"This is a non-traditional hotel operation with the rooms being operated by the bar below; Poppy Red. But there's no breakfast offer and it's key code entry. That being said, whilst my room was small (it was a double being used by just me) it was comfortable, well decorated and I had a good night sleep. Bathroom was tiny!"

"We called into this lovely pub for a cold drink and food, This is a quaint old pub full of character and charm, they had a lunchtime special on of a sandwich and soup for £10 the food and soup were very tasty. Hawkshead town is very small but full of character and charm which i recommend."
