Forest House Hotel

I had a very good experience at this hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They allowed me to check in early after arriving from a long flight. The room was very clean and perfect for a solo traveller. It was a fair walk from the nearest subway station but the area was quite nice. Lots of small shops and food options.

The staff were friendly. The hotel is basic but solid - fine for travel on a budget. Before booking, beware that the hotel is located on the corner of two very busy streets. It is loud 24/7 (at least at the weekend) - bring earplugs.

Rooms were clean and fresh smelling. Staff were kind and helpful. Would visit again without a doubt.

Decent room for price. Location convenient for budget trip to London (short bus ride to Wood Green tube). Friendly and helpful staff. However, I stayed on ground floor and at 3am each night I was awoken by noising people coming. The floor is wooden and the room doors have no sound insulation. I improved situation by third night using silicon ear plugs and I pushed the second duvet up against the door but still woke up to the noisy arrivals. Some carpet in the corridor and some sound insulation of room doors would be helpful. I informed the reception of my concerns.

Surprisingly warm and welcoming hotel in north London. Newly renovated, cosy and comfortable, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a room only stay, within shouting distance of new Spurs stadium and with plenty of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. Staff could not have been nicer. Easy walk to Palmers Green railway stop bringing you straight into city centre and plenty of buses on your doorstep. Shout out to Occasional Half sports bar nearby who looked after us well.

Good value comfortable and safe place with secure parking - excellent staff. Well located site for locations near North Circular road, lots of services nearby, good value parking, warm rooms, hot water 24/7, top wifi and nice bedding.

Well, had to lay my head somewhere as all local places were booked, The guy I spoke to was a genuine decent guy, micheal was his name, I had to take a studio flat as it was all they have, all I wanted was tv and shower, so first impressions, yeah it's a studio room, lovely views of green lanes, first thing was wire hanging out of wall, which I was told for cctv, ( alarm bells ) why cctv in a room all cables are normally external. Prob just mis comunication. So first thing I always do is turn the box on, we'll one of them, found out both didn't work, so gave micheal a call and he sorted it straight away, great service. I only had a few issues, 1 it was like the Sahara, but there was 3 fans, so all good, 2 hobs not connected wires just left in cupboard,( luckily I forgot my super noodles). 3 fire alarm is in cupboard with fire blanket and extinguisher, which is a no no but easily sorted, other than that all good ill stay again, oh this room has views of green lanes but no curtains so you wake up when the sun does, but hey so do the birds, value for money? Probably if they get the safety issues fixed and curtains, also wired in hob and displayed fire blanket and extinguisher, but other than that, it's wood green and I'd stay again.

Stayed at The Forest Hotel on Sunday 4th June. Excellent location and the friendliest staff! The lovely lady at reception booked us in and even went to the trouble of ordering a taxi to the stadium. The owners son was also super helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble and very happy to assist in anyway. We stayed in room 4, a spacious twin room. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean, beds were comfortable and shower was brilliant. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room too. Overall a fab stay, would highly recommend and return if I was to visit the area again.

The hotel was ideal and in a good location. However, we were awoken by a male letting himself in our room at 6am in the morning with a key then realised we were in the room and quickly left leaving the doors open. When highlighted at reception they didn’t seem overly worried as if this was normal
