The room was fine, but it had a strong smell of pipes and it is an old room.
Generally very good, the first day I had breakfast but the price outside the room price is too expensive for my experience and taste.

No tenemos palabras de agradecimiento a todo el personal del hotel L’Eixample 1864 (Enea en recepción e Irene en el restaurante especialmente) El estilo es moderno acogedor. El restaurante Les finestres … es de primera! Los platos catalanes de muy buena calidad. Hemos tenido una excelente estadía mi esposo en inglés y yo en castellano We are very thankful to everybody! Les agradecemos a todos! El hotel está preparado para los mayores de 75 años. Su ubicación es super elegante. GRACIAS, volveremos! Alicia

Accueil très professionnel dans cet hôtel bien situé entre les RAMBLAS et la SAGRADA FAMILIA, le plus de cet hôtel est le garage fermé et gardé qui se trouve sous l'hôtel au prix de 20 euros par nuit, ce qui est appréciable compte tenu des nombreux travaux dans Barcelone qui gêne le circulation, La chambre est spacieuse et la literie de bonne qualité, Par contre peu de personnel parle le Français, mieux vaut parler espagnol ou anglais, ça vous facilitera l'échange à l'accueil, Si vous pouvez profiter du petit déjeuner n'hésitez pas il y en a pour tous les gouts aussi bien salé que sucré, tellement de choses que vous ne savez pas quoi choisir,

I stayed at the Catalonia Eixample 1864 Hotel. Staff werevery friendly and location was fantastic. There was a very musty smell in my room, since it was raining a lot I assumed that was the smell. The next day when i checked out I had red lumps all over my legs, mirroring bed bug bites. I wrote to the hotel and they denied they had bed bugs. So be very careful as the hotel did not act on this, they have denied any problem. I suggested they should pest control the room but unfortunately they have denied any problem. Be very very careful if you stay here.

The location of the hotel is excellent - close to Sagrada Familia, Las Ramblas, the Port and Barri Gothic. The staff are very good. The room was a good size, and the shower was amazing. The cleanliness was good, although my husband got some blood on his sheet and they were not changed at all over 4 nights. Tea/coffee good but not plentiful or replaced if used. The rooftop/pool bar was nice but understaffed at times. The pool was very small but a very nice area. A busy hotel in a quiet, safe area, except for some late night party people. Roger bakery over the road was great. Our Catalonia hotel rewards gift was very welcoming. I’d highly recommend this hotel.

Super location, friendly helpful staff, spacious clean well appointed rooms. AND PET FRIENDLY. room was very well kept, and building felt neat and airy. Although we didn’t get to use bar or restaurant, we could see they looked nice enough.
