix of meat and vegetables. Plus, it's dog-friendly! It's definitely worth it, and I've already recommended it to my friends.

The hotel environment is excellent, clean and elegant. The overall design is ingenious, and the room furnishings are particularly unique. Every detail reveals careful planning, and the rooms are fully equipped, with the addition of the Xiaodu smart assistant adding a touch of modernity. The mattress and memory foam pillows were incredibly comfortable, and the room was well-nourished, completely eliminating altitude sickness and allowing us to sleep soundly through the night. Regarding service, as soon as our vehicle arrived, the staff warmly approached to inquire if we needed any assistance with our luggage and proactively helped with carrying it. Before our official check-in, they also meticulously guided us through the different room types. Considering we were traveling with children, the owner kindly upgraded us free of charge. After check-in, the staff served a delicate afternoon tea, which we enjoyed in our room while admiring the view outside the window – a truly relaxing and pleasant experience. The owner even led the children in a ******* incense-making experience, which the children thoroughly enjoyed. It's worth mentioning the soaking tub in the room. When the children wanted to enjoy it, we spontaneously suggested creating a special atmosphere. Although we hadn't prepared beforehand, the owners acted quickly, cleaning and disinfecting the ball pit and carefully arranging it with beautiful roses from their own garden, making the entire experience feel warm and welcoming. When one of our children accidentally cut their finger, the hotel staff immediately provided first aid, including disinfection and bandaging, and accompanied us to a nearby pharmacy for proper treatment, making us feel very cared for. The breakfast was equally exquisite and delicious. Every dish reflected the chef's care and enthusiasm, making it a truly unforgettable experience.

As soon as I stepped into this hotel in Kangding, I felt warm. The room is warmly decorated and has sufficient heating, which drives away the chill of the plateau. The night view outside the window is charming, and you can see the brilliant lights of Kangding City. The hotel also provides considerate measures to deal with altitude sickness, and the service is excellent. There are many dining options nearby and travel is convenient. Highly recommended to friends who come to Kangding!!!
