The Tugu Hotel in Blitar (East Java) is among the absolute top in that respect! You feel very welcome here and receive a personal and warm welcome. It just makes you very happy. There is nothing wrong with the hotel, although there is no swimming pool. For us, that was not an issue. Fantastic food and drinks and a lot of attention is paid to local food. The rooms are spacious, the beds large with good linen and the bathroom is very nice, which is half outdoors. Again, the people are very nice!"
