Amazing
GGuest UserTruly Royal Rajasthan experience at Fatehgarh.
Cherished every minute of the stay, from seamless checkin to the humble and extremely hospitable staff.
I'm glad I chose Fatehgarh over other 5 stars in Udaipur to celebrate my birthday.
The 360 breathtaking view, the moonrise, and sunrise/sunset.
There are 2 swimming pools in the property, both infinity view and extremely clean. The room size is bigger than I expected.
Cherry on the cake, the sustainable practices at the property from solar powerment to the recycling of water, zero plastic usage.
The vintage car collection is exquisite, and the vintage car ride is a must try experience with Mohan Singh.
Special mention to Akshay and Bharath for making our stay hassle free and memorable.
The food with the view of Udaipur city and candle light dinner is surreal.
Kudos to Fateh Collection team for putting so much attention to detail in every corner and aspect of the resort. I highly recommend this to everyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating holiday experience.
GGuest UserRight in the middle of lake with beautifully decorated rooms with marble. Big lavish bathroom with huge tub and shower. We were upgraded to historical heritage suit with attractive lake facing royal sitting arrangement.common areas were befitting to a palace and the staff was highly trained. At night lobby level verandah as well as terraces just gave extraordinary view of the lake and building of the city.food was just superb.only shortcoming was that the AC was not adjusted enough for low temperature and it is a shame for such beautiful high cost hotel that we were advised to keep the fan on.
GGuest UserIn the first day the bedsheets were dirty but that was quickly resolved. If you're expecting a decent gym like I was you need to know it's really not well equipped, very few dumbells. Also the TV in the room is very small for the size of the bedroom. Breakfast had 95% Indian local options but apparently 95% of the guests were locals too, so all good.
On the positive notes: staff was great and the bedrooms were super spacious!
CChandra LatikaA beautiful, stylish, boutique hotel with a lake view.
It is not directly on the lake shore, but is separated by a road and a piece of someone's property under construction that spoils the view, especially when the wind blows stronger and lifts the black tarpaulin.
The interior of the hotel is tastefully decorated, in beautiful pastel, calming colors and has that Rajasthani, traditional vibe.
My room was spacious, the bed was large and comfortable, and the sheets were clean. The bathroom was clean, with complimentary shower accessories and dental kits and also has a window, so you can enjoy the view while taking a shower. There is generally no noise from the road and you can sleep peacefully, as long as your neighbors in the rooms next to and above your room are mindful of the house rules.
I would especially like to express my gratitude to Mayan who allowed me to check in very early, as soon as I arrived around 8am, without insisting that I wait for the usual check-in time, and who provided me with as many bottles of water as I requested, free of charge.
The view from the restaurant's roof terrace is beautiful at dusk and at night.
If the walls were painted seasonally and the rooms freshened up, it would contribute even more to the overall experience, but even this way you get excellent value for money.
GGuest UserThe Wi-Fi isnât working, and the bathroom has drainage issues that cause water to accumulate. There are also mosquitoes in the room, but thereâs no mosquito repellent. The rooms arenât soundproof, so I heard fighting from a couple in the room next to mine all night, which disturbed my sleep. The restaurant buffet dinner has very few options, and most of them are non-vegetarian, which is a downside for vegetarians like me. Overall, itâs a very average hotel at the price theyâre charging. I would recommend looking for other options at the same price.
SSukhArriving at the hotel was alittle challenging as the inner roads towards Lake Pichola hotel were small & narrow. We had to transfer from our car to an auto to reach the hotel. But on the whole our experience at Lake Pichola was a wonderful one. The staff and front desk were all very warm & welcoming. They were helpful & attended to our enquiries quickly. Loved the evening boat ride on the lake viewing the sunset.
Will definitely go back again
SSandraWhen we first arrived our booked room was unavailable so they put us in a deluxe room with a living area and balcony.... But the festival was so loud. It was good for photos but not for sleeping. Unfortunately the room had a strong smoking smell so the next day we switched to the room booked the double room for family. Honestly we liked 408 much better than fancy room.... It was one flight from the restaurant. We didn't like the set breakfast that comes with room but the restaurant upstairs has a super good american breakfast with imported USA bacon. Best breakfast we've had in india in 3 weeks. Worth the extra money. Also get 15 percent off if staying at the hotel. The service was fantastic
The only negative is cannot take taxi directly to hotel but you can take a tuk tuk or call hotel they will send boys to carry luggage up for you. Other than that location is perfect.
AAndemonThe AC and WiFi didnât work on the first whole day at the end day, in the middle of the night had ask someone to visit which took ages to come and later we had ask to change the room as ac and WiFi wasnât working at. In the second room AC and WiFi works however the minibar didnât even cool the water at the basic minibar temp we were thirsty dying to drink the cold water, tired of mentioning about things from AC to WiFi and now minibar. Paying such an amount to get this service unexpected. The rooftop restaurant service people doesnât pay attention, doesnât matter how many time you call them. The breakfast area neither have AC nor a cold water(you ask for ice cubes), not even sealing fan only two fans in the corner. I donât think so will again here. The garden is very beautiful.
GGuest UserA mixed review. Staff were very helpful in arranging flowers for my wife and the location is perfect, right on the lake with a lovely view of the ghat and sunrise. But this also means that things can get noisy at night, especially during a festival.
The room was tired and smelt. Shower wasn't very clean. Breakfast was okay but staff tried to insist on guests eating breakfast inside which was very strange given that there was an outside dining area with a beautiful (world class) view of sunrise.
The hotel restaurant was overpriced, chaotic and very loud. Priority on tables was given to groups who didn't order food or drinks, took insta pictures and then left. At the same time, several families were turned away. Tried to order a diet coke, was told that we couldn't have one despite them being in the fridge. Kingfisher was 600 a bottle which is a 240% mark up from the wine shops.
Overall, great location let down by some tired rooms and poor service.
AAkB9Excellent stay with the family. A little rough and lengthy check in, noisy corridors with people shouting across the halls and balconies even late at night. BESIDES the above we had a fantastic stay. Very courteous and helpful staff and teams, great housekeeping, superb breakfast. Will definitely recommend and visit again.
