This hotel has been the first choice in Cape Town for years. And we were not disappointed on our last visit to this wonderful hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of Elton and his team. The view of the sea from our room was magnificent and the breakfast was always a great start to the day. We are already looking forward to the next time.

We had very high hopes for the treehouse boutique hotel while the finishes are of a very high caliber all of the mattresses at the hotel our cloud nine manufactured March 1995. I had one of the worst nights sleep ever there was no support whatsoever. I flipped the mattress, and it did not help speaking to Management. I requested that the mattress be changed out they said they had no extra mattresses and all the mattresses in the hotel were the same they offered for me to stay at their sister hotel the Zest hotel, however their mattresses were purchased at the same time when I requested compensation, they refused I will not be staying at any of the living journey hotels ever again. I do not recommend staying at the treehouse boutique hotel in Cape Town. Choose Grace Bay or the table mountain hotel.

I have been living and traveling in South Africa throughout the winter and have stayed at the Tree House multiple times and have recommended it to my friends and father who have come to visit . I’ve been extremely impressed by their hospitality and courtesy toward me. Their management and staff are all warm, helpful, and happy to see and help you. I can’t recommend this establishment enough for anyone visiting Cape Town for a short or long period of time.

It’s hard to describe just how wonderful this place. First, it’s stunning. It’s tastefully decorated, with lovely views. Second, it’s hard not to sleep well in the very comfortable bed. Third, the breakfasts are delicious and generous. You won’t go hungry. Did I mention they have a cake of the day? That alone is reason to stay here. But most importantly, the staff are true gems. They are beyond kind, bending over backwards to please. Every single one of them. I’ve traveled to nearly 50 countries, so believe me when I say The Tree House is a very special place. I even changed my plans so I could stay a second time here. It would be a mistake to stay anywhere else in Cape Town.

The staff at this hotel are great. The manager in particular is excellent - he really cares about the experience of his guests. However BEWARE! The room was not as advertised. It was dark, and facing a busy road and we could hear loud traffic noise 24/7. We understand that the manager tries to avoid allocating guests this room, and the owner knows that the glazing in the room is insufficient and plans to re-do it this year. In the mean time, the owner continues to allow guests to stay in this room and charges full fees for it. The manager tried to find resolution for us but the owner was not cooperative. Finally, we were offered a 20% discount for one night - which we declined. We are taking up this mis-advertisement with the booking platform, so that this does not happen to others.

A lovely hotel situated away from the hustle and bustle of the V&A water front, but within easy walking distance. Very friendly and attentive staff. Comfortable and quiet room. Delicious cooked breakfasts! Hotel offers transport to any location you desire within the locality. However, this is expensive when compared to Uber, which we used, which was about 50% cheaper! I would certainly recommend this hotel.

This was a great boutique hotel for our first adventure to South Africa and Cape Town specifically. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a standard room and it had all the amenities. The staff really makes your stay wonderful. They were very helpful and kind. We loved Peter who drove us all over Cape Town and gave us safety tips. We used the lounge and ordered in food one evening. We loved the 3 o’clock cake and breakfasts were lovely. It was too cold to use the pool, but we were able to enjoy the peaceful setting. We tended to use the hotel's driver or Uber and didn’t walk at night, but during the day the walk to the waterfront was quick and easy. We used the laundry service and it was quickly done. All in all the four couples that stayed had a great time and we would highly recommend this hotel!
