"Breakfast was brilliant (especially the fruit salad), the room was so clean and the proprietors were very attentive, happy and helpful. It's the second time my son and I have visited there, and look forward to going back soon"

Exmoor House ★★★★

📍 12 West Street, Dunster

"Lovely weekend stay in November at this historic venue in a beautiful building. The hosts James and Jane were perfect and very friendly. Breakfast was gorgeous, best fried bread we have ever had. Fresh milk for each room was a great feature and extra was never a problem. Comfortable bed and great nights sleep. Dunster village is a beautiful place. Highly recommend this friendly high quality B&B."

Luttrell Arms

Luttrell Arms ★★★

📍 32-36 High St, Dunster

"Very disappointing lunch. After a visit to Dunster Castle, we booked a lunch in the bar area. I'm afraid my burger was horrible with poor quality of meat, turkey dinner was tasteless and my houmous sandwich was the worst I'd ever eaten. We won't eat here again."

Yarn Market Hotel ★★★
"Dunster, lovely location. however rooms and bathrooms are not serviced during stay. (cleaning materials placed in bedroom for customers use). very plain ,old fashioned 1950's feel. breakfast was fine. dinner menu limited and bland lots of boiled veg. ( if you'r lucky there is some free street parking. we got lucky) otherwise pay/park 5-10 mins away . cant honestly recommend this hotel, fairly expensive for average accommodation. feel prices high due to location."

"Had a fabulous short break at this B&B. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. There is everything you need supplied from tea, coffee and biscuits to a full range of toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast is excellent and plentiful. James and Jane are very friendly and helpful, offering excellent suggestions on restaurants and places to visit. Dunster is a lovely little village with good restaurants and pubs to suit every budget. The wider area is also great to explore we especially enjoyed visiting Lynton and Lynmouth using the open topped bus."

""We visited on January 3rd, attracted by the charming look of the place from the outside. Unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. Despite being the first customers to arrive, we were treated like second-class guests. While other tables were carefully set with placemats and napkins, our cutlery was simply dropped in the middle of the table rolled in a napkin. No placemats were provided for us, even as we watched staff properly set the tables next to us for later arrivals. The room was also incredibly cold. When we mentioned this to the staff, they dismissively told us the heating was 'automatic' and did nothing to help. To make matters worse, the fish and chips were extremely greasy. It was a very upsetting and uncomfortable experience. We did not feel valued as customers at all. — Rafael Maresco""

"We had a lovely 3 nights at this wonderful bed and breakfast in Dunster. It’s in the most beautiful spot next to the Mill Stream that runs to the watermill attached to Dunster castle. Our room was clean and comfortable and our hosts couldn’t have been nicer. Breakfast was good and plentiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it to anyone in search of peace and quiet and an escape from the rat race."
