First time visiting Dali with my elderly mother. We stayed in Dali Ancient City (Haixi) for the first two nights, experiencing its lively bustle. For the latter two nights, I specifically booked a hotel near Shuanglang Ancient Town (Haidong). After comparing several options, I chose this cliffside seaview guesthouse. Upon arrival, whether in the guesthouse garden or in the room, we had unobstructed views of the blue sky, white clouds, Cangshan Mountains, and Erhai Lake. This trip was absolutely worthwhile! 😊 The guesthouse service was also good, and they even offered complimentary bedtime milk. 🥛🥛

I'm quite particular about my accommodations. Every time, I have to scout out countless guesthouses beforehand, comparing guest reviews to see if the location is close to popular spots but cleverly avoids noisy areas, making it suitable for a relaxing stay. Wow! My friends, do you think I'm too picky? Let me tell you: I've traveled through almost all major cities in China, stayed in all sorts of hotels and guesthouses, and yes, I've had some bad experiences. This time, I meticulously chose the 'First-Row Seaview Garden Guesthouse' in Shuanglang. The breakfast was nutritious and plentiful: boiled eggs, corn, sweet potatoes, small steamed buns, congee, freshly ground soy milk, rice noodles – pretty comprehensive, right? Did you see the pictures? I was enjoying breakfast while looking at Erhai Lake, aren't you jealous! The guesthouse was clean and tidy. Besides the Erhai view, the courtyard was filled with greenery, and there were several photo spots. Inside, the bedding was clean, the mattress comfortable, and they even thoughtfully provided a 'beauty's footrest' sofa, a great spot for scrolling on your phone. The shower and toilet were separated, with no unpleasant odors, and even the disposable slippers were of good quality. The best part is waking up and walking a few hundred meters to stroll by Erhai Lake. When you come back, there's a market not far from the guesthouse entrance, with a wide variety of fruits, all good quality and low-priced. You can buy them and enjoy them at the guesthouse while gazing at Erhai Lake – don't you agree that this First-Row Seaview Garden Guesthouse I found is fantastic? And for the last crucial point: you're probably already thinking that such a place must be expensive! Well, listen up, the value for money and quality-price ratio are absolutely off the charts. Come on, stay here in Shuanglang, and if it's not as good as I say, let's discuss it in the comments section.

This guesthouse is perfect for photos and also great for a relaxing getaway. The biggest highlight is the amazing sea view from the room; the floor-to-ceiling windows face Erhai Lake directly, so you can see the Cangshan mountains and the clouds from your bed. The balcony loungers are also perfect for just chilling out. The room is well-equipped, the bedding is comfortable, and the soundproofing is good, ensuring a quiet and restful environment. The breakfast, especially the rice noodles and soy milk, was delicious! 😋 My child loved it so much and wanted to stay another day, but our plans changed, so we'll have to come back next time.

Highly recommend the Sanse Yunhe Erhai Shuanglang store! It's a hidden gem of a sea-view B&B nestled in the ancient town. The balcony offers direct views of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake, with stunning sunsets and the 'Water Hyacinth' flower season right before your eyes. The entire home boasts rich wooden textures, and complimentary snacks, drinks, and bedtime milk are provided. The butler service is attentive and thoughtful, ensuring a comfortable stay with delicious food and incredible photo opportunities. A must-stay when visiting Dali!

The owner was exceptionally thoughtful and meticulous. Fearing guests might want to take beautiful photos by the sea, the hotel prepared many lovely long dresses for photoshoots. Each dress is washed and kept clean after every use, so even if you get wet playing by the sea, there's no need to worry. You don't have to bring your own heavy clothes, making it easy to capture that perfect beach vibe. The small amenities in the room were also thoughtfully and warmly prepared: makeup remover wipes, disposable toilet seat covers, and feminine hygiene products were all provided, along with clean disposable towels as an option. The owner quietly anticipated and took care of all those little inconveniences travelers often encounter. The daily afternoon tea was also very generous, with substantial ingredients and ample portions, not just flimsy snacks. Sitting by the sea, slowly enjoying tea, watching the ocean, and feeling the breeze, allows you to leisurely soak in the gentle time in Dali.

This is a truly spontaneous review! The owner upgraded our room, and the sea view was absolutely amazing. This was the best guesthouse I booked during my week in Dali. The sunset and sea views were incredibly beautiful. I wanted to extend my stay for another night, but all the rooms were fully booked. The location is also super convenient, just a few meters from the ancient town. The owner offered pick-up and drop-off, and the recommended restaurants were incredibly delicious. A warm B&B with tasteful decor and a patient, enthusiastic owner. They helped with our luggage, and the breakfast was delicious. Our kids loved it so much they didn't want to leave and wished we could extend our stay, but unfortunately, it was fully booked. Directly across from the B&B is a large lotus pond with a beautiful name, 'Lotus Serenade.' Our whole family was very happy here. We'll definitely choose this place again next time. Came to beautiful Dali with my girlfriend, and we really wanted a sea view room facing the ocean to relax. I found a place on Ctrip and booked it with a 'let's see' attitude. My girlfriend was absolutely delighted once we checked in! The hotel is right by the beautiful Erhai Lake, it's clean and hygienic, and the atmosphere is cozy. The owner (Lao Biao) is very enthusiastic, and the young man at the front desk is handsome. This was a very satisfying stay in Dali, and the experience was great! 👍👍👍

Fantastic experience! I've been to Yunnan many times, and this is by far the best hotel I've stayed in overall. 1. The hygiene is excellent. They provide a full set of Jo Malone toiletries, and thoughtfully include sleeping pants, eye masks, and mosquito repellent. 2. The service is superb. The staff members are very friendly and respond quickly. 3. The hotel's view is amazing, perfect for lounging on the sofa and gazing at Erhai Lake. 4. The breakfast is delicious and offers a wide variety of options, though the rice noodles weren't quite to my taste.

This hotel in Shuanglang is incredibly convenient, located near Xihai Mu Dui and many other beautiful restaurants! You do need to climb a dozen or so steps to reach the hotel, but the stairs are lined with beautiful flowers. Once you get to the entrance, you'll find that the entire ground floor is an open lobby and lounge area (unlike other guesthouses that cram rooms onto the first floor, making things feel cramped). The front desk even has freshly brewed herbal tea, and the breakfast is absolutely delicious – rich in variety and perfectly balanced. The room was an even bigger surprise; it's very spacious with a fantastic layout that feels so comfortable. You can see the sea right from your bed, and the private balcony is huge. Sitting out there in the evening was the most relaxing part of my trip to Shuanglang. A big thank you to the hotel butler for the warm and thoughtful pick-up and drop-off service, and for helping with my luggage. I had a wonderful two-day stay.
