"4 months ago, my fiancé and I decided to plan a wedding in France. We didn't know where, just that we wanted a castle where all our guests could stay. A google search led me to Château de La Côte. Though more remote than initially expected, it by far exceeded our expectations. The grounds were simply stunning and the rooms charming. The food was INCREDIBLE. We were never hungry (I was afraid the portions would be a bit small for the typical American appetite, but not at all). The staff was lovely and helpful as the majority of us were non-French speakers. Some guests were initially concerned as it was July and being that it's a castle, there's no a/c, but the rooms had great cross-breezes and some even had fans. My only complaint is that we weren't able to stay longer. This was a truly. memorable experience for everyone who was there and I hope that some day we can all make it back."

Thank goodness it was only for one night as it’s no where near a town and in the middle of a very noisy industrial estate. Although it is a Best Western establishment, the owner seemed, in our opinion to be quite ignorant to guests unless they were French, which is a shame and definitely not a true representation of French hospitality. In short, avoid."

"This place appears to have been a Brantome “destination “ for many years. It is well run by an efficient team with a nice pool and very good restaurant. The rooms are comfortable and it is centrally located though not by the river, There is safe parking available. A nice place to stop and we’d come again. I didn’t give 5 stars as there is an element of efficiency rather than charm in the ambience but maybe that’s me being picky! The cost overall is very reasonable."

"This was an excellent stay. From first contact with Cyril when booking to leaving the property was a pleasure. The welcome was great. The room was spotless. The evening meal was excellent. But the best was meeting his wonderful family. His daughters were a pleasure to be with and managed to teach us ignorant English some French. Keep up the good work we would not hesitate to return. I can only recommend you have the evening meal rather than eat out. A true french Chateau experience. Thankyou."

"The hotel is located in the very center of Perigueux. It is part of the Accor chain. The windows of the room overlooked the courtyard, it was very quiet. Excellent linen, comfortable beds. The room has a small refrigerator, a kettle, tea and coffee bags are replenished daily. Shower gel of the French brand Nuxe created a honey aroma in the bathroom. Breakfast with an assortment of cheeses, ham, nuts, dried fruits, you can cook your own eggs. Next time we will definitely stay here again."

"This place was a true find! Set in the peaceful countryside, the view when you approach is super. The welcome in reception is warm and you are made to feel valued, bearing in mind, this stay was not much over €50, a real bargain. I booked a table in the restaurant for dinner and this is a must! The food is ample in choice and absolutely amazing as is the service from the two gents waiting the tables. The chef serves food that tastes as good as it looks, great attention to detail. A great wine selection to go with the meal. All in all, I loved my stay, great staff, fantastic location and an incredibly comfortable bed. I look forward to returning in the future."

"The castle's infrastructure is worth **** stars, However, the accommodation in Orangerie did not have our full satisfaction: noise problem caused by the access door, pot support for the balai for toilets not very clean, the bed consisting of 2 cottages cottage with fabrics made up sensing once lengthened, not very top po to relax at the end of the day)at older people. The hotel was very comfortable and was very comfortable. We will retain: the quality and kindness of the entire staff of the SPA, the excellence of the quality of the well-being space, the perfect friendliness of all the staff of the castle and the 2 supper made on the site have been very appreciated by Our couple (excellence of the offered dishes, calm and music of the background). We are planning to return to it for our next trips, but under certain conditions for night accommodation of ups!"
