"A very nice arrival experience on our first day. Obviously a beautiful building in a nice setting. Also the terrace and food of the restaurant is very nice. Unfortunately a couple experiences did not meet what you would expect of a five star hotel. Very difficult to have something to drink at the pool. No pro-active service. When I asked reception they told me to go and find a waiter in the restaurant. Since there was a reception going on in the garden I had to go through this crowd in my bathing suit to find someone. Asking reception if this was the process thay said yes. On our last night of our three night stay all guests had to sit at one side of the restaurant, even on the second row and behind the corner with no view, leaving the nicest tables unavailable. Because it was easier for the staff? And they were the whole evening empty. Totally unacceptable if you charge these prices. Also the table linnen (worn out) and staff uniforms (no uniformity) are in desperate need of investment. On departure our suitcases were pushed to us on the parking lot from two meters distance by the bell boy. Not a word or assistance putting them in the car. Total opposite of our arrival experience. So all in all a very nice place but with some very strange and unpleasant experiences. If you charge top prices guests expect top service. Therefore the conclusion; a restaurant with rooms, don't expect the services you would from a five star hotel."

"The hotel is extremely dated. We have been placed at 2nd floor , at the rooftop. Room extremely small and partially not accessible due to the inclination of the roof, no elevator, no air conditioning, bathroom drainage not working. When we asked for an alternative room , we have been told they were fully booked. Please avoid"

"Horrible hotel! Reception that looks like a cemetery with plastic flowers... dust etc. Breakfast room closed at 8:30 am when it was supposed to open at 7 am. Elevator in my opinion not standard, bed linen dirty and out of date. Bathroom door that does not close or is blocked! We gave up breakfast so disgusted by the overall state of the hotel and all that for more than €80 per night! Run away!"

"This place is simply a MUST !!! Paul and Valerie are perfect hosts and have created an absolute heaven deep in the Provence countryside. Their painstaking renovation of a significant property provides an extremely comfortable, relaxed ambience in which to rest up and unwind. Rooms are spacious, airy and very well equipped. The views from the terrace, upon which to enjoy breakfast Al fresco, are simply stunning ! And the extensive gardens provide a rich bounty of fresh vegetables, fruit and herbs, always cooked to perfection. There are numerous local hikes, biking trails and a dedicated outdoor fitness area to help keep healthy. The open air Infinity pool and jacuzzi provide a grand way to “ float away” at the end of the day. Ample car parking makes life easy indeed. This place is simply a MUST !!!"

"It's a beautiful accommodation where everything is just right. A pool, a lovely twin-bedded room with a shower and window, a fantastic breakfast, and Francois, a super-charming and gracious host who also cooks excellent meals in the evenings upon request. What more could a guest want? We can wholeheartedly and warmly recommend Francois and his chambre d'hote. Grasse is also relatively untouristy and well-located for attractive mountain villages or Cannes. Francois is happy to provide tips for excursions and parking options."
