Stayed for two nights in two different room types. The front desk service was particularly good. The two families wanted to be close to each other and extend their room. The room is small, the curtains are automatic, the smart toilet is not as smart as the manual one, and the toilet seat is so hot that there is no way to adjust it. The room comes standard with four bottles of water, which is great. The wooden floor of the room creaked when stepped on. It’s a good idea to fold the unused rolling paper into triangles and stick them with small stickers. The location is good, only a 10-minute walk from Mingtang, and there is a Longjuxiang restaurant within 500 meters. I don’t know how the breakfast is. This restaurant has the strictest breakfast management I have ever seen. Double breakfast is double breakfast. Children have to pay an additional 48 yuan to enter, so I gave up breakfast because I didn’t eat much. The welcome fruits on both days were bland, but it was better to have them than not.

The hotel is really good and convenient. It's in a walking distance from the Ancient City and Walls, there are several small shops and local food stalls around it. The breakfast is completely Chinese style, but it's good. The gym is very small, in fact, not even a separate room, just very few machines, but it was not that important for us. Personnel are very helpful. Everyone did their best to make our stay comfortable. Especially, the manager Kristina - she is very kind, helpful, assisted us a lot, with some practical things and some advice, when it was necessary. Definitely, will stay here another time.

Facilities: basically complete, with a small bucket of purified water, hot water comes quickly but it may be an electric heater. It takes 20 to 30 minutes for one person to take a shower before hot water comes out. There are reminders on the wall. The room is small and there is no toilet paper. There is no partition in the bathroom for showering. There are only a few TV channels and the effect is poor. Parking is difficult: there are only two parking spaces at the entrance of the hotel. It may be that their internal staff's cars are always occupied. Although there is a small parking lot at the back, it seems that it can park five or six cars, but there are actually only two or three empty spaces, and the parking lot entrance is often blocked by parked cars. Although the boss will come to help solve it, it is always inconvenient. Therefore, the hotel will arrange parking on the sidewalk, but I heard that you will be fined during the day. Hygiene: clean and odorless. Environment: quiet and good for rest. Service: Breakfast is OK, three staple foods, three kinds of porridge, two dishes, but there are five or six varieties. It is very necessary for us tourists who are away for a long time. The cleaning aunt is particularly good.

The room is amazing, with complete facilities, clean and tidy, warm environment and friendly service. The front desk guy upgraded the parent-child room for us when he saw that we were with children. The first night was not very convenient, but the front desk took the trouble to adjust the room for us. This warm service makes people feel very intimate. The details of the entire hotel, the gym, and the children's activity space can make people feel at home, especially when they return to the hotel after a day of playing. Half of the fatigue on the body is eliminated, and dirty clothes can be washed and air-dried by self-service laundry; the breakfast is rich and long, which is very suitable for the elderly and children, and the coffee tastes great. It is also very convenient to travel and close to the ancient city. It is also very convenient to order takeout. I will stay at Manxin again when I come to Datong in the future.

The hotel is in a very good location, right on the road, with hotels and shopping malls nearby, making it very convenient for shopping and eating. The hotel front desk lady was very enthusiastic in helping me upgrade my room type. The apartment-style hotel password check-in was very convenient. The bathroom was very good with dry and wet separation, and there were free disposable face towels and bath towels, which felt very considerate. There is a large paid parking lot downstairs of the hotel, and there are hot pot restaurants, Hunan restaurants, knife-cut noodles, local specialty drinks, etc. There are also Sunji buns and knife-cut noodles nearby, so you can experience Datong cuisine when you go out.

Very good old style hotel in a very beautiful building with nice gardens and fountains in front of it. It is located outside the city walls, but with very easy and quick (10 min) access to it by bus or taxi. It is at walking distance to VoVo Park, a reasonably good shopping mall with very good food options. The room was quite spacious and comfortable, clean and well equipped. Staff is very nice and helpful.

When we arrived we were given the wrong room in B tower with single beds, we had to go back downstairs and show the booking again to request the correct double room in A tower. The rooms and amenities are old, and the fridge is broken. I called reception who told me to bring any items I want to cool down to the reception and use their fridge, when I asked if we can swap the broken fridge for a working fridge, they said all of the fridges are like this. They won't admit the fridges are all broken, but all of the fridges in the hotel are warm and won't make your food / beverages cold. The hotel is in dire need of an upgrade, and they need to replace the fridges.
