This hotel is my go-to for business trips, but this stay was really disappointing. The check-in staff seemed unfamiliar with the hotel's amenities; I asked for a razor since I didn't bring one, and the front desk repeatedly said they didn't have any. It was only after I mentioned having received one on previous stays that the receptionist checked their inventory and confirmed they did. The next day, there was a wedding reception on the same floor, and it got quite noisy early on. I asked the front desk if I could have a late check-out until 1 PM, but they said the rooms were fully booked and could only extend it to 12:30 PM. However, when I checked online, there were even rooms of the same type still available for booking. All this together just shows how dismissive they are of their guests and how much their service quality has declined.
Overall, a great stay, except for the small room (albeit well-designed and compensated!). The reception staff were hospitable and the common area was always filled up and a great place to chill, with happy hours from in the evening (I guess 5-6 pm). The balcony was also very nice, and the gym was quite neat with a few basic equipment.
The room+bed was small, but a luggage rack under the bed, good-sized table, an open cupboard, and an air purifier which was a logical addition to compensate the un-openable windows. Plus, there's the bus stop right outside and one around the corner too. The #26 bus connects the hotel to the main areas quite nicely, so it felt fine to be put on this end of the island (although we loved our stay at North Point better!).
