"The room was quite large, with a living area with a sofa, a separate bedroom, and a fairly spacious bathroom. Holbox isn't a very big town, so you're close to everything from this hotel, but it's not in the main bar and restaurant area, and it's about a 5-minute walk to the beach. It was a bit dark walking back to the hotel at night. So, if you're looking for peace and quiet at a good price, it's quite good."

"Breakfast was incredible - absolute highlight of the trip! Sat on the beach with the best view for brekkie! A fair way out from town but a beautiful stretch of beach! One of the nicest beach areas we saw and we walked along this section of the island a few times in our holiday there - excellent relaxing music & a good atmosphere with no children. Good & friendly service, nice and clean room, only negative was we struggled to find the entrance and had to wait for staff to check in. If you get rain be aware the roads get fairly waterlogged but you can just about navigate this."

"Despairable experience at HM Villas Palapa del Mar. Despite a confirmed 5 months in advance for two beds, the hotel has tried to impose a single bed at arrival. The logistic nightmare continued the following day : Obliged to pack up our goods and store them at reception. The room was not ready for the trip at 13:00. After we were asked to return 1 h later, we were still required 40 minutes of waiting.
