"The hotel is located on the top of an old fortified town, overlooking a rugged valley. Absolutely awesome for a one day stop .. but probably too small for a long stay unless you make day excursions. Getting to the hotel is already an adventure. From the parking lot you take an elevator, after that three steep funiculaires with stunning views, then another elevator and inside the hotel yet another elevator. Each time the views beat the previous one. The rooms are large, beautiful and very affordable (especially out of season). Very good breakfast included in the rate. The town has a few nice restaurants (nothing fancy) within reasonable walking distance. It is small enough to be seen in half a day, hence my comment about a one day stopover."

"Myself and three friends stayed here for a night on our trip from England to Italy. It was easily the best of the four medium priced hotels we stayed in. The rooms on the front have a fabulous view of the hillside with its vineyards. They were perfect, spacious with well-provisioned ensuites, air conditioning, comfortable beds and a small balcony with seating. There is a lift, which was very welcome. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Fantastic location too. We all thought it was excellent value, and would definitely stay here again when travelling to Italy."

"Stayed in the original villa, needs some TLC, and my bathroom had an unpleasant smell- standing water/chlorine, but bathroom had a balcony (swoon). The restorations that have been were sympathetic to the age of the villa. Staff/food excellent. Charm trumped niggles."

"It's a traditional family run hotel in the Aosta valley. Own car park, friendly staff. Nice room, hot shower. Decent breakfast. Restaurant not open at night in the winter. 20 minutes drive to Pila ski lift"

"The hotel is good especially considering the value for money. Rooms are clean, a bit dark, shower is small but okay for normal size people. Breakfast is for a good start of the day. Service is excellent, the receptionist was extremely kind and careful in giving all information for a good staying."
