The Kimpton Shimao Clearwater Bay is a six-star hotel that truly excels in every aspect, from its hardware and services to its intricate details and overall experience. This is not an advertisement, I genuinely mean it! 1. **Exquisite Design:** The public areas are stunning, with picturesque views at every turn – a paradise for detail-oriented guests. Every corner is Instagram-worthy, feeling more like an art museum than a hotel. The rooms are top-notch, with excellent amenities. The most delightful surprise was the hand-painted glass art created especially for our anniversary, a truly thoughtful touch. 2. **Exceptional Service:** * We used a secret phrase at the front desk and received a cute blind box and a commemorative pendant. * The in-room ”treasure chest” was incredibly practical: it included a full sun protection set (sunglasses, sunscreen, aloe vera gel), nail clippers, eye masks, and more, anticipating all sorts of forgotten essentials. * The Guest Relations Specialist, Vicky, deserves special praise! She contacted us by phone in advance and managed to upgrade us to a sea-view room despite the high occupancy during the summer. She also proactively arranged for the anniversary hand-painting and even sent us a Westie doll that we'd requested. Her warm and responsive service was truly touching. * Sales Manager KK was efficient in recording our needs and coordinating arrangements, proving both professional and reliable. 3. **Fantastic Public Areas:** The hotel's public areas are a veritable ”resort playground,” guaranteeing no boredom: in addition to various swimming pools, there's a lazy river, waterfall curtain, non-motorized water sports facilities, and more, complemented by numerous relaxation zones. Towels, mineral water, kickboards, and swimming rings are all readily available. There's even an e-sports area, which was astonishing. The overall greenery design is also aesthetically pleasing, and the outdoor public areas offer endless photo opportunities. My only regret is not booking an extra day. 4. **Abundant Dining Options:** There are many restaurants, and we didn't have a chance to try them all. Our room included social hour, drink vouchers, and the in-room mini-bar, providing more than enough to eat and drink. To be honest, the breakfast was visually more appealing than it was flavorful, but overall, it was definitely above average.

The dining areas and pools were also not busy. The kids' club is suitable for children under 8. The pool provides swim rings and anti-slip shoes for children, and the staff are polite. **Cons:** 1. The pool room had a strong, unpleasant fishy odor. The hotel actively tried to move us to another room, but the issue persisted. The compensation offered was only a dining credit, which wasn't even enough for three people. We were dissatisfied with this solution; for a three-night stay costing over 3,000, this resolution felt very reluctant and inadequate. 2. Hotel staff lacked proper training. When cleaning the pool, they used a large net that brushed against the wet bed. The smart toilet in the room was not smart at all; its buttons would light up automatically multiple times at night. The room clock was not set correctly and displayed the wrong time. Housekeeping did not clean up dessert containers or leftover coconuts. These are definitely not characteristics of a star-rated hotel. The pool's circulation system ran continuously at night, causing noise. I suggest they turn it off at night to save electricity. 3. Indigo and Kimpton are right next to each other. However, while Kimpton guests can use all of Indigo's recreational facilities, Indigo guests are not allowed to use Kimpton's golf simulator, cinema, or billiards room, even when these facilities are empty. This is an unfair rule, and it makes me question the communication between the two hotels. 4. We dined twice at Kimpton's restaurant for their buffet and at Hai Yu restaurant, and the food was delicious. Indigo's breakfast was also very good, but the restaurant staff did not remember guests' names or preferences. Every day felt like we were unrecognized, which is not up to the standard of a high-end hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at Raffles Clearwater Bay this time. Manager Darryl contacted us in advance to confirm our arrival time and room preferences, so we could check in directly upon arrival, saving us the hassle of waiting. Although some areas of the hotel were under renovation, arrangements were well-made. There were occasional noises during the day, but closing the windows and doors largely mitigated any disturbance to our rest. Travel routes were also planned ahead, so we didn't experience any inconvenience. The hotel's greenery is truly outstanding, with a rich variety of tropical plants, creating a lush, verdant environment. Strolling through the gardens was incredibly relaxing. Darryl was attentive throughout our stay, helping coordinate meals and book activities, always responsive to our needs. Overall, our stay was comfortable and worry-free. We'll definitely choose to stay here again next time we visit Sanya.

They were incredibly proactive and helpful, assisting with luggage, recommending tour routes, and patiently answering all our transportation-related questions. They were always quick to help coordinate any requests we had, making it perfect for family vacations. We were extremely satisfied with this stay and will definitely prioritize Sanyue Hotel again when we return to Lingshui. Highly recommended!

Walking downstairs, through the pool and lawn, you reach the beach. The beach is very uncrowded. In the evening, you can catch some sunset views. The rooms are spacious, all facing the sea, with balconies and drying racks provided. The outdoor pool is shaded by the adjacent buildings in the mornings and afternoons, so it's not sunny (only for a short while at noon), which is fantastic; the water is warm and you don't get sunburnt. The kids' pool has bubble activities. The staff, including the cleaning ladies, are all very friendly. The chef at the restaurant is excellent; even simple stir-fried greens taste delicious. The breakfast is a bit simple, but sufficient. There are few restaurants and delivery options nearby. The hotel restaurant menu only offers a limited selection of dishes. Overall, it offers great value for money and is perfect for those who enjoy peace and quiet by the sea.

Our recent two-night stay in the Water Residence Suite at Capella Tufu Bay, Hainan far exceeded our expectations! I must specifically commend the butler (Culture & Travel Officer) service. Our officer, Linda, proactively contacted us before check-in, providing information on hotel activities, restaurant reservations, and travel tips. Her WeChat responses were incredibly prompt, and she quickly coordinated and handled all our requests, whether it was booking restaurants, arranging transportation, sending daily activity reminders, or fulfilling small in-room needs – everything was perfectly arranged, attentive yet unobtrusive. We had noted in advance that it was an anniversary trip. On the night of our check-in, not only did we receive the promised anniversary cake, but also complimentary fresh flowers, herbal coconut water, and more (the fruit tart was truly delicious, we enjoyed it both nights and didn't get tired of it!). Upon departure, they also prepared a gift for us; the little monkey was absolutely adorable. Before arriving, I had seen many online recommendations for the hotel's Sabai Sabai Thai restaurant. After trying it, I found it lived up to its reputation; the dishes were authentic and delicious. The Tom Yum Goong soup was sour, spicy, fresh, and fragrant, with a harmonious lemongrass flavor. The Siri Pomelo Salad and curries are also a must-try. The food quality was consistently excellent, and the service was impeccable. It's fantastic to enjoy such authentic Thai cuisine right at the hotel. The Water Residence Suite was spacious, and the bedding was comfortable. The hotel's morning ritual, afternoon tea, and evening ritual offered a rich experiential stay. The breakfast experience was also excellent. This time, we also participated in the hotel's beachcombing activity. At sunset on the beach, staff members patiently taught us how to catch small crabs. The driver for our airport transfer was also a superb driver! Finally, I want to extend my thanks again to Linda for her warm service, which made this trip even more perfect! We look forward to seeing Capella Tufu Bay, Hainan again next time!

The resort grounds are full of coconut trees, the pool is clean, and the greenery looks incredibly pleasant. The room was clean and spacious, and the bed was super soft – I had a great night's sleep. The breakfast spread was substantial, and the egg tarts were delicious. They also had sweet potato and corn balls, and the buffet was fully stocked. Both the lobby and outdoor areas were spotless, giving off a strong island holiday vibe. It's been raining in Lingshui these past few days, so the weather has been cool and refreshing, and the air quality is genuinely good.

Traveling during the off-season was amazing! They upgraded us for free to a sea-view room, where we could even watch the sunrise. Too bad I didn't catch it once during my three-day stay, as it kept raining on and off... The front desk lady was beautiful and kind, very thoughtful and enthusiastic, and recommended great local food and attractions. The only thing to note is that this hotel is actually located in Fuli Bay. It's separated from Xiangshui Bay by a narrow river – or rather, a sea channel. It looks like it's only a few hundred meters away, but you can't cross it directly; you have to take a detour of nearly a kilometer. The sand at Xiangshui Bay is finer, while the sand right outside the hotel is a bit coarser.

This is a very nice hotel. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the bedding and pillows just right. There was also a great balcony., I would have liked a relaxing chair on there, but the furniture was okay. The service is excellent, the people are very friendly and extremely helpful. The pool is nice and clean, the yard is very pretty. The gym is a bit outdated and could do with a makeover and a location other than the dark cellar. Nearby is a pretty beach, a lovely park and an entertaining mall. If you take one of the siden street, you’ll find local shops. There is a bit of noise coming from the streets at night, but if you close the doors, it’s not too much of a bother and stops around 12:00 PM. Airconditioning is working really well. Had a great time, will visit again!

The room is big, very clean and tidy, the boss is very enthusiastic, the environment is very good, there is a commercial street nearby, it is very convenient to eat and drink, it takes less than ten minutes to walk to the beach, and there is a swimming pool downstairs. This weather is very suitable for playing in the water. If I didn't have to go back to work, I would be reluctant to leave. Hahahaha. Not bad. Recommended
