Holiday Inn BEJA by IHG
"if you plan to book this new hotel please be aware that locaton is on a conjunction of 2 very busy obbled streets (cobbled= extra super noisy) and the windows wall are super thin (you can hear neigbour coughing, windows not sound proof). Gym and "roof top" pool (acess via staris only) are nice but in general the quality of materials they used is very low (e.g. loose working desk in room, complicated shower door etc) - hard to understand how this should last 20 years or longer? Front desk is nice but young and unexperienced - a sign in both elevators shows "all day dinning" - they mean "dining" but I was the first who told them that dinning means "noise"? not recommened even for 50€, the quoted "official" rates (300€) won't ever been paid in Beja!!!"
Pousada Convento de Beja – Historic Hotel
"This is one of the best Pousadas we have stayed at. It is magnificent and very spacious, having a small number of bedrooms but huge spacious areas. Well done Pestana on not ruining the magnificence of the building while creating an exceptionally comfortable, indeed luxurious, hotel. The bedrooms are the old monks's cells (Yes although it is called a convent, it was Franciscan monks who stayed here). We stayed on the second floor and had a huge vaulted ceiling so the room remained remarkably cool despite it being 30C outside. The breakfasts were super reflecting some of the local produce. Beja is very much worth a visit. It is unpretentious but contains an amazing array of wee museums that are worth visiting. We will certainly return."
HI Beja - Pousada de Juventude
"The staff were very helpful; we asked them for help because we didn't know how to use the equipment, and they gave us a hands-on demonstration, which put our minds at ease. The location is a bit far from the old town. It's a relatively inexpensive place to stay while traveling. Its advantage is that it's very close to the bus station."
Hotel Melius
"We liked a lot . The room was very nice and clean, super comfortable. Breakfast was sufficient, although there was a lack of variety of products, namely fresh fruit (not canned in syrup, and vegetable drink options). Overall, for a 3 star hotel, it is very good. We must praise the friendliness and professionalism of the girl who served us at reception."
Vila Gale Collection Monte do Vilar
"We enjoyed beautiful views and a spacious, very clean room. The hotel has shared facilities with its sister hotel in the complex, for a kid playground/ club and a spa. Although we didn’t make use of it. Staff, although not always easily communicating in English, were very nice and happy to help! Some improvement can be done in making the room a bit more cozy. For example adding coffee machine or some welcome sweets, as we have experienced in previous stays elsewhere in the area . Breakfast can be also a bit more varied and better presented, especially when staying for few nights. Pl"
BejaParque Hotel
"Very welcoming, all the staff were very attentive, very clean and organized. Breakfast offers a good variety and is of good quality. The pool is excellent! We recommend it and thank the staff for their friendliness!"
Guest House Stories
"It was a little bit hard to find throughout the city, but we had a nice room. It also been a bit difficult to have the code to access the building. Good service after all."
Hotel Francis
"Nice rooms, bed was quite comfortable, very clean including the bathroom. The room was a good size with a little fridge in it. The breakfast was great with a good selection including hot food. It's located in a very yet area with a couple of cafes and a restaurant opposite. It is a long walk to the historic centre, 25 mins or so. The only downside is you have to slam the door shut when you leave the room there was no way to do this quietly as the handle didn't move. "
Vila Gale Alentejo Vineyard - Clube de Campo
"The tour was very good and calm. Guilherme and Dado were excellent, Guilherme was very helpful and friendly. Dado was very coordinated and friendly. Then the girls also went on a pony ride with Gabriel and they loved it... Happy holidays....."
