"Couples or even groups of friends will find this place to be ideal for relaxing. The abundance of historic homes and artefacts from notable people in the past evokes nostalgic feelings. The staff is incredibly helpful, pleasant, and quick to respond. The only real drawbacks are the unusually quiet floor and the lack of a bidet in our room. The road leading up to the resort is very uneven and dangerous for cars. To make matters worse, they charge extra for extra mineral water, which is totally unfair. There are other hotels and resorts all over the globe where this isn't the norm. I hope this can be reviewed and made better. Not only that, the hot water flow from the toilet is extremely low."

"The location is excellent. Less than 1km to Plaza Mayor de Balanga. Close to cafes, food park, night market, and other fast food chains. You can ride a tricycle as soon as you get out of the vicinity. They're quick to respond with calls and online inquiries. The facilities and essentials supplied are almost like those you'd expect in a hotel. The shared bathroom is not a downside as I expected initially. They are actually well-maintained and comfortable to use. The front desk almost has everything you might need in any situation: medicine, alcoholic drinks, games, trash bags, paper cups, etc. There's a water dispenser, too, to fill up water containers. The free breakfast is very much appreciated. It was already prepared as early as 6:30 AM, and you can choose to take them out. The food is nice, too. Well recommended for solo travelers or friends who are staying for a few days in Bataan."

"We stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights and are already planning when we can go back. We were very lucky that while we were there, baby sea turtles had just been hatched and we saw them released on the uncrowded beach at sunset. La Jolla is a beautifully designed resort surrounded by trees and nestled along a quiet beach cove. There are a lot shaded sitting areas and lounge chairs along the beach so you can relax even on a hot summer's day. Rooms were chic, modern and comfortable. The service was very friendly and efficient from the moment we stepped inside. We had a lot of special requests because we were with a baby but the staff was very prompt in attending to our needs. There was only one restaurant open for lunch and dinner, food was mostly Filipino fare but delicious. Overall, I find the place very reasonably priced for a resort of this caliber. It's luxurious enough but cozy, feels secluded but easily accessible from Manila. "

"The menu for breakfast has a lot of options to choose from. The waiters were friendly and nice to us and food was excellent. But our room had quite a lot of dust and the toilet needs more cleaning. But most of all all the staff are nice and approachable. Thank you to all the friendly staff at crown Royale hotel."

"The room is fully equipped, the sleep is very comfortable, the hotel has a beautiful environment and the sun pool is great! Just a few steps from the resort, there are many places to eat around! Very fun! The water is also very clear!"
