"An extremely disappointing experience and a complete lack of professionalism. The spa treatment was an extra charge of CHF 55 per person, even for hotel guests, and brunch was an additional CHF 50 per person! Before booking, I took the trouble to call the hotel to verify the included services. I was clearly and politely informed that access to the spa could be included in my stay. Based on this information, I made my reservation. Once the reservation was made on Agoda, the story changed completely: I was told that these conditions didn't apply because I hadn't booked "in the right place," and that I had to pay significant additional charges. This had never been mentioned to me on the phone. The result: a very unpleasant feeling of having been misled, despite all the precautions taken beforehand. The most shocking aspect remains the lack of consistency and transparency, completely at odds with the standard this establishment claims to uphold. Charging extra for spa access for hotel guests is surprising enough, but in this context and at this price, it becomes barely acceptable. I find this practice particularly regrettable and far below the standards expected in a hotel of this caliber. My reservation has been cancelled, and I absolutely do not recommend this experience."

"This new development has been opened unfinished and it shows. They charge £15 a day for parking but they don't have enough of it so if you don't pay this crazy price you are told to 'not park on the road' and threatened with towing even in the drop down area, not very welcoming and where do they expect people with loads of ski gear to exactly park when staying here? The rooms are packed with new equipment but the showers flood and the windows drip, the pillows are like square bricks and the rooms so hot without any idea of how to reduce the heat. You are abandoned to watch an information video which provides zero information. The managers are untrained as are the senior staff, (which we emailed to advise of all issues and had a very uninterested response). The reception runs limited hours which mean there is no assistance and even if they were there, they can't help - we were wished 'good luck' by the manager only after being asked to move our car where we were simply unloading. The two internal lifts that service ski in and ski out are too busy and when calling them you are unable to get in for way too long - one of the days we had to walk down the snow with skis to get to the boot room, two levels. The doors around the hotel apartments are not yet signed properly and for a whole week a bucket with tools sat in the middle of an exit area. The stairs outside are wobbly scaffolding and I wasn't quite sure where I was going and how the safety had been considered, (we didn't observe one smoke alarm, maybe they were hidden?). The vibe on the slopes is they are having 'teething problems' I would say go enjoy the peaks but not with this many accommodation design leaks! I hope they listen to this review more than they did my complaint."

"Booked here because all the hotels in Zermatt was fully booked. This hotel is very near the train station, & located in the small township of St Niklaus, about 40 minutes away to Zermatt by train. Self check in hotel where the room is clean but not many amenities are provided. Need to bring your own. Price is very affordable."

"We booked at Matterhorn Inn but was told to go to their sister hotel down the road, Porta Cervino. It’s termed as an upgrade since Porta is a 4 star hotel but would appreciate being informed earlier and not on the spot. Matterhorn Inn is right opposite the station but Porta is a 5-10 min walk away"

Did not have the chance to try the spa, however went to visit it. Just beautiful and looked so relaxing. Hope to come back and see you."
