"Have stayed here before but it was 6yrs ago so was delighted to discover the high standards have been maintained. We had a superior room(411) which suited us perfectly. Nice room with large bed and superb ensuite and a lovely view over the inland lake. Could even see Blackpool Tower in the distance. Breakfast is another superb affair with so much choice and quality on offer. All in all a brilliant couple of nights summer break. Only minor disappointment is the additional £15 per night charge for on site parking which I considered to be steep tho took it for pure convenience."

"I stayed at City Studios for one night over the weekend with my partner, and overall it was a good experience for the price. Before we arrived, Leanne had cleaned the studio and it was very clean when we got there. The bedroom was spotless and the whole place felt well looked after. The kitchen area was also spacious and fully equipped, which made the stay comfortable and convenient. One thing that was slightly confusing was the parking. When we arrived, we were told there is additional parking available but it costs £13 for stays over 13 hours. The app is a bit misleading because when you select the option it says “you will be charged when you leave.” My partner and I thought that meant we had already paid for the parking, but it actually only saved the card details rather than completing the payment. Once we realised it hadn’t gone through, we paid for the duration. The staff did mention that we could still get a ticket, so it would be helpful if the app wording was clearer to avoid that confusion. Aside from that, the stay was good value for money. For £60 for one night, the studio was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Overall, I’d recommend it for a short stay."

"I came to Southport on my own , to see family and to go to the Liverpool match. The staff at the hotel were very helpful , my tv needed fixing and they got a maintenance person to come and fix it for me. I felt safe here , there are plenty of food places nearby and my hotel room had everything I needed. I would stay here again and I would recommend 😃"

"Norbreck Castle is okay but has the potential to be so much more. On the outside it looks different to those in the area but inside, it doesn't stand out amongst the others. Walking along the corridor to get to our room, I had wondered what we had let ourselves in for. The floor was full of litter and toilet rolls left outside rooms. The room itself was okay, relatively clean, however it did whistle when you open the window! The windows weren't very clean and the soap dispenser pumped out sludge and dirty water. It was reported to the reception desk, but in the 2 days we were there, it wasn't cleaned or replaced. We only chose to eat there for breakfast. The cooked food was fine, the 'continental' option was disappointing. The staff were friendly. The location isn't too bad and there's a tram stop at the front which is helpful for getting around to visit the sites. Compared to hotels abroad for the same price range, it's well below standard. Would I visit again? Yes, but it wouldn't be my first choice."
