Hotels near Jewish Quarter, Budapest

My wife and I spent 5 fantastic days at the Eurostars Ambassador and it ticked all the boxes for comfort, cleanliness and food. We were sad to leave. Check-in was quick and hassle-free. We had some issues with the air con in our room not working properly but we were quickly given another room so impact was minimal. Our room was quiet, spacious and the 6 foot wide bed was fantastic. The TV had Netflix and YouTube etc so we had plenty to watch after a busy day of sightseeing. As it was our tenth wedding anniversary I had ordered champagne to be delivered to our room at a specific time and it arrived exactly as planned. Breakfast was tasty and had plenty of options, both hot and cold. There was bacon, sausages, baked beans and scrambled egg. Lots of different juices available and we loved the bread as it was so fresh. Whole milk and English Breakfast Tea meant that we didn’t miss our tea back home. The staff are the crowning jewel in this hotel. Always smiling, helpful and professional. Special mention to Khan and Nawaz as well as everyone else. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant. This is a fantastic hotel and a credit to the Eurostars chain.

The building has been beautifully restored and we took many pictures of the lobby and reception area. It is conveniently located for any amount of services and good restaurants. The staff were so helpful and we even received an email the day after we left advising us that we had inadvertently left an important document in our room and offered to forward by mail. Fortunately, we were able to call in and pick it up as we were still in the area.

We had a reasonably sized 1 bed appt. From other reviews I was worried about noise and bad behaviour of groups of tourists but this is a block of 90 apartments and only 24 are tourist rentals. Others include a number of people with the title ”Dr” so they are not riffraff, if you know what I mean. Our stay so far has been very quiet. Almost no noise from inside the block. It's the centre of a city so there is road noise etc but the windows are triple glazed so keep the noise out very well. Lift and corridors are all v bright and well cleaned. The area is touristy to some extent with loads of good value eating places including a very popular Hungarian restaurant where you need to book called Getto Gulyas. The area as a whole used to be the Jewish ghetto so the huge synagogue is close by but that meant that the are as a whole is quite run down in appearance. I think that makes it a much more interesting feel than some of the more renovated areas. This apartment block is new enough that it's not shown on Google satellite. Apartment was very clean and well equipped with washing machine and dishwasher. Everything you need for cooking on holiday. Furnished exclusively from Ikea by the looks of it but it felt new and not worn out. Bed is comfortable and on the firm side. So far the is absolutely nothing of any significance wrong with the apartment. Maybe we have been lucky by not being near a stag party. But we've only seen one about town in our stay so far. From our experience we would recommend.

The hotel is very beautiful and modern and the staff very welcoming. not knowing the city, they do not hesitate to advise me on places to visit and explain to me how to get around with public transport. The room was very comfortable and modern corresponding to all my expectations. The only small negative point that I could cite is the restricted opening hours of the restaurant and the bar. Taking into account the neighborhood (8th arrondissement), I would have preferred to eat at the hotel than to have to go out or order. In summary, a great stay and can't wait to come back!

Apartment central. Room was nice. Reception staff not the most friendliest. The beds in the apartment are 2 single beds on wheels not ideal for married couples who are having a weekend away and wanna cuddle up at night. Glasses provided and there was another guests crisps in cupboard. These should be binned as open and unhygienic eating crisps someone has had their hands in. Rooms cleaned daily. A few times maids came in when we were in our single beds. Took towel and never replaced them, had to get out shower to go down and get new towels. It is quite noisy as apartment is on main road. There is blinds on the windows. There is brown curtains but they don’t fit the window so the sun shines in and wakes you up. No chance of a long lie. Beware of street taxis - they will try rip you off when you have been drinking alcohol. I’d download bolt - just like Uber. Kebab shop a few doors down - lovely food Spar straight across the road. Close to some fab bars. Unsure if we would stay here again.

Chose this hotel for the good location and the fair price and honestly didn't expect too much from looking at the pictures. When we arrived we were allowed to check in way earlier than normal. Our room was small but functional, beds were cozy and there was plenty of room for storage. Everything was clean and the rooms are fairly noise proof. Our room was next to the elevator and we didn't hear it once. Breakfast was extensive and really good quality. The staff we interacted with was incredibly friendly and helpful, we felt so welcome and really enjoyed our stay here. Fully recommend, really an underrated hotel.

This hotel is right across the Danube river from the parliament building. It is a beautiful site at night with all the lights. The hotel sits on the street that goes along the river. And the hotel is up-to-date and clean. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful.  There is public transportation that runs in front of the hotel. The metro station is about a five minute walk.

Currently here at the moment and tbh I’m disappointed! Not like the reviews say. It’s a good 45 min walk to the centre of Budepest. The breakfast is lack lustre at most! Luke warm hot drinks, only one side of the toaster works and very basic buffet. Rooms have no tv, or hairdryers! The amenities it says are here simply aren’t, rooftop bar closed, pasta shop never open, spar next door is very limited hours and the staff are rude. If your wanting somewhere to stay with things around it don’t stay here it feels like your in the middle of no where. Nothing much around it so do expect to be walking quite a way to get to anything. I comply understand it’s geared towards student but even these must be bored to tears with the lack of amenities around the hotel, not even anywhere to grab a bite to eat within a good 10 min walk. Would I stay here again? Absolutely not On a plus note the reception staff are lovely

Clean hotel with comfortable bed and generous breakfast selection. We relaxed in the soaking pools every night after walking all day. For a traditional meal with great atmosphere & live music, walk outside, go left & walk 2-3 blocks behind the hotel. Extensive menu & spirits selection at very affordable prices. The price is not expensive. It is cheaper than in China. It is very convenient to take a taxi to other attractions. It is friendly. The service attitude of Hungarians is far from that of Western Europe. The breakfast is rich. It is recommended to go early. There is a long-distance bus station opposite. It is very convenient to buy tickets online to Austria and Slovakia. Budapest is very safe during the day. I will choose it next time
