"Hotel location is still better overall, walking to the train station, close to the city hall and the old port, travel is very convenient. The entrance of the hotel is relatively small, it is a small door next to the mall, the elevator is on the top floor after the front desk check-in."

"Great service all round. Clean, spacious good quality rooms, good breakfast and service with a smile. Breakfast is included in the price and comes along with a complementary minibar with soft drinks and beer, including coffee and tea. Very comfortable beds. The only thing I missed in the room was an iron for a creased shirt (I didn't ask, but maybe they have one at reception). The dining area is spacious yet has a cosy feel. There is a terrace by the waterfront and although I didn't use them, there is a gym and sauna in the basement. Close to Emden centre, parking is free for guests (subject to availability) and there is disabled access throughout the hotel. Plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from within 10 minutes walk from the hotel The price seems quite high, but it is reasonable value for money, taking into account the high standard of service, and of course the complimentary breakfast, minibar and parking."

"We had a double room, which was very beautiful and bright. The rooms have very beautiful colours and are tastefully furnished. The bathrooms are very clean and breakfast was very delicious. The breakfast buffet had a very large selection of fruit to Müsli. It is a Greek restaurant right next to the hotel, allowing you to go through a door to the restaurant without having to leave the hotel. The hotel has a very central location, it is quite close to the city and it is very close to the wall that is super suited for beautiful walks. It really liked us and we'd like to come back."

"We visited the hotel in 2019 (under the old owner) and in August 2023. Whoever here expects a modern hotel is disappointed here. No, this hotel is needed to visit if you look for something else. The hotel is in an old building from the Preussen times. Even when you arrive (parking right in the house), you can see this great restored old building. When you enter, you will immediately notice that here is sprayed a special charm of history. The hotel has a total of 20 rooms of different size and equipment. There is no lift here, but a large stairs. We had room 28 in the first floor, at the end of the corridor. With a front/garderobe you get into the room (by an extra door). The room is divided into the bedroom with a bed and a hairdryer with a large leather couch, a small desk with a small refrigerator and coffee maker. The back of it is the bathroom. All is in good to very good condition and clean. The breakfast offered is normal standard. The hotel staff is nice and always helpful. Concluded: When we come back to Emden, we'll go back to this hotel."
