Parador de La Gomera
8.9 (64 reviews)

Parador de La Gomera ★★★★

📍 Lomo de la Horca, s/n, San Sebastian de la Gomera

"Hotel meeting all expectations in this category. Staff with perfect professionalism and interpersonal skills. Quiet place allowing you to fully enjoy your vacation. The restaurant is also excellent"

Pensión Amparo Las Hayas
7.5 (27 reviews)

Pensión Amparo Las Hayas ★★★

📍 Ctra Arure Las Hayas, 13, Las Hayas, Valle Gran Rey

"I stayed there this weekend. First, they charged me 70 euros a night when on their website it is 40, saying that they have a pool and there was no pool. Second, the house was dirty, the sheets were not changed, mold on the shower curtain, the sofa cover in the living room was so dirty that we couldn't sit down, the floor was full of dirt. And third, when I called or wrote to the owner to ask for an explanation, she didn't answer me but left me on read. It is very regrettable, I do not recommend it to anyone because of the way the owner treated me. Not even an apology and much less a refund. I just want to thank the bar worker because she sorted out the mess for me."

Bancal Hotel and Spa

Bancal Hotel and Spa ★★★★

📍 188 Calle Lomo del Clavo, San Sebastian de la Gomera

"Spectacular and relaxing"

Hotel Torre Del Conde

Hotel Torre Del Conde ★★★

📍 C. de Ruiz de Padrón, 19, San Sebastian de la Gomera

"After reading some reviews here we went for a 3 night stay in a superior room. Large room and bathroom view of the park. Comfortable what was a little strange that the bath had a shower facility and next to the bath another shower unit but with a curtain. Not for me as can't stand a wet shower curtain flapping around your legs. Well worth paying extra with a good breakfast and pleasant staff. Great for short stays if your on a Gomera discovery trip you are best off taking hotels in the places you're visiting as driving in Gomera is a nightmare due to so many hairpin bends."

Hotel Rural Triana
8.8 (24 reviews)

Hotel Rural Triana ★★★

📍 C. Triana, 30, Vallehermosa

"A great base for a walking holiday. The staff running the hotel are very friendly. Rooms are adequate with comfortable beds. Our room facing the inner courtyard was rather dark with a downstairs sitting area and bathroom. Bedroom was accessed by climbing a spiral staircase. If anyone has mobility issues I would request not to be allocated one of these rooms. There are other courtyard facing rooms with the bed downstairs. Rooms facing the front do have some traffic noise so worth bearing in mind if you are sensitive to this. The hotel only provides breakfast but there are at least 2 good restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Valhermosso is a superb base for a walking holiday if you don’t have a car. There are buses and taxis in the village. To summarise I would say this hotel is fine for short stays when on a walking holiday."

Pensión la Gaviota

Pensión la Gaviota ★★★

📍 Av. Marítima, 35, Alajero

CT Las Tres Palmeras - Valle Gran Rey ★★★

📍 Camino Playa del Inglés S/N, Valle Gran Rey

"I went to these apartments with my family when I was small and made me a lot of illusion to return, but now with my children and couple. They are very well careful. The apartment is great, it has everything necessary for a holiday. Of course, it is not like the house of one, but being on holiday we will not spend 2 hours cooking a super dish. The sunset is spectacular. Great attention. Very good location, close to both beaches. There are good places around the area to eat or drink something, and a Spa supermarket. It didn't cost us to find parking. My children are looking to come back."

Suites & Villas Los Telares
8.7 (35 reviews)

Suites & Villas Los Telares ★★★

📍 Ctra. General, 10, Hermigua

"Beautiful rooms overlooking the mountains and banana plantations. Hiking possible directly from the doorstep. Friendly staff who even brought my forgotten favourite shirt 20 km to San Sebastián. Definitely a come back spot in a near future"

Hotel Jardín Tecina
8.7 (75 reviews)

Hotel Jardín Tecina ★★★★

📍 Lomada de Tecina, s/n, Playa de Santiago, Gomera

"This is definitely place for couples. Lots of activities in house and outdoors. Including golf course. Breakfast and dinner buffet are good quality and great variety, even vegans are served. Friendly and helpful staff compete the vacations positive way. I would definitely choose room with sea views…"

Parador de La Gomera ★★★★
"Stunning hotel overlooking the coast and San Sebastian. Traditional decor throughout. Very nice pool area with plenty of sunbeds available (unsure if this would be the case in peak season, if there is one on La Gomera). No pool bar however. We did have an issue of building work next to our room during our stay but it didn't really affect us. Not an issue for us but the hotel is about 65m above sea level meaning that there is an 10-15 min uphill walk back to the hotel from the town."

"God place! Clean and convenient, nothing extraordinary. The beds are a bit old and soft but other than that it gets the job done!"

Bancal Hotel and Spa ★★★★
"Beautiful hotel, very clean and well-equipped. Friendly staff. The food was buffet-style, with something for everyone. Spacious bedrooms. We didn't use any of the other facilities; for us, it was more of a walking holiday. Highly recommended!"

Hotel Torre Del Conde ★★★
"We had a quiet, spacious room on 3rd floor with views over San Sebastian park. The bathroom was very modern. This hotel is in a central area, with the beach, port and restaurants a short walk away. Breakfast with hot and cold options, was adequate and included during our 4 night stay. Unfortunately there was renovation work being carried out on the ground floor, which meant there was a temporary reception, no bar or cafe available, and the dining room was not its normal size. There was no noise from the renovation work."

Hotel Rural Triana ★★★
"I've never stayed in such a peculiar room - like a giant bunk. The very gloomy ground floor of the room consists of a sort of small lounge with settee, desk with chair and fridge plus a shower room. You need to climb a 19-step spiral staircase to the mezzanine way up above. Only take up your bedtime essentials! You can't open the shutters which reduces the light considerably although you can open the windows for fresh air. I wonder what the other rooms are like. There's an enclosed shared courtyard but it feels very enclosed and doesn't get much sun. The location is fine - just a few minutes walk into the village square. Everywhere is very peaceful. You will sleep well."

Suites & Villas Los Telares ★★★
"The hotel was founded in 1982 and it seems that they have been using the same mattresses ever since. It is impossible to rest in this hotel, it does not meet the basic requirements of the guests. It is a shame because its location and the views are very good."

Hotel Jardín Tecina ★★★★
"We arrived late in the evening and whilst our lugage was transported to our rooms it was left to ourselves to find our way to our cabin. The hotel is situated on a step hill with many rough stone stairways and slopes. So pick your room carefully if you have mobility issues. Our room was at the very bottom of the hill at the cliff edge. Magnificent views out to sea and the village below. The hotel is well maintained and looks to have had a recent renovation. The recepetion area is spacious with multilayer seating and bar area. There are many activity rooms and a theatre which featured nightly entertainment mostly from the in-house team which to be honest was rather amateurish. The rooms are more akin to a little apartment with its own outside seating area and very attractive. The cleanliness and staff were excellent. The brochure over plays the dining facilities with the amount of resturants which were few, small and therefore difficult to reserve. There were, however 2 huge buffet cafeteria areas which were usually very crowded and understaffed. There is very little to do on the Island unless you are a walker/hiker but the hotel has many amenities and activities. Tennis, Padel, gym, fitness classes, lectures and talks etc. The hotel's 18 hole golf course is first class. You play down the hillside after a 10 minute buggy ride to the top. EXCELLENT. The pools and sunbathing areas were very clean with lifegaurads and a safe pool for children."
