Our top hotel picks are based on price, location, and guest reviews to help you find the best stay.
I travel a lot for work and usually dislike being asked for five-star reviews at the front desk, but I truly recommend this place. It's a state-owned enterprise, and the front desk staff genuinely cares about guests, even recommending attractions. There's a lounge area on the second floor. The food tastes pretty good, especially breakfast, which is very high quality. Just a heads-up: don't order the dumplings; they don't taste good and tend to get mushy. Also, there are too many potatoes in the tomato and potato beef brisket.
This stay was absolutely perfect! I initially booked for one night just to try it out, but after that first night, I extended my stay for three more.
The hotel's location is excellent, right in Dalian's city center with convenient transportation. It's about a 10-minute walk from the train station following the navigation, but it's not directly facing the station square, so the environment is quite pleasant. The hotel is surrounded by a vibrant commercial district and dining options, with many large shopping malls. Tianjin Street is just a few dozen meters away, and the Lantern Festival celebrations there were so lively during the Chinese New Year. Zhongshan Square is less than a 10-minute walk away. On my first night, I couldn't wait to see Zhongshan Square lit up at dusk – it was freezing in winter, so there weren't many people on the large square, but the light show was incredibly beautiful. Russian Street is also within walking distance. For Dongguan Street and Xi'an Street, they're not far from the hotel, and you can easily get there by taking an old tram. In short, it's convenient to get anywhere from here.
Hotel service quality: The main reception is on the 16th floor. The front desk staff were warm, thoughtful, and very friendly. Check-in was quick, and they even upgraded my room – wonderful! I especially want to thank Mr. Wang Tao; he answered all my questions with great patience. It was quite a coincidence that he was the one who assisted me with both check-in and check-out.
The hotel is bright and clean, very tasteful, and fully equipped with comfortable bedding and excellent hygiene. The dining options are diverse. I particularly recommend their free laundry service. This hotel is definitely worth recommending to friends visiting Dalian.

Connected to the Hilton, this hotel is relatively quiet as there aren't many guests. Downstairs, you can see the convention center and the old Dalian Port pier. While the price was a bit high during the summer, the room was quite spacious, though the facilities felt a bit dated. It's well-suited for business travelers. The cost of living in Donggang might be a bit higher.
For breakfast, I highly recommend going to the Hilton's first floor. There's a wide variety of dishes and the space is much larger. The egg station lady on the 38th floor, however, had an absolutely terrible attitude! Any deductions in service points are solely because of her!!!
The pool isn't very child-friendly as there isn't a separate pool for kids.
