Fall in Love with the Nujiang River·Buladi Manor Hotel (Fugong Branch, Nujiang) ★★★★★
"Not bad. The room's facilities, both soft and hard, and the breakfast taste were all great. Two minor flaws: 1. The mess left after a BBQ. Either remind guests to clean up after themselves, or hotel staff should clear it before they finish their shift. Seeing it first thing in the morning spoils the mood. 2. Please consider adding a mobile drying rack to the rooms. Guests need a place to hang their laundry after washing."
Fugong Old Mdeng Yunjing Yuanshe Homestay ★★★
"The standout feature of this small hotel is undoubtedly its stunning scenery. If a great view is your priority, it overshadows the hotel's downsides – and there are downsides. While the room itself was standard for China, we encountered a significant issue with a bad smell from the bathroom. Despite this unpleasantness, the view was consistently amazing. Breakfast was underwhelming too, but considering the hotel's remote location, choices might be scarce."
Fall in Love with Nujiang · Secret Bay | Hidden Land Mountain Forest Style · Luxury Aesthetic Hotel ★★★★
"I rarely review hotels, but this one is already on my favorites list and I'll definitely stay here again next time! It's a comfortable, pleasant, and stylish hotel with excellent service. The hotel coffee is delicious. The staff are all specially trained and very welcoming. They help with luggage, are always responsive, and patiently answer any questions. It's a garden-style hotel with a strong design sense. Almost all the furniture is designer pieces, of very high quality, and the beds are very comfortable. I'm very grateful to the bar for the evening's hearth tea gathering. Two young men from the Lisu ethnic group, Li Yajun and Yu Runzhong, were very helpful in answering our travel questions, introducing us to local customs, and roasting corn and sweet potatoes for us. Staying at Secret Bay made my vacation even more relaxing! I hope the hotel continues to do well!"
The Cloud GuanFang hotel zhiziluo ★★★★★
"I stayed at the Zhiziluo Yunshang Guanfang Hotel, located atop Zhiziluo Mountain, which is best reached by car. The views here are among the best in Zhiziluo; from the hotel, you can see the Nujiang Grand Canyon, Gaoligong Mountain, and Huangguan Mountain – the scenery is truly spectacular. The service was excellent overall. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and they even offered free rental of Lisu ethnic costumes for photoshoots. The villa I stayed in was spacious and fully equipped. The mountain forest environment was tranquil and peaceful, creating a wonderful atmosphere for relaxation. The hot pot chicken at the hotel's Wangu Restaurant has a unique flavor and is very characteristic of the local cuisine. A special thank you to the front desk staff for thoughtfully finding and reminding me of my lost phone – a very thoughtful touch. Overall, this stay was a very good experience and I would highly recommend it."
Mountain Homestay (Old Munden Village Shop) ★★
"The location of the B&B is good, right in the village of Laomuden, on the roadside, with convenient parking. There is a restaurant of its own, and there is also a restaurant next to it. You can walk to the church. Newly renovated, with a large shared terrace facing Crown Hill. The room is not small. I paid extra to upgrade to a twin room with its own terrace. The view is first-class. The only drawback is that there is no wardrobe in the room, so there is no place to hang clothes."
Sister Flower Inn ★★
"The room is exactly as pictured, so I won't show it much. I'll just show you the surrounding environment and scenery. The host is a local Nu ethnic minority member (Teacher Chen), and also an inheritor of intangible cultural heritage. Their folk songs are beautiful, and there's a demonstration of unique Nu musical instruments. If you want to learn about Nu culture, this is a good choice. It's a sisterly business; the older sister manages accommodation, and the younger sister manages catering. On the afternoon of our visit, we chose a local free-range chicken for dinner, which was delicious! 😋 The breakfast provided was also excellent; the eggs seemed to be from their own chickens, not factory-farmed chickens. Now, let's talk about the location. Laomudeng is located at a relatively high altitude. It rained and fogged the day we went, with visibility around three meters. There are many hairpin bends, and we didn't see a single house halfway up the mountain, almost thinking we were on the wrong road. Personally, I think the mountain road in Laomudeng is even more dangerous than the Bayinbuluke track in the movie "Pegasus." Parking is mostly on the roadside, and the road is a bit narrow, making both driving and parking quite challenging."
Love Nujiang · Laomudeng Mid-Mountain Sea of Clouds Hotel (Laomudeng Branch, Fugong, Nujiang) ★★★
"The location is good, right next to the observation deck, but if you can see Crown Peak from your bed, why bother with an observation deck? The cleanliness is so-so; you can see hair on the towels as soon as you open them. The bathroom lighting is dim, and there's no separate shower and toilet area."
Fall in Love with Nujiang · Secret Bay Wellness Vacation Mountain Lodge (Nujiang Fugong) ★★
"This hotel, nestled on a hillside by the river, was originally a village that has been beautifully converted. The room designs are very dynamic, and the service is exceptional. All the staff are locals, and their warmth and enthusiasm truly shine through. They are incredibly attentive and go above and beyond to cater to every request. The bedding in the rooms is wonderfully comfortable, and I particularly appreciated the dry/wet separation in the bathroom and shower. It felt very luxurious. In the evenings, walking along the winding paths through the jungle on the mountain is a serene experience, making it an ideal family getaway. The hotel also features a dedicated riverside promenade and a stunning infinity pool. Highly recommended!"
LaomudengShunshun Chinese Inn ★★
"When visiting Laomudeng, I highly recommend staying at this hotel. The moment you open the door, you're greeted by stunning mountain views and can admire the fairytale-like village architecture. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻"
