"One of the greatest assets of Sandpiper is the ownership. John and Annette are two wonderful, down to earth people that create a very warm, welcoming feel to the property. They’re fun to talk to and give the place a soul. The cottages themselves are quite sufficient and are stocked with everything you could think of and more. Some places I have stayed at cut corners in this regard but not here. Then there’s the beach! In less than 60 seconds, you can reach a gorgeous peach with practically no one on it. It was nice to return from a long day of hiking at Freycinet and be able to jump into a pristine ocean upon my return."

"Good for an overnight stay and conveniently located close to grocery shop. Service and facilities are basic, but adequate. Our cabin was close to the main road, but fortunately there was not a lot of traffice so noise was not an issue."

"This is a fantastic place to stay, very well laid out comfortable and with a wonderful garden with Seaview and access to the shore. Every conceivable item has been included. It's more like a home than just somewhere to stay. The best we have stayed in since arriving in Australia six weeks ago. Private drive, ample lounge, kitchen with the lot ! Dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge, cooker, microwave. Even picnic items such as a rug,flask, and travel cups, plus beach towels. Electric BBQ and ample outdoor seating. This is how all "stop over" places should be. 10 out of 10, if you could add a sandy beach, it would be an 11."

"Staying two nights at Beach End felt the same as the beachside flats we often stayed in on Magnetic Island, Queensland. Everything we needed was there. Little touches ( like the functional cooking items) were thoughtfully there. Homely: very much so! The units are 30 or so years old but are clean, comfortable and well positioned, with a view to the nearby beach and Diamond Island.
