"The hotel is very modern and very well maintained. As for the rooms, they are large with a terrace. (lacking a coffee machine or a water heater). Upon arrival, no explanation about the hotel, its facilities (gym, swimming pool, etc.) The staff is not really helpful. Especially the barmaid who was not friendly at all. The buffet is quite well provided for both breakfast and dinner. (Bad point for the coffee at breakfast, the coffee is served in Thermoses and not great.) No worries about the availability of deckchairs and access to the beach is easy. (no sand here but rocks). For those who have an electric or hybrid vehicle, there is a charger (only 1) but free. It is up to fair play to free up the space once your vehicle is charged. The hotel is very modern and very well maintained. "This resort is ideally placed, right on the sea front and about a 5 minute walk to the market. There are loads of restaurants as you walk along the marina. The old town is up the hill and is very pretty. The coast here is rocky and the beaches are pebbly so bring your beach shoes! There's a lot of holiday accomodation in Vrsar so it does get very busy especially in the evenings. The accomodation is good, we went for a 2 bed apartment room only. It comes with a small kitchenette (fridge, microwave, hob and coffee maker). There's no kettle but a saucepan on the hob for boiling water is fine. The air conditioning isn't great and it's been hot overnight but not unbearably so. There's also no laundry room for guests to do their own washing but a big terrace in the room to hang things to dry. It is very hilly here. They have escalators to help get up the hill but they don't all work. They didn't help to get our luggage to the room- I think this is because a lot of people drive (there's a lot of cars from Austria). We went for breakfast one morning in the restaurant. As others have said it was very loud and busy. We've been getting breakfast from the bakery 5 minutes walk away. The pool is nice, not the biggest but it has a toddler pool, splash/slide pool and normal pool all together. There's plenty of sun loungers (although people tend to hog the parasols). The sun lounger area is banked with grass and trees so you can see what's going on in the pool. There's no hire car company in Vrsar as far as I can see and public transport is fairly non-existent. Taxis are quite expensive. Hire a car from the airport if you want to explore! There are plenty of boat trips from the marina. Activities for teens are only in the evening and can be 7+ or 12+. However there is a gaming room open from 6pm where you can get a half hour slot to play a game. The older one got some Fortnite time whilst we played Mario kart. It's very well organised and you can pre-book your slot one or two days in advance."

"A beautifully situated hotel with a large swimming pool. However, the rooms and balcony shutters clearly indicate that this chic hotel could use a renovation. The staff is, without exception, very friendly and helpful. A fantastic breakfast buffet, with the option of having breakfast on the terrace. For a small additional fee, you could also enjoy an extensive dinner buffet. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a premier room with a sea view. Because the pine trees have grown over the years, you can see the sea through the branches. An added bonus is that the heat on the balcony is filtered by the branches. A problem with the malfunctioning air conditioning was resolved early the next morning by a technician after we reported it. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return."

"A holiday in Croatia is a complete nightmare. We have been going to Croatia for years and have never experienced anything like this. Football kids from Italy who had no manners, manners or respect. The noise level was worse than a plane taking off late into the night, insults were the order of the day, the hotel staff were disrespected and physically attacked with plates and cutlery, people spit from the balcony and had no manners at the buffet. That was just a small selection. The hotel staff did what they could but achieved nothing. What a pity. The hotel won't be seeing us again any time soon."
