Stayed for two nights in August - booked the night before hence the very hefty £600 price tag! (via Booking.con which obvs took a cut). Staff are friendly so no problem there. Is Central and easy to find which was a bonus. Issues are the 1500 check in time (they sorted it out for 1330 which we appreciated) and the state of the place. Cluttered reception didn't now well, neither did the broken lift for that price. Dubious stain on the floor outside of our room and a dubious smell inside - had to have a spray straight away to get rid. It wasn't £600 worth of room with a dirty feeling carpet, broken bedside lamp, cracked mirror bathroom, tight ass telly you had to pay to get Netflix after initially watching one thing for free and no breakfast - for £600 which still stings. Comfortable bed and clean sheets fortunately. The bathroom was clean thank goodness but rubbish shower curtain rail which fell down and a matching shower head that had a mind of it's own, swivelling every which way but the way you wanted. Right racket from the adjoining bar but after a long day, soon fell asleep. The terrace was the best thing, nice area to sit down when the sun was shining and a shortcut from the bar. Not knocking the staff as I said but just feel robbed, it needs a deep clean, some investment in the tired old decor. A Travelodge, UK budget hotel seems like a five star after this place and and won't be making that mistake again!

You get what you pay for. We have just got back after 5 nights here. They changed the sheets once and the towels every day. It was clean and we had BBC1, BBC2 and ITV1 on the telly. At €9 the breakfasts are okay- very basic. The rooms are small, and storage is inadequate. The slightest level of clutter will make your room look a mess. There aren't that many plug sockets and two of them are hard to access. The lavatory has a good flush and the shower is efficient. It cost €350 for 5 nights, and staying in Brugge for that is pretty cheap. Suss out the buses to and from the centre. Night buses run from Stadshouburg at 22:00 and 23:00, saving a bit of a yomp back when you will almost certainly have eaten, and may even have had a few drinks. You will want to do some culture. The museum pass bought while flashing your Brugge card which the hotel will give you will cost you €28 and it will pay for itself if you only go to see the Flemish Primitives at the Groeninge and have a look around the Gruuthuise museum.

We have enjoyed our stay in this hotel with short walking distance to the Centrum.
We have tried the breakfast which was good as Service staff offered freshly cooked omelette.
The only set back is the route to the hotel which we found a lift outside the train station to the level of the carpark leading to the hotel is very Dirty n Smelly. Upon Check-out we used the Hotel Back Road which leads to the Train Station instead of using the Dirty/Smelly Lift.

The only thing good about the hotel was the location. Every thing else was bad. This is NOT a hotel you should book if you are driving and will like to park your car. The hotel will tell you that there is a huge public parking right across but will not tell you that to get to the parking lot will take 15 minutes of driving though walking back is 5 minutes. Also there are no clear directions and the whole old town is mostly one way.
Hotel is old and not well maintained. Color scheme is very dark and lights very gloomy. Paint on walls and even doors are in bad shape. Washroom need lot of upgrades. I would never again stay in this hotel in fact will stay away from NH hotel chain.

This hotel is fantastic! The location is 2 minutes from the market square although it is quiet. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The room was very large with a refrigerator, a desk and two chairs. The shower and sink are separate from the toilet which was awesome. Both of those rooms were large. This may be the nicest hotel I have stayed at in europe. It felt modern and luxurious from other places we have stayed at. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. I'm not sure what the room is called that we stayed in but it had one large bed.

This Hotel exceeded all expectations and we thoroughly enjoyed staying here. As well as being absolutely beautiful inside, the Hotel had a lovely ambience, the staff were very friendly and helpful and everything - rooms and public areas- was spotlessly clean. We very much enjoyed the bar which was very reasonably priced, and the very friendly bar tender makes the best ‘Old Fashioned’ cocktail my husband has ever had apparently! The Hotel is very well situated - 10 minutes walk maximum from the main market square where most of the bars and restaurants are situated, and even less than that to the plethora of chocolate shops! The hotel offers underground parking for £25 Euros a night.

We loved the Dukes Palace. We had no idea of its history but the palace structure, the layout and the large courtyard hinted at the opulent life of its former inhabitant, the Duchess of Burgundy who presided over the area in early history. It's a marvel what they had done in terms of creating beautiful rooms out of the palace space. The location was perfect, right on one of the main commercial streets in the old city center. They had elegant corridors, well-decorated spaces for informal lounging. The rooms were tastefully furnished. Breakfast was good, with an egg station. They brought coffee to you in nice porcelain containers. And interestingly, they had slabs of white, dark and milk chocolates that you could cut pieces of. This was pretty unique. All the staff were courteous and very accommodating. My wife complained of an unpleasant smell as we would come out of the hotel - but not sure what that was - cat's poop? The pillows were too large round and hard - my wife complained but they didn't have any other type.

Very nice hotel, good welcome, too bad the rooms are at 3 p.m. We arrived at 2 p.m. We were asked to pay 15 euros to have it before it goes overboard in other establishments, it is free especially for 1 hour.... The sauna is nice, the little one lunch there is a choice you are sure to eat sweet or savory. Correct standard room with small samples and Nespresso style coffee maker with 2 coffee capsules and 2 tea bags but no kettle.
Comfortable bed, the problem is the small fridge which makes noise all night as well as the heating.

GGuest UserObviously, the owner of the property, Jason, has put a lot of thoughts into furnishing it and has taken great pride and care in its upkeeping. The property is located on the quieter side of the old town but is anyway just about a 5 minute walk to Markt. The room is well appointed, spacious and clean. The breakfast prepared personally by Jason is sumptuous and tasty. A fantastic stay!

GGuest UserWe regularly visit towns. In this case Brugge. This is a hotel found that is the value, appearance and authentic as no other. I will never even talk about the hospitality and the warmth that Hans and his wife have made us experience as guests.
A room where nothing is missing. Extremely clean, air-conditioned, separate toilet and bathroom. The facility is realized with respect and sensitive love for the history of the building. I appoint the beautiful chairs, the bed with history to Italian Lucca. And with modern adjustments of this time. Regent shower, double glassing, LED TV and feature furniture. The extensive breakfast is served in the oldest part (14th century) of the hotel and not only by the countless breads, insecticides, fresh fruit but even without breakfast is an experience. In short, fantastic and we will certainly come here.. - Come back.

GGuest UserWe stayed here for four night and would come again. Room was lovely and the bed incredibly comfortable! Loved the pillows. House cleaning were great. Only criticism of the room is sometimes the upstairs guests were a little noisy and to operate the hairdryer you had to permanently grip/hold down the handle to work it (no on/off switch) so with my long hair this was a little arduous so I would recommend bringing your own in future. As others have mentioned it is an annex to the hotel where you check in and have breakfast etc. breakfast was amazing and very generous (you helped yourself) and I didn’t mind walking to the main hotel. Only minor criticism was the check in process we struggled to initially understand where we had to check in and the intern checking us in accidentally presented us with someone else’s details but all was fine in the end. Good location to use as a base also. Overall a lovely, clean and high quality hotel that we would recommend and return to.

GGuest UserWe visited Bruges for the first time earlier this month and came across this hotel which looked good online so we decided to go for it. We were definitely not disappointed! The service of all of the staff we met was amazing, very friendly and eager to help and have a chat with you (in multiple languages). The bar man in particular had expert level knowledge of local beers, gave some good recommendations of places to go including marking it on the maps and we had a nice chat with him for a good couple of hours while enjoying his drink recommendations at the bar. The room was very clean and a good standard with plenty of room for all of our things. The pool facilities were lovely and clean and very enjoyable to use. The breakfast was tasty and even when busy the staff were quick and friendly. It was also a very accessible hotel as there were ramps over the small stairs and elevator access to the higher floors. To top it off the hotel was also only a 25 minute walk from the train station and less than 5 minutes walk from the main square so an excellent location. We will definitely be telling our friends about this hotel if they want to visit Bruges and will return here ourselves in the future.

GGuest UserJust back from a weekend in Bruges and I can't recommend the Hotel Bryghia highly enough. It's in a great location - just far enough out of the centre to be blissfully quiet and but less than 10 mins walk from the Market Square and Belfry. Right next to a beautiful canal and bridge. It was the perfect balance of an old building but with modern facilities. The bed was so comfortable, we had the best night's sleep. We were welcomed by the very warm, friendly owner, and by some Belgian chocolates in our room! The map and local knowledge he shared were priceless. We are already planning to visit again in the Summer and will definitely book the Bryghia.

GGuest UserThis hotel is absolutely amazing. The price for 1 night is affordable. My partner booked last minute and we didn’t expect what we see online is what we get in person. The room is lovely and warm, bed is so comfortable, pillows are the softest ever we had amongst the hotel we have been for holidays. The room space are enough for couples and couldn’t ask for more. The ambiance upon the reception up to the lounge are absolutely amazing and beautiful. The lovely receptionist was so friendly as well. We highly recommend this hotel to everybody who are looking for affordable and budget friendly accommodation.

GGuest UserFriendly staff, lovely hotel, buffet breakfast was good value and convenient. Location was spot on and the family room was cosy, clean and had loads of space. Nuts from mini bar were cheaper than in the supermarket which we couldn’t believe. Only downside was the shower head wouldn’t stay in the holder so we had to hold it to shower which was a shame. Overall we would return if we came back to Bruges.

GGuest UserOne of the worst lodging experiences out of the hundreds of trips I’ve taken. The story begins with me mistakenly booking for august 11-13, 2023 instead of the intended dates of august 12-14, 2023. So, I made an additional reservation for august 13-14, 2023, to stay as planned. Both reservations were fully prepaid on agoda.com (€199 for the first 2 days and €108 for the third day). Upon checking in on august 12, 2023, I was informed that the 'paid-for' room was already occupied by someone else, and I was not allowed to use it. Their reason was that I didn't check in on august 11, 2023. The hotel voluntarily cancelled my reservation and ”gave the room away” to someone else on august 12-13, 2023, WITHOUT ANY CONSENT from me or ANY PRIOR NOTICE. It's a ridiculous joke. I am renting a room, not participating in horse racing or any kind of ******** like that. I'm i don't need to arrive earlier than others to use the room I’ve paid for, right? Even the front desk staff mentioned there was nothing they could do at the time and offered no assistance or resolution for the situation. I struggled to find a hotel on the same day and had to pay a substantial fee for last-minute accommodation in Bruges, while the room I paid for is being rented by the hotel to someone else. As for the second reservation on august 13, 2023, the hotel's conditions were just as terrible as their treatment of customers. There was no nightstand as pictured, not even a single clothes hanger, the room was too hot to close the door in august (no air conditioning or fan), and the noise was unbearable with constant disturbances from the adjacent room's door and footsteps in the corridor. 徐徐This city is particularly beautiful. It is recommended to stay for at least three days. I stayed for two days and it felt a bit short. Love very much... Hope to go again if I have a chance. The hostel is so-so, but there is nothing special. The main thing in the hostel is luck. The quality of the roommates in the same room is very important. Some make noise in the middle of the night.
