Amsterdam Hotels with Bars

Our first international trip with the kids brought us to the Netherlands, and this hotel was perfectly located. It's away from the city center's hustle and bustle, yet incredibly convenient for getting around. A 1-minute walk to the left brings you to NOORD station, which is the first stop on the line, so you're guaranteed a seat. The surrounding area is lovely too, with nature and animals creating a peaceful atmosphere. The supermarket by the station is well-stocked with everything you need, and the food options there are great. The room was very clean and thoroughly serviced daily. Overall, we were very satisfied with everything, especially the convenient transportation.

The room was spacious and comfortable, the bed was cozy, and the view was great, ensuring a good night's sleep. The staff were warm and attentive, providing excellent service. The hotel's location is superb, offering convenient transportation, and the breakfast selection was extensive.

I visited Bunk with two friends on a city break to Amsterdam. We had a lovely experience. We were able make use of lockers while waiting to check in, €5 for 6 hours, which was perfect as we had arrived early in the morning. The location of the hostel is ideal. It is a 5 minute walk from Noorderpark Metro station, which is one stop from the Centraal Station. We were close enough that getting into the city centre was convenient, but far enough out that the noise level was not too much when trying to sleep! The hostel is very close to a supermarket, as well as other shops such as Hema and Etos, and a very lovely bakery. It is a lovely neighbourhood and we never felt unsafe there. We stayed in a 3 person private room, which was cozy, but for what we needed it for, perfect! My only advice would be not to book this room if you are not comfortable and close to those you are staying with! The toilet and shower area has frosted glass, but you can still see a lot from outside the bathroom area, and we often either used the toilet downstairs or asked the others to leave the room while we showered as we felt more comfortable that way. Maybe other people would be more okay with this, but this is what worked for us. The staff are very helpful. We had issues with things getting stuck in the vending machines and they opened them up for us no problem. The sheets on my bed had slight staining, however it was nothing major. Other than this, the room was very clean. I would recommend Bunk, especially the room we had, to a group of friends on a trip to Amsterdam, and looking for a place which is very central but not too noisy and busy. While I understand that hotels have strict no-smoking policies and I am willing to accept the applicable penalty if a violation occurred, nothing justifies the way your staff handled the situation. Despite me clearly instructing your staff not to enter my room, they forcefully entered without my permission. At that moment, I was not properly dressed, making the situation extremely embarrassing and a serious invasion of my privacy. This conduct was completely unacceptable. Furthermore, during this interaction, two members of your staff spoke to me in Dutch in what appeared to be an abusive and mocking manner. Although I do not understand Dutch, their tone, gestures, and overall behaviour were intimidating, disrespectful, and deeply humiliating. No guest should ever be treated in such a degrading way. The second issue concerns my food delivery. I had ordered food late at night, and it was left at the reception. When I went to collect it a few hours later, I was informed that the food had been thrown away. I was never contacted, no attempt was made to inform me that my order had arrived, and no explanation was provided as to why my personal property had been discarded. This is completely unacceptable and demonstrates a shocking lack of respect for guests and their belongings. The combination of these incidents reflects an alarming lack of professionalism, respect for guest privacy, and basic customer service standards. I expect the following: 1. A formal investigation into the conduct of the staff involved. 2. A written explanation as to why my room was entered against my explicit instructions. 3. An explanation as to why my food delivery was disposed of without my consent or any attempt to contact me. 4. An apology addressing the unacceptable treatment I experienced. 5. A review of your staff’s conduct and training to ensure that no other guest is subjected to such behaviour. I chose Mövenpick expecting a high standard of hospitality. Instead, I left feeling disrespected, humiliated, and extremely disappointed. I look forward to receiving your prompt response and an explanation regarding these serious matters. This is a pretty standard luxury hotel, with no major issues. There's a mini-fridge, but it's not cold enough and doesn't come stocked with anything. However, the umbrella is a high-end carbon fiber one, which is quite rare and a nice touch. The bathroom drain had a bit of a problem, probably a clog from hair that needs to be cleaned promptly. My biggest issue, though, was the front desk – they were incredibly slow! Especially during check-out. I've never seen a hotel where you have to wait in line one by one; usually, you just leave your room card and go.

Hotel was very far from the ferry terminal. This was known when I booked the hotel so no fault of the hotel just that if you are booking here, it will take you 15-20 mins to get to the ferry terminal to take F2 ferry to Amsterdam Centraal. Otherwise take a bus to the metro stop in 10 mins would be faster for exploring the city. Breakfast was basic but included free so nothing to complain about. Room was generally clean. Only small issue that it can get really busy during peak season and lifts take 2-3 mins to arrive. Breakfast if you eat too late spills out of the main dining area. Very crowded. Best to eat breakfast before 8am. Many nice food places and supermarket near hotel.

I arrived at like midnight but luckily there’s someone at the reception 24/7. The hotel is at an excellent location, it was ok to push my suitcase over from Amsterdam central station, I think it took 10minutes yet I was shocked to see the very steep staircase because I had a 26” 22kgs big suitcase with me, along with a 7 kgs hand card travel bag, 6kgs backpack. There’s absolute no way I’d be able to carry all that up stairs without tumbling down and getting injured before I could reach the reception desk. Thankfully, the male staff who work at the front desk were all nice and willing to help, ie 1st time for bringing all my baggage from the bottom of the steps at the entrance up to my room during which we encountered even more steep stairs to reach the room; 2nd time was when I had to check out, I left my suitcase outside the room and needed staff to help me bring it down to the reception storage; 3rd time was from reception down to the bottom at the entrance, otherwise I would not have able to stay at the hotel with all my bulky and heavy baggages. It’s an old hotel so soundproofing maybe a bit of a problem, like I could hear floor boards creaking but it’s bearable and I had a good sleep. I had bit of a hard time finding my room, it felt like a maze in a boat or an anthill, but staff showed me the way to my room. The view outside the window was wonderful, Van Gogh museum and rijksmuseum were within walking distances like under 40 minutes. It’d be even if they provided a water kettle, but I was happy that they actually have tv and air con! I’d stay here again, just that I better not bring a big suitcase next time. Thank you to the 3 staff I encountered on October 10th and 11th!

The hotel's location is super convenient, really close to the train station and all the main attractions. Both the hotel and the room were spotless and didn't have any strange smells, which was great. The only minor downside was that the music from nearby bars could be a bit loud at night.

This is a large international chain hotel with excellent facilities, good hygiene, a top-notch environment, and standardized service. The hotel is located across the water from Central Station, and there's a free ferry service available 24/7. The pier and the view of the water are beautiful, and crossing the sea every day adds a unique charm to the experience.

Great location - short walk to the Muiderpoort station and a 5 mins train ride into Amsterdam Centraal! For the price, the accomodation was very reasonable and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. House keeping comes by everyday so you always have a clean room and towels. A fridge in the room is also very handy. Staff are there 24/7 and very helpful.  The walls are thin, so if you have noisy neighbours you can hear everything, so it could be annoying!  Overall, great stay in Amsterdam!
