"Lovely roast beef dinner though could've done with one more slice of beef. Love getting gravy separate to pour myself. Halloumi fries starter delicious. Cullen skink was okay. Salt & pepper calamari tasty. Meal for 4 starters, 4 mains, 2 shandies, 6 soft drinks, 6 coffees = £154.80 Staff were superb. Very efficient, friendly and accommodating. Whilst the food was good, the staff made us want to return and we will."

"My boyfriend and I stayed here after a day of whisky tastings in Speyside and it was the perfect, peaceful end to our day with a home-cooked meal (the best chicken Wellington!) and cozy evening in the estate lounge rooms. The property is gorgeous, has tons of history and the owners are an absolute delight to speak with. It’s the personal attention of a bed and breakfast but with all the luxury amenities of a five-star hotel, so truly the best of both worlds. My only regret is not staying here longer!! But it’s definitely a special property worth traveling back for."

"This hotel could not be more accommodating! A lovely historic country home turned hotel offering a central location. Very convenient to explore Moray, Inverness-shire, and Aberdeenshire, but away from the chaos and "touristy" stuff. Very clean, staffed by friendly and helpful people, serving yummy food. Keep in mind that this hotel is an independent, so if you're used to the big chains, this is not for you. But if you would like a true taste of Scottish hospitality, I could not recommend highly enough."

"Booked this hotel as a brief sleepover as my husband was taking part in the BYU. When we arrived at 8.45pm this kitchens were closed, which was a real disappointment as the food smelled wonderful. Not their fault we were later in arriving though but between the smell and the bar's aesthetic, I was sorry we couldn't experience it. When we arrived a young man who had actually finished his shift began to help us check in, which I thought was above and beyond and very kind of him. Faruq (apologies if I have misremembered your name) then stepped in to help. He was also kind, courteous and attentive, explaining that they had just recently bought over the hotel after offering to carry my bag up the stairs to room 5. That was also a nice touch and appreciated. The room was very pleasant, and I liked the fact that the bed sheets actually smelled freshly laundered. The only thing that needs mentioned as needing attention is that both the lamps that we used in the room flickered worryingly when first switched on. We didn't see any staff in the morning to report this (we used the key box) so hopefully these reviews are monitored so this is picked up on. My husband would have appreciated milk pods/sachets being supplied with the refreshment trays in the room - he's not a black coffee drinker, and also commented that the biscuit selection was tasty!"

"The little cabin had everything I needed for me and my 2 children and we were made to feel very welcome. There was washing up liquid and toilet roll, an unexpected tv with plenty of stations to occupy the kids in the early mornings, hot shower, great heater, toaster, kettle, fridge and hob .All so clean. Beds comfy. Little shop for anything needed, football and net and some small toys in shop area. Easy access to beaches/shops/attractions/airport and train station. Friendly hosts came to say hello as we left to check everything had been ok. Would definitely recommend a little holiday here, warm enough to stay in winter too. Enough room for 4. The kids loved their own little “gingerbread house” . "

"Absolutely stunning. Room was giant size. View of a never ending lawn. Owners were extremely friendly and helpful. They do not have dinner service, but do have breakfast. Large, expansive social rooms on the first floor. Not particularly easy to find. Don't trust your GPS. Call and get directions from the owners."
