3-Star Hotels in Dalian

Since the hotel does not have its own building, you have to wait a very long time for the elevator. It cost 180,000 won per night, but the cleaning service was not outstanding. They didn't refill the toilet paper or replace the cups. I asked for a bottle opener and ice at the lobby, but they said they didn't have any. It was a novel experience, as this is the first 4-star hotel I’ve stayed at in the world that said they didn't have ice.

Excellent customer service from arrival to check out. Staff were prepared & expecting my check in. They able to identify me and greeted me warmly. Registration was efficient and quick. I was escorted to my rooms with my luggage assisted by a male staff(姓谷). Throughout my 7 nights stay, he always greeted me w a smile and unfailingly polite whether at reception lobby or at breakfast( helping me get my coffee and recommending additionals) In fact, all the staff were always courteous when I passed them, giving me directions when approached, offering an umbrella when it was raining on my way out & thus making me feel welcome in Dalian. The location is right in the heart of Kaifaqu shopping zone and all within walking distance. I love the 2nd floor lobby layout with free beverages, comfy seats and even a long informal conference table seatings for impromptu meetings. Attractively arranged fruit platters delivered daily to my room always made me smile upon my return and made my day. I would definitely choose Orange Hotel if I return to Dalian.

I've stayed at Dalian Tianxi Hotel many times; it's my go-to whenever I'm in town. Their service is exceptional, and they offer self-service tea and coffee in the lobby. If there are enough available rooms, they'll even upgrade us, which makes for a more comfortable stay. The rooms are also quite spacious and well-soundproofed. The hotel's location is fantastic, making it convenient for transportation, dining, and visiting various attractions. If you're looking for good takeout, you can ask the front desk for recommendations – their suggestions have always been delicious, which I really appreciate. I give this stay a 5-star rating!

My stay at the Lavande Hotel Dalian was fantastic! The location is excellent, making it super convenient for getting around, and the surrounding commercial area is well-developed, so dining and shopping were a breeze. The room was spotless and odor-free, and the 'forest air purification system' made the air fresh and comfortable. The Mousse mattress was soft and supportive, ensuring a really sound sleep. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, and the Bluetooth speaker was a nice touch, making shower time incredibly relaxing. The front desk staff were warm, attentive, and very responsive. Check-in and check-out were handled efficiently. The breakfast buffet offered a rich variety of options, both Chinese and Western, and everything was nutritious and delicious. Overall, it offered great value for money, with attention to detail and a refined, quiet environment. It's perfect for both business and leisure travelers. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Dalian!

Choosing the Roosevelt Atour Hotel for our family road trip was such a smart decision! The hotel has its own free underground parking, and the parking process is straightforward, which was a huge relief when traveling with lots of luggage. The location is perfect for a family vacation, with Xinghai Square and the Oceanarium just a short drive away. There are also plenty of supermarkets and snack bars nearby, making it super convenient to grab snacks or late-night bites. The room was clean and odor-free, the bedding was comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, so our kids weren't disturbed while resting. The hotel amenities are thoughtful, with self-service washing machines and dryers, perfect for cleaning clothes after a day at the beach. The 24-hour bookstore is quiet and a great place for kids to relax and read. The staff were enthusiastic and patient, and check-in was quick. The overall environment is quiet and cozy, offering incredible value for money. We'll definitely choose to stay here again on our next trip to Dalian.

The entire room was meticulously cleaned, with fresh and dry bedding, and even the corners and bathroom were spotless. The front desk staff were warm and efficient, offering helpful local tips and responding promptly. Overall, it was an amazing stay. This is definitely my top choice when visiting Dalian, highly recommended!

I stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is right in front of Dalian Station, and there's a market selling dried fish and a food court for breakfast nearby, making it very convenient! There are free drinks like orange juice at the front desk. I was very grateful that laundry was free! I didn't know how to do it, so I asked a staff member, and they washed and dried my clothes for me and left them in the laundry room. There are four bottles of water in the room's refrigerator and four more on the desk, and you can get more at the front desk if needed. Room amenities include a toothbrush, toothpaste, face towel, body towel, shampoo, conditioner, etc. It seems you can also request anything else you're missing from the front desk. However, there are no pajamas, so I recommend bringing your own. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful. I ordered a large quantity of goods from Taobao and had them delivered to the hotel, and they checked to make sure they had arrived. They also taught me how to use Uber. I didn't have a Chinese phone number, but they lent me one, which I was very grateful for. 😊

Unfortunately, this hotel turned out to be the worst of my entire two-week trip around China. The staff was friendly, but they didn't speak any English. Overall, the hotel didn't seem particularly foreign-friendly. Simple requests like a fruit bowl or an adapter to charge phone baffled them. When I checked in, I found a clump of long black hair on the bathroom floor. I had to ask them to wash the floors again. The hotel didn't offer any apologies or compliments for this situation. Breakfasts were the most disappointing part. This hotel was the only place in China where I had a bad meal😭 The noodles and even the stewed cabbage were swimming in oil, everything was overly vinegary and garlicky, and there were no fruits, vegetables, or desserts. I ate there only twice in five days, and both times I suffered from severe heartburn. The positive moments are an ideal location and comfortable beds and pillows. I slept well there, even though the room's windows overlooked the highway and not the park as stated when booking.

This was my second time choosing this hotel for a layover because it's close to the airport. Last year's stay was great, the price was reasonable, and the receptionist was very friendly and attentive. This year, I booked a standard double room. When I arrived, the receptionist said the window was an interior view window facing the corridor. Since I need a window in my room, I asked how much an exterior view window would cost. I think booking directly through Ctrip usually costs an extra 40+ RMB. Of course, I didn't expect the hotel to upgrade for free, so I asked the receptionist how much extra it would cost. She looked at the computer screen with a calculating expression and said, ”Add 99 RMB.” I said, ”Oh? Isn't it only 40+ RMB?” Then they asked for my ID. I didn't say whether I needed it or not. Seeing that I didn't react, they didn't look at me, still looking at the screen, and said, ”Okay, here's 49 RMB.” I said, ”No need. The original room is fine.” This is supposed to be a proper hotel, but upgrading a room is like a free market? The TV remote was covered in a thick layer of dust, probably because it wasn't used often and the staff hadn't cleaned it properly. I pressed a button and the TV turned on, but then the remote stopped working. I opened the back cover and saw that the batteries were chewed up and bent out of shape – I wonder how long ago it was? Was it a previous guest or a staff member? My flight was at 7:30 the next day, so I asked the front desk for a 5:00 wake-up call. The receptionist was very responsible. The hotel doesn't offer airport shuttle service before 7:00, so I hailed a taxi outside the hotel. It was easy to get a taxi.

I originally booked a king-size bed room without windows, but when I checked in, the front desk lady upgraded me to a family room for free. It has an extra-large double bed and a single bed. The room is large and well decorated. It is very close to Xi'an Road subway station. The price/performance ratio is great. I will stay here again next time. I highly recommend it.
