Villa Avantgarde

Very nice family place, run by a former tour guide Luke, they are in the business for a long time so the place could use a bit of repairs but its just a perfect value for money in any case. Breakfast is served daily from 7 to 10. Good choice of salty and sweet starters. Pool is a plus but I didnt use it. Parking is ok but for the three days there I was most of the time walking..to beach..to caffes..to boats...its all really near..no need for a car.

The Villa Avantgarde is wonderful place to stay end enjoy Dubrovnik Coast. Great location with tons of restaurants and cafes. The pool area is perfect for relaxing. And we absolutely loved the team of hosts, too. Luka and team were so hospitable, taking cake of the cleanliness of our room every day, giving us loads of local recommendation for food and other, making sure we were totally comfortable during our stay. The ladies on the breakfast were very friendly, which is tasty and fresh made every morning. Our room was very clean with everything you need. And it’s great to have the balcony to enjoy coffee and drinks on. I would like to say also that Mlini has beautiful beaches, clear sea, water sports, children playgrounds, long walks along the sea and great shoppers. If you want great value for money and a great place to stay then book this!

As soon as we arrived to villa Avantgarde it felt like we came home, with all of the walls painted in different colors its really not a typical hotel, likely a villa with dozen or so units on three sides of the building. The front part are the terraces belonging to the apartments, in the back of the villa there is a pool with shared bbq grill. We had a pleasent time, nice breakfast, would come back in the future.

Super breakfast and service. The delightful Franca gave us excellent advice including the buses ( just outside the hotel) to Dubrovnik and Cavtat both about 20 mins away. The local Sheraton and Mlini beaches were well kept and very relaxing. The nearby shopping centre and local stores along with the choice of good value cafes and restaurants, was a real bonus. I think this is one of the best placed hotels you could hope to stay in.

Such a lovely hotel staff are all so friendly , the hotel is spotless, larna does an excellent job cleaning the rooms , breakfast is delicious and hotel owner is lovely and helpful ! Close to beach , and bus stop just outside to get in to dubrovnik , I would definitely recommend this hotel!!!

Had a fantastic week here! Lovely little boutique hotel. Franka really is the best host you could ever wish for. So friendly, so helpful, and nothing is too much trouble for her. Made a lovely holiday an exceptional one, thank you! :)

After reading some reviews I was a little wary but I quickly discovered that this was the perfect accommodation. The greeting from Franka on arrival was excellent, very helpful person always with a smile on her face. My room was lovely and spotlessly clean, I could not fault it in any way. I had a lovely balcony with wonderful views of the mountains and sideways down to the sea. Breakfast had a great choice and lovely to have it sitting on the terrace. Location is excellent, a short walk to all the facilities this beautiful area has to offer and local buses practically on the doorstep to Dubrovnik one way and Cavtat the other way, both of which I would highly recommend. The beach in Srebreno is beautiful, swimming in the clean sea was one of the highlights of my holiday. I would not hesitate to recommend Villa Avantgarde and will definitely be back.

Villa Avantgarde is a fantastic retreat near Dubrovnik. This clean, peaceful, and cozy villa offers a warm welcome from the friendly staff and serves excellent breakfasts. With a sandy-pebble beach just a five-minute walk away and a refreshing pool on-site, it's the perfect place to relax. The added convenience of a garage and easy access via Uber from the airport makes it even more appealing. Highly recommended for a memorable vacation.

Villa Avantgarde is advertised as 4 star. Whilst it was ok in the main, we thought it would be lucky to be 2 star. We mentioned to a member of staff that the shower head and hose was hanging to the floor, and that the bracket holding it to the wall was broken. It didn't even come out of the shower head as an even flow, and whilst holding the head in one hand, and trying to get washed, it was a difficult task. There was no fridge in our room, and there were 3 cups supplied, with no kettle, and at the beginning of the week stay, we had 2 tea bags left for us. I put one tea bag in the drawer by my bed, and by the end of the week, there weren't any more supplied to us. The television worked at times, but the signal didn't always work, which ended our viewing, and the remote control wasn't working either. The bed cover was a thin sheet, and there were stainings on the wall in places. There was also some pipework or cables that were taped up which we didn't know what they were. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice, and the hotel was nice and quiet on the whole in a pretty good location not far from shops and beach. I don't think we would return as for the reasons we mentioned earlier. We still enjoyed our week although it was very basic.
