Fleur de Neige Châtel
"Perfect stay with half board. Excellent restaurant. Very quiet and comfortable. The half board menu was very qualitative. The breakfast was very complete, there is even a centrifuge. Good wine list. The welcome is very pleasant."
Hôtel Macchi Restaurant & Spa
"Just a brief background. This was our fourth visit. We knew full well how much it was costing for a ‘FoUR STAR HOTEL. Our choice. After three days travelling we were happy to be back at this four star family run hotel. What ensued was a catalogue of disasters . From 8pm to beyond 10.30 we were consciously aware of scrapping of furniture on the floor of the room above us. The has a policy for all customers to seeof CALM AND TRANQUILITY RESPECT FOR ALL CLIENTS. No noise after 10am. Kevin, whom I assume was the night manager but because he had no badge to tell me exactly what his job description was in this hotel, I naturally assumed he was the night manager. He did his best IMMEDIATELY. Kevin wasmost apologetic. By 10.15pm the noise carried on. Kevin once more told the noisy people had to stop and he apologised profusely I cannot say a bad work about Kevin. He did his very best to put things right for us and the very next day we were moved to the newly renovated room 35 on the third floor All was good. No more noise. Little did we know! All very nice superficially. Here starts the problems. It was cold The windows had workmen’s handprints on them but most disturbing and the point I am making is the way I was spoken to when I pointed out FoUR TIMES that the bath tap DID NOT and STILl DoES NOT WORK. I showed Matilde a video of the problem, I spoke to a young girl who quite frankly was nothing short of verbally aggressive - obviously missed the customer service training day! Yesterday, two days and six hours after reporting the problem someone appeared and said ‘oh you just bash it’! The moral of this tale is that the tap had not been checked after installing and visibly not wired properly and the staff were inadequately trained how to deal with the problem. The heating was also faulty. So the answer to my question is. Since the parents left the hotel the young staff have no customer service training. No management leadership. Is it worth £350.00 a night? Definitely not. Will I recommend or visit again? Definitely not. And what’s more on reading my customer feedback Hôtel Macchi, please do not insult me by telling me you can’t please everyone. As a hotel owner the point is to give the VERY BEST experience for ALL YOUR GUESTS"
Résidence Odalys les Fermes de Châtel
"We stayed one week in Odalys during the christmas holiday with a family of 5. + The place was very well located in opposite to the Super Chatel + Close to a lot of the restaurants / city center + Apartment had two bathrooms and a balcony + C building was quite - Amenities are very poor; 1 regular and 1 small towel per person for a week. Towel change is 5€ per towel. The same towels should be used for the pool. No kitchen towels only a paper cloth Only 1 dishwasher tablet No soap in the bathrooms/shower - The spa/wellness which is advertised on the website is only a steam cabine (9€ for 30min) So overall this is a ok place only not worth the 4 star rating. Plus it would be nice to know this beforehand because then we would have brought our own stuff."
Fer à Cheval
"We received a spacious apartment as offered. From the seniors to the teens, all were satisfied."
Hôtel le Kandahar
"We have been visiting the Kandahar regularly for seven years and have always had exceptional meals and service. Having eaten at many restaurants in Châtel, both on and off the mountain, the Kandahar remains our firm favourite and chosen location for family occasions. A big thank you to Florence and family for the wonderful hospitality and memorable meals. "
CGH Résidences & Spas les Chalets d'Angèle
"The front desk staff were very nice and the apartment was okay. The issues that we had were: - the WiFi was non-existent. None of us managed to connect all week and we were told that this was a problem with the exchange rather than the apartment block. This didn't ring true as we had friends in the village whose service was fine. So if you are with teens, expect a large data bill - take your own pillows. The pillows provided barely deserved the term “pillows”, being tiny and without shape or support - take your own towels; those provided had seen better days -showers; the flow was weak in both - hot water. At peak times, i.e. the morning and after skiing, we struggled to get hot water. I was told that this was due to demand. if you are going to build an apartment complex, one of your key services is hot water - oven. There were no instructions."
