Hotels near Chang Phuak Gate (The Elephant Gate), Chiang Mai

Everything that a great hotel has to offer and provide to their customers is found in Roseate Chiang Mai hotel. With excellent service, room, decor and most of all incredibly cheap price this beats a 5 star hotel anywhere else in the world. We decided to spend our New Year holiday in Chiang Mai and go there on a Sunday so we can experience the Sunday market in the Old city. The hotel is located at the Northern end of the city that boundaries Chang Puak gate and the North end markets. The canal tributary of Mae Ping river is also across the hotel. The hotel's location is great that were just 10 mins walk from the center of the old city so we have some quite and at the same visit the Old city anytime we want. The busy Sriphum Road also has many local buses, taxis and tuk tuks if you need to go to other parts of Chiang Mai. As a boutique hotel the decor is beautiful - a twist of Thai and Romantic theme with flowers and paintings all over the hotel. The color motif is Red and Pink. The lobby is wide and spacious. The check-in and check-out went out quite fast and easy. They also provide tour packages in their tour desk. Just before the entrance there are several coffee tables set-up if you would like to sit, relax and enjoy the cool weather Chiang Mai has to offer. The hotel has lift and stair despite its a low rise hotel which is a great feature. Our room is on the 2F and we have several access to it - at the back, stairs and lift. The room is very big and spacious. Clean, Homy, Quiet, Private and Cozy. They provide safety lock and slippers which not all hotel provide. Water and Coffee/Tea are complimentary. The wi-fi is very fast and the TV channels have both local and cable and plentiful. The Queen size bed is clean, comfortable and big. The toilet is equally big with shower and sink separately, they also have unlimited soap and shampoo dispensers. At the price of just 50 dollars per night we have free breakfast with it and I am very much amazed - it is a buffet!!! A combination of Thai and Western foods. The choices are fresh and delicious. It was a short brief 3 days stay in Chiang Mai but if I go back no question and doubt about it - I will be back at Roseate Hotel Chiang Mai wholeheartedly. Kapkunkap :=)

An okay budget hotel but I have a few complaints: - Ants in the corner of my room (they changed my room the next day) - Bed is super hard, my back felt stiff the next day - Hot water tank is not reliable, so water temperature tends to fluctuate Otherwise, it's in a good area for restaurants and cafes.

It was a good location and the room was huge. It was also nicely decorated in an old Thai style which made it a very ambient place to stay. However, it’s very dated and clearly hasn’t had any upgrades. The bathroom was horrible and while technically it has been cleaned, there was so much mould in the shower tiles and a huge section of the ceiling was mouldy as well. It was not pleasant to go there especially as it’s where you want to go to get clean.

Upon appearance this hotel looks rather elegant and really quite charming and in a great location, close to local markets and bars and a good base for tours. The lobby is gorgeous and the lady checking us in was very informative and polite. The room we were given on the 18th floor. (1826) was huge and although dated was still very nice and with a great view of the city. The pool area is lovely too, but as you can imagine the bar prices were expensive. The good ended there. The lifts take far too long to come down. There is an express lift but is no faster. The wifi is very hit and miss. The beds were awful and were sleeping on concrete blocks. Had the worst night’s sleep for the 1st of 2 nights. 2nd night we actually slept quite well but mainly due to being so tired from the night before. The shower is nothing but a trickle, and there is a ledge on the floor in the doorway when entering the bathroom which is very easy to trip over, maybe get some yellow tape on it. Breakfast was mainly catered for asians, not many western options at all, and what was there was grim, we had breakfast included but didn’t bother the next day. Over all it is good value for money and if they were to change the mattress I would stay again but the beds were just truly abysmal.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Travelodge Nimman during my trip to Chiang Mai, and it exceeded my expectations in many ways. From the moment I walked into the lobby, I was greeted by friendly staff who made the check-in process smooth and efficient. My room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was especially comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a day of exploring the city. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's location in the vibrant Nimmanhaemin area. With its abundance of trendy cafes, restaurants, and shops, there was always something new to discover just steps away from the hotel. The hotel also offers a delicious breakfast buffet with a variety of options to suit every palate. It was the perfect way to start each day of my stay. Overall, I would highly recommend Travelodge Nimman to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable place to stay in Chiang Mai. The combination of excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and prime location make it a top choice for travelers. I can't wait to return!

Stayed here with friends again. The room was spacious and clean, and the bathroom was great. There is plenty of hot water and the water pressure is very good. Breakfast is basic, but it's okay. But what is not so good is that there is a group of Chinese people living in the hotel. They are not polite and selfish. I know that this description is inappropriate, but they are like a group of hungry pigs that have just been released. Don't blame the hotel, they are estimated to open their eyes for business.

🏢 Hotel : R2 ChiangMai Choose to stay in a cozy studio type room, decorated quite cutely. Gives a cozy feeling, looks warm and comfortable. The bed cannot be moved because it is a built-in bed. It has a cute, slightly Japanese feel. Minimal. At the end of the bed, a Smart TV (Samsung Serif TV) is set up. 1 It fits the style of the room very well. And there are also chairs and a center table where we can sit and do things. -------------------------------------------- 📍Location : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The hotel is located in the area behind Chiang Mai University. Which is considered quite good. Because it's close to both food sources. and entertainment venues, convenient travel, not too far from the city -------------------------------------------- ⚡️Facilities : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The rooms have electrical appliances such as televisions, refrigerators, and water heaters. and hair dryer For guests to use | Television as a smart TV Can connect to the internet and watch Netflix, Youtube, HBO easily. But what I feel doesn't work well is the cleaning products, shower gel and shampoo that are provided in relatively small quantities😢 There is a musty smell inside the bathroom. You should find a diffuser to eliminate the smell in this area. -------------------------------------------- 👩🏻💼Services : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The employees talk sweetly and all have smiles on their faces. I am surely guarantee that the price comparing with the facilities are perfectly match. The plus is the staff’s service and performance. The room is big enough for living with the dark theme style. Its call unique and the place is very clean. I will coming back for sure :-) and see you everyone.

Got to stay in a room at the end of the corridor, 5th floor, room 502. The room was good for the price, but the bathroom looked like a new addition. The problem is that the new addition at the end of the bathroom has a tile floor that is lower than the original floor, most importantly, lower than the sewer pipe outside. Resulting in bathing time The bathroom floods every time. I'd like to quickly improve it. Overall the hotel has good rooms and good service. Breakfast is good.

The desk staff deleted my email booking then they talk me to give the email booking. Lucky we have save the booking number. My partner found my email booking in trash email. because they said they are full double bed they cant provide. They gave us 2 single bed. We got a cheap price on agoda. We book superior double bed. They said it is full and on vacation people book a lot. Then they should call and check with us if they cant give the room like booking. They ask us to add money and upgrade the room. They said because we book on agent agoda then we should contract agoda. They dont do anything with that. We derived far from city to get a room with 2single bed for a couple. Very disappointed Never come back again. Dont recommend anyone to come here.
