"The hotel is not too far from the train station, just a few minutes' walk away. The hotel breakfast and dinner were delicious, and the staff were very attentive and helpful – definitely worth a thumbs up! The rooms were clean, but there was no air conditioning. The bathroom had heating pipes, making a hot shower very comfortable. The hotel also has a swimming pool and sauna, which are great for enjoying during your vacation."

"We had a lovely stay at Kempinski Palace Engelberg. The hotel went the extra mile to decorate our room for our honeymoon, which made it feel really special. Everything was very clean, and the view from the room was beautiful. The restaurant was great, and the staff were consistently friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended for a romantic getaway or a relaxing alpine escape."

"The review is not for Hotel Central instead for their inhouse restaurant. Didn't stay at the hotel but had couple of group dinner at the restaurant during stay at Engelberg. The group dinner was pre-booked with time slot. Both the days, Indian buffet were served which had decent options of bread, rice, veg and non-veg dishes including chicken and fish. The foods were tasty too. The restaurant has a comfy ambience and seems to be busy dining place. Overall satisfying dining of Indian cuisine at Engelberg."

"This was a truly excellent hotel experience in all respects. The room and facilities could not be better, the views spectacular, the food excellent, the ski bus stops right outside the hotel etc. etc. but what made it particularly special was the extremely friendly staff who made me feel incredibly warm and welcome, and went to great lengths to make sure I was happy and comfortable in all respects. I will most definitely be returning."

"I recently stayed at the Hotel Schweizerhof in Engelberg, and overall, it was a perfectly decent and average experience. It hits all the basics well. The hotel is in a great, convenient spot, making it really easy to get around Engelberg, or walk from the train station. My room and the common areas were clean and well-maintained. The service was friendly and checking in was smooth."

The hotel has a great location and everything is within easy walking distance. Parking is available and you can even leave your car there for the day. Check-out was not until 1:00 p.m., super helpful... and very cozy. Great!!"

"We spent a week at the youth hostel in Engelberg with friends and have nothing but positive things to say. The management and the entire team were simply wonderful! We wanted to go skiing, but unfortunately, the weather was so bad for four days that it wasn't possible. The very empathetic management offered us new suggestions every day for alternative activities for the children. This personal attention was absolutely fantastic! We enjoyed a superb breakfast every day with Bircher muesli, boiled eggs, delicious coffee, fresh juices, and a wide variety of breads – there was something for everyone! And every evening, the cook conjured up a new menu for us, consisting of soup, main course, salad, and dessert. The dishes were also quickly adapted to vegetarian requests. They were incredibly flexible, and compared to what you usually pay in Switzerland, the price was very fair. It was also great that lemon-cucumber water was always available (we'll definitely be introducing that at home 😄). A kettle, microwave, and guest refrigerator were also excellent additions. In the evenings, we could all sit together and play games in the dining room. It was all incredibly easy! We had a six-bed room with its own modern bathroom and we all felt very comfortable there. We slept wonderfully on the comfortable mattresses! Even on our departure day, we were able to shower after skiing. And there were many lovely surprises for us at Easter. Thank you again for everything! We had a fantastic stay and would love to come back!"
