"Staying at the Mutian Garden Hotel was an absolutely fantastic experience, a solid five-star! Parking was stress-free with a huge, complimentary parking lot. Its location is perfect, only a ten-minute drive to the Grand Canyon, saving us a lot of time and effort getting around. The service was incredibly warm and attentive; the staff were so enthusiastic and proactively helped us with our large luggage. The rooms are well-designed with great facilities, and the hotel has an elevator, making it easy for both seniors and children to move between floors. The room itself was spacious with comfortable ceiling height, not at all stuffy, and the two 1.5-meter beds were ample for the whole family to rest. The entire room was spotless, and the bathroom had a three-part wet/dry separation with a comfortable smart toilet. The bedding was clean and fresh, and the soft lighting made for a very relaxing atmosphere. From the balcony, we had expansive views of the distant mountains. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, catering to both adults and children. The authentic Xinjiang Boursak and milk tea were wonderful, and our child especially loved the tomato noodles. The hotel's backyard had a fantastic ambiance, perfect for photos. We watched the sunrise in the morning, chased the sunset in the evening, and admired the starry night sky. A stroll along the quiet path to the Irtysh River was peaceful and therapeutic. We'll definitely stay here again on our next visit!"

Keketuohai Ruiyu Light Luxury Hotel

Keketuohai Ruiyu Light Luxury Hotel ★★★

📍 No. 40 Heping Road, Keketuohai Town, Fuyun

"Super satisfied! The whole house is smart. I booked early and the price was relatively cheap. After I arrived, I saw that the price had increased a lot that day. They also upgraded me to a better room for free. You can order meals and have them delivered to your room. The taste is good, but the price is a bit high. The breakfast needs to be improved."

DoubleTree by Hilton Altay Fuyun
9.3 (182 reviews)

DoubleTree by Hilton Altay Fuyun ★★★★★

📍 No. 39 Fuxing Road, Fuyun

"We booked a family room for a trip with our child. The air conditioner in the room started making a lot of noise after 11 pm, keeping the child awake. We tried to call the front desk, but the room phone was broken! After much searching online, we finally found the number, and the front desk sent a repairman who took a look but said he couldn't fix it and that the noise was coming from the entire 11th floor… We were up until 1:30 am when the child finally fell asleep, too tired to stay awake any longer. Until we checked out, not a single hotel staff member came out to offer any explanation! Beware of this hotel!!"

HanTing Hotel (Altay Fuyun)

HanTing Hotel (Altay Fuyun) ★★★

📍 No. 41 Xingfu Road, Ku'e'erqisi Town, Fuyun

"The hotel's location is excellent and easy to find, with convenient parking, making it very friendly for long-distance self-driving tourists. The rooms are clean and tidy, with no strange smells, a separate wet and dry area, stable and ample hot water, and soft, comfortable bedding, allowing for a good rest after a day of travel. The front desk staff handled check-in efficiently with a gentle attitude, and requests were responded to promptly. The breakfast selection is rich and delicious! There's also coffee available for purchase on the first floor! The public areas in the lobby are clean and quiet. I will prioritize choosing this hotel again for my next trip!"

"The room was spacious, clean, and tidy. The front desk staff were helpful and answered all our questions. The complimentary breakfast was sufficient for basic needs, and the à la carte dishes and barbecue for dinner were quite tasty. It's a great hotel for families visiting Koktokay."

Coco Tuohai Muxuyuan Homestay ★★★★
"We randomly picked this hotel from a few highly-rated ones, and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise. The hotel is right by the Irtysh River; open the window and you're greeted with valley views and starry nights. Both the interior and exterior design are full of character, the rooms are spacious and bright, and everything is spotlessly clean. I especially loved the animals – Lucy the sheepdog is gentle and smart, and the Ragdoll cat, I think her name is Tangdou (Candy Bean)? She's so clingy and loves to cuddle. The little chickens with their short legs scurrying around, and three little lambs frolicking among the grass and flowers. They were all so cute and adorable. The service was also incredibly thoughtful. Haixia was super enthusiastic and even helped us take many beautiful photos. The 'golden mountain' illuminated by the setting sun in the evening was absolutely stunning. Breakfast was also abundant, and what truly sets it apart from most hotels' pre-made fare are their freshly wrapped buns, freshly ground soy milk, tomato noodle soup, and pickled radishes. Every hot dish was prepared with care, giving you a taste of home. All in all, I sincerely recommend Keketohai Muyiyuan to anyone visiting Keketohai – it's truly worth experiencing! I'd also like to share some thoughts from this trip, hoping everyone understands what to see, what to do, and why at Keketohai. From the viewing platform of Keketohai No. 3 Mine Pit, the wind blows through the folds of the Altai Mountains, and the spiraling giant pit silently gazes up at the sky. Unlike previous visits, the mine pit is now open for entry, offering a more direct experience of this miraculous land and the hardships faced by the revolutionaries of that era. In this 'Mine 111,' a designation without a name, miners toiled in temperatures as low as -40℃, swinging hammers underground, hungry, and relying on their shoulders and hands to extract beryllium, lithium, tantalum, niobium, and cesium from the rocks, bit by bit. The beryllium for China's first atomic bomb, the lithium for its first hydrogen bomb, the cesium for 'Dongfanghong-1,' and the tantalum and niobium for nuclear submarines all originated here. In the 1960s, facing extreme pressure from the Soviet Union, and to take control of China's destiny, we resolutely decided to repay all 'debts,' including military aid from the Korean War and construction support during the Sino-Soviet honeymoon period. This meritorious mine's rare metals helped new China repay 47% of its foreign debt to the Soviet Union. Many people first heard the name 'Keketohai' because of 'The Shepherd of Keketohai,' but only by standing at the edge of the pit do you realize that Keketohai is not just a backdrop for a love story; it's the foundation of a great nation's dignity. So, I sincerely urge everyone: when you come to Xinjiang, don't just allocate your itinerary to Kanas and Sayram Lake. Dedicate half a day to Keketohai. Let the specimens of beryl, spodumene, and tantalite-niobite tell you a piece of history; let the yellowed work permits and rusted machinery transport you back in time; let the spiraling mine tunnels help you feel the power of patriotism and the spirit of dedication. This land and the nameless heroes who toiled here deserve the respect of every Chinese person. Let us receive a spiritual baptism on this old '111' seal, then stand tall and walk forward with determination 🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳!"

Keketuohai Ruiyu Light Luxury Hotel ★★★
"The room was clean, but there was a platform between the two beds. You had to climb the steps to get on the bed, and the mattress was placed directly on the steps. It was very difficult to stand up from the bed, which was not very friendly to us elderly people. It was like sitting on a small step to stand up. The hygiene of the restaurant was really not good. The bowls taken from the disinfection cabinet for breakfast were sticky and not cleaned properly, but the food in the restaurant tasted good."

"Choosing Mercure Hotel was the perfect choice for my trip to Keketuhai! It's located right in town, close to the scenic area and conveniently close to the ski resort. There's also free parking right outside, making getting around super easy. Although it's a new hotel, there was no smell of renovation when I checked in. The rooms were clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, the underfloor heating was excellent, and the front desk staff were friendly, quick to check in, and patiently answered all my questions. Overall, a fantastic experience! I'll definitely stay here again next time. Highly recommended!"

"This was my first stay at a Vienna Hotel, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this particular branch in Fuyun. The location is excellent, right by the Er River, making it easy to get in and out, and there's dedicated parking. I booked one twin room and one king room, both of which were very spacious with a logical layout and good furnishings. The linens and other amenities were high quality, and everything was spotlessly clean. The service and breakfast were decent, nothing exceptional but perfectly adequate. All in all, it was a very comfortable stay!"

"The room exceeded my expectations – it was spacious, clean, and tidy, with smart home controls throughout. Excellent value for money, and breakfast was included and quite good! Highly recommended! The front desk service was also great. Even though we're locals from Xinjiang, they gave us a small gift when we checked out, which was a really warm gesture! Truly great value for money! And there's a huge parking lot right in front."
