Hotels near Postal Letter Box of Qing Dynasty, Beijing

Before I complain about the hotel, Trip and the Customer service team were absolutely fantastic in resolving my issue I booked a Special Single Room which says (see photo) ”Special Single Room 1 single bed Non-smoking 6-8m² | Floor: 2 Free Wi-Fi Private Bathroom Air Conditioning” It does not have a private bathroom Here is what the hotel said ”For your booking number:xxxxxxxxxx at Perfect Nostalgia Inn....the Hotel and Mr. XXX informed us that, that you booked a original room [Special Single Room] and it does not have private bathroom, but public restroom and bathroom is available,” The Hotel charged 100RMB a night for the private bathroom which they reduced to 75rmb

We have had a very great experience by staying at HouHaiYuan Hotel with the following reasons: 1. Great location - this hotel is located at 前井胡同，which is a very quiet and serene location. However, it is just a 5 minute walking distance to one of the moat popular tourist attractions - 烟袋斜街，and it is also walking distance to 南锣鼓巷 (about 15 min) and to 恭王府 （about 10 min). It is a walking distance to train station 2. Cleanliness & housekeepong - the room is very clean and every items in the room are free for use, including the beer and drinks in the mini bar 3. Service - the service of the hoteliers are superb! They are very helpful and they were trying their best to assist us in many areas, including helping us in arranging transportation and also our food order as we were unable to do it ourselves due to we are not having a phone line in china.

I think the hotel staff are super amazing and very friendly. I reached from huangshan at 3 pm and previous guests were still 10 mins away from checking out from Panaromic balcony room type I booked. So they quickly upgraded me to a better room and offered me another upgrade to a ground floor room with a yard and very cool traditional Chinese bedroom (an expensive one compared to my booking). Location wise 7-12 mins walking from four subway stations. Breakfast ain't swerved so that's why gave 3/5 for Food. Anyway, Good food options like Mr. Shi dumplings, Coast coffee and bar, Courthouse coffee and bar and many other old Winehouses and hutong restaurants are 10 mins walking radius and many other options nearby. Walk the old alleys and hutongs and find your way. Hotel is super clean. They even helped contact many tour operators as per my needs and requirements, and helped me book a trip to simatai and gubei water town. Communication with staff in china is difficult but hotel reception kid with little English speaking and reading capabilities was super sweet to help my stay make a wonderful one. Thanks to Lue in photos for being super patient and welcoming us cheerfully at Qinfu, Beijing.

It was my first time to stay at Rongfu Old House Hotel. I was very satisfied. The location of the hotel is very good. It is within walking distance from Shichahai, Jingshan Park, Nanluogu Lane and other attractions. There are also many delicious restaurants around. There is a bus stop at the door and a subway station 10 minutes away. It's also very close and convenient. The hotel facilities are very good. Yuan Peng's service is very warm and thoughtful. During the period, Yuan Peng helped us solve various problems.

The location is great! It's right between Shichahai and Nanluoguxiang, in Maoer Hutong. Turn right and walk to Nanluoguxiang for less than 200 meters. To the northwest of the courtyard is Wanrong's former residence, and to the northeast is Feng Guozhang's former residence. The hotel room is not large, but it is clean and tidy, with a separate bathroom, which is very convenient for washing and bathing. The waiter is very enthusiastic. I drink a lot of water, so he put four bottles of mineral water for me. If it is not enough, it can be provided for free. There is a tea table in the lobby, and tea leaves are available for guests. The overall feeling is very good, and the children also like it. Looking forward to staying next time!

At this time, in addition to the phone reminder, they also served us warmly after arriving at the hotel, and greeted us every day and answered our questions about our trip ~ The hotel is in Tongluo Ancient Alley (estimated to be 20 minutes in a straight line) and the hotel is 15 minutes away in a straight line; although it is not short, you can take a look at the scenery of the ancient alley (a popular attraction); at the same time, there are many beverage/restaurant/souvenir shops on the road (suggestion: choose specialty stores for food, not stores that combine several stores (not delicious); in addition, the other direction of the straight line is about 5 minutes to the main road, and you can choose to travel by bicycle (these depend on your own strategy); in general, in terms of travel, the hotel's location is really nice, and the subway lines 6 and 8 are close, which almost meet the short distances of several popular attractions, with short commuting time, no need to worry about food nearby, and it is also close to several small attractions ~ Hygiene The environment is also OK. Although it cannot be said to be 100% good, I am very satisfied with this price. If something is missing, the front desk can provide feedback in time. The sanitation is also done once a day, and a portion of water and drinks are provided every day. The only shortcoming is the leakage of the sink. It has been reported and it may be repaired later. ~ The communication is convenient and reasonable and easy to coordinate. We were originally scheduled to check out at 12 o'clock on the last day. After communication the day before, we were told that we could check out at 1 o'clock, but because of the scenic spots (many people), we went back to pack up after 1:30. During the period, there were phone reminders and inquiries whether to extend the room. After communication, they did not mind our overtime, which was very touching. Summary of the savings: The overall service is first-class, the location is very good, the transportation is convenient, the environment and sanitation are not bad, and it is worthy of this price. os: I rarely comment on such a long text, I hope it can help you all (we checked in on May 24, and there was no decoration noise as in the previous comments. Location: The hotel is in the middle of Hutong community, it is great for getting a glimpse of life in Hutong. Once you make your way out of the Hutong, it is close to a variety of restaurants. It is close to Yaoji Gulou store, which you can have a taste of traditional Beijing breakfast. The downside of being tucked in the Hutong is, it takes 10 min to walk in (ok in normal standards, but a bit hard when check-in/check-out with kids and luggage), and some Didi driver would whine a bit when they drive in. Interior: The lobby has many traditional Chinese activities for you to try for free, such as traditional clothes, go chess, chinese chess, Guzhen, tea set etc. Fun for both kids and adults. The room is nice and clean. Staff: Staff were very welcoming and responsive. You can tell they've put a lot of thoughts into their services down to the little details such as when to pack the breakfast for us.

Because the previous guest checked out late, the loft room originally booked could not be delivered when we arrived at the hotel. It was hot at noon, so we were in a bad mood. The proprietress patiently explained and provided cool self-made fruit tea. In order to avoid us from waiting, she directly upgraded two king-size rooms. It is rare to have such a quiet and spacious courtyard in the core section of the bustling Drum Tower. The renovation is very stylish, with a perfect fusion of classic and romantic. The room is comfortable, the breakfast is delicious, and the two cats are very cute. Because I grew up in the nearby alleys, the nearby Chinese Opera is my father's alma mater, and it is very warm to bring adult children to complete a sentimental journey. The only shortcoming is that the room is not very soundproof. This is a pet-friendly hotel. The guest next door brought a dog and started barking in the early morning, which was very annoying. Of course, there is no perfect thing. It depends on what you value more.

Checked in for the second time in a week. I arrived after 10 o'clock last night, and it was raining heavily outside. When we arrived at the hotel, Mother Bear said, ”Your room tonight is on the second floor.” Then she helped me unpack the suitcase without any explanation. Oops, mother bear, do you want to be so good? ! 🥹When I just went back to pick up my stored luggage, Mama Bear gave me another picture 3️⃣Snacks produced by Daoxiang Village to eat on the road❤️ Such a warm and humane hotel, I will stay there next time.
