"We had a wonderful time at The Funny Lion in Coron. The rooms were incredibly spacious and kept spotlessly clean every single day. We loved the thoughtful extra touches, like the complimentary cookies and the delicious, fresh daily fruit shake. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the staff. They are incredibly friendly and made us feel so welcome by addressing us by our names every day. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would love to come back!"

"It was an amazing experience in staying at sunzen resort the room was spacious for the three of us. Cold aircon that keep us to more comfortable stay. Complete amenities perfect for travellers. The breakfast is very generous with buffet sides if you like fruits and some home made sweets. The place was daily maintain the cleanliness. And the free ride tricycle is very helpful for us. All the staff was kind and friendly they will always greet us. Over all our experience staying at their hotel is very nice amd perfectly comfortable. Definitely will book again when will go back to coron. Again thank you sunzen for a generous services."

"This hotel, on paper, is lovely. I have been traveling through the Philipines for a few weeks now, and this is the first one I booked for a more ‘premium’ stay. Relaxing after a long 6 days hopping around diving and things. When I arrived it was nice! A good lobby, friendly doorman who helped with my bags. The floor staff were always great. The reception staff were rude and not helpful and genuinely seemed to verge on incompetent. Constantly asking someone every question (even simple ones, what time is gym open) I asked on a radio. I guess there was a supervisor somewhere who knew things were going on. The possitive - - Great pool (s)! - Lovely relaxing cafe with cheap, great quality food. - Friendly staff wandering the halls (house keeping and attendants I guess) - always smiling and saying hello. The negative - - Rude staff at reception. - The room was stale. Many reviews mention this, but I put it down to the damp Philippine climate and maybe people hadnt experienced it before. I was wrong. It’s rotten. They know it and try mask the smell with cheap air fresheners everywhere. Not good. - the public areas desperately need freshening. The dirty elevator, the doors to rooms, the way the halls are totally blocked by cleaning materials. - the bathroom had so much mould life. - I probably need a tetanus shot after touching the ‘gym equipment’ - dirty bedding (full credit - they appologised, send house keeping, they changed it - to a somehow dirtier sheet). Bottom line. I checked out and moved to another resort near by. Hoping it’s better. Book with caution! It’s cheaper than the other ‘high end’ for a reason."

"We enjoyed our stay at Two Seasons Coron. It was close to town proper and there available tuktuks outside the whole which was convenient. If you want to open the curtains and enjoy some sunlight, book facing the sea. Ours was by the road so every time we step out so hang something, we have an audience lol This is something I will consider again next time but over all, it was a pleasant stay. Please change your hand bar soap to just a bottle soap, for sustainability purposes. They already have shampoo, body wash and lotion and refillable bottles which was good to see. Bar soaps dont finish in 3 days, and a shame thinking were it will end up after use. Thanks!"

"Stayed here for 4 nights. Great location in heart of Coron. 4 minute walk to pier for island tours. Can book all tours through the hotel cheaper than any online vendor like klook ect. Room clean but a lot of ants in the room every day and we did not have any food in the room. We were killing 10+ ants on the bed every evening which wasn’t ideal. Staff very attentive and helpful. Was a power cut for 8 hours on our final day which was very annoying as no aircon but that was island wide so can’t blame hotel for that. Overall good budget stay but do not expect luxury."
