Disgusting room dust everywhere had to go purchase cleaning products and do it myself breakfast ok evening dinner stinking unable to eat it empty bottles on table for 2 days no one seemed to be tidying up or cleaning will never go back absolutely disappointed

we have stayed here on several occasions now and the last couple have been disappointing due to the loud music coming from the bar area in the basement. On the first couple of visit this could not be heard but it seems that the volume has been increased. Why?
My i suggest that you turn it down a bit as you will be aware there will be guests who just wish to SLEEP and not heard the noise from the basement.
Shame to have to moan, but if you are not told then nothing CAN BE DONE ABOUT!!!

Great location stayed at the Oak Lea a couple of times before and it was ok. This time however the room was far from clean infact it was disgusting. I didn’t expect the Ritz but there is no excuse for dirty rooms. Throughout the hotel there is wallpaper hanging off not a good look will not stay again.

Caledonia tours - please please , if offered this hotel decline. Run down is an understatement, riddled with dampness & run by 2 people only who are out of there depths. Read reviews - do not waste you money. Caledonia seem set on still offering this as an option even though inundated with complaints. If u book this regardless then be prepared for a very uncomfortable & disgusted few days.

The staff were as welcoming as always and you feel at ease.
The only two small issues where one being that the evenings entertainment went on to long at such a high volume, which meant i could everything clearly without even being in the basement. The other one was that they toilet is located in the worst possible place, it needs turning 90 degrees so that it can be used in comfort.

My self and my husband visited on the 16th December for two nights, we stayed b&b the room was nice, warm with a smart tv which was a bonus we could login to Netflix, the breakfast was lovely and we enjoyed the entertainment, a great place to stay, the paintwork needed a touch up here and there but it was clean what more do you need we will definitely return again my husbands disabled we could leave the car outside for our full stay, it was close to the centre, we had a lovely relaxing weekend.

Just stayed for 4 nghts over xmas .l9vely owners and staff.food lovely .5 course xmas dinner .then buffet at nght .good entertainment .would come back .nothing to much bother .second time here great stay

Room terrible no hot water for showers for the 3 days we were there also radiator only came on once a day .food not very hot or not a great choice rooms need updating and painting our room one socket for television and hairdryer and kettle so had to unplug tv if wanted a cup of tea would not recommend

If visiting this hotel take cleaning products for the bedroom, the dust dust in room 9 was discussing, the shower tray was horrendous. The only thing positive was the waiting staff and meals. We were a party of 8 and we all felt the same. The shower/ toilet room in the single rooms weren't up to standard.
