"I always wanted to stay at Holiday Park, and I finally stayed there on the way from Brisbane to Cairns. This BIG4 is right by the beach, close to the city, and convenient for shopping nearby. When I checked in, I didn't know the rules of the stay, but it was actually very convenient. I just needed to get the key from the designated box, find my cabin and open the door. The room facilities were very complete, the bed was very clean, and when I left, I just had to return the key to the designated box and I could leave. It was also a very interesting way to check in."

"Bed was amazing very comfortable walking distance to Flinders street and Strand. Restaurants on your door step  😊 would definitely recommend for weekend or short stay. Room was rear facing no view but the bed made up for lack of view."

"Would not recommend this hotel at all. Photos made it seem like it would be very nice, however this was not the case. Room was okay ish, but had no light coming in whatsoever, shower pressure was awful, and the room was quite small and dark - but was quite clean. The pool looked more brown, than any other colour, it was filthy. There were bugs absolutely everywhere outside your room, ants nest everywhere! Luckily most ants were above on patio celling and not on the floor as there is a gap between the door and floor allowing insects and anything small to come into your room from under your door. Breakfast was extremely limited, with cereal, bread and gone off fruit, I can definitely understand why this is free as would have been very unhappy if had to pay extra for this. I tried it once and never went back. Locations is not the best, about 15 minutes walk ish to the esplanade, there’s not a lot down there a few cafe and the rock pool but other than that nothing else around at all. The one staff member there was nice when we arrived, however this was the first and last time we saw anyone from the hotel. Reception always closed earlier by several hours, and when we went there twice to get pool towels for the beach couldn’t find anyone around at all! Would not choose this hotel or location again."
