"This place is an absolute must if you are touring Tassie. It is an Aussie gem, a quirky genuine farmstay experience. The new Manager and staff are wonderful, the food is great, the self-service honesty bar is from the old days. The homestead is an historic building, and dinner can come with a local historian who gives life to the history of the place. We were a group of 7 golfers, and we played the best courses Tassie has to offer. We rated Ratho as a must-do on any golfer's itinerary. Playing off the tee over 200 sheep is unique, and focusses the attention. Where else can you do that???"

"The fact that Whites Corner is available during the Tasmanian winter is an indication the owners don't really care about the comfort and wellbeing of their guests. We could have overlooked the misleading photos on the website, and all the faults and shabbiness if the place had been adequately heated, but I doubt this is even possible. There are big gaps under the doors, and in the bathroom window frame where the freezing wind whistles in. The split system in the kitchen was completely inadequate, and despite there being 2 fire places, neither was set, and no wood was available…. such a disappointment as the other 2 venues we stayed in on our way down from the chilly north west were welcomingly warmed for our arrival. Thankfully the beds had electric blankets. We were so cold we went to bed 7:30pm and exited first thing the next morning to the warmth of the car. This was the one ‘fail’ in our very enjoyable winter trip to Tassie."

"Check in was easy. Room was clean with a lovely garden and lake view. Water was provided for seperate drinking which was appreciated. Highly recommend the restaurant also! Delicious food and cosy vibes."

"This was our second stay at Curringa. We stayed in Wombat’s Den. Such a beautifully appointed cabin- the little touches and the comfiest of beds. Views are stunning. Totally add it to your list! The farm animals and welcome centre are amazing to visit!"

"The location is great with wonderful views outside the cottages and near Russell Falls. However, it is very cold inside the cottage, the aircon / heater is not warm enough. Shower water temperature is great though. The pots and pans are very worn with lots of scratches."

"Our cottage was spacious and very clean. Lots of amenities that I wished we could have stayed longer. The kitchen was a good size as well as the living and dining area. There were two nice bedrooms, a good-sized bathroom, and a washer/dryer. The location is perfect as it is at the gates of the Mount Field National Park. We even saw platypuses twice in the nearby river next to the Possum Shed Cafe. The only negative would be the very small shower stall. A large person would have trouble fitting in the shower."
