"The room didn't have an internal landline phone. The bedding was poor quality; the bed and mattress moved with the slightest touch, and the areas where it had been moved were visibly dirty and not very clean. Most importantly, the door couldn't be locked from the inside; it could only be closed by a chain, which made me feel insecure. I don't know how the positive reviews came about."

"I fell in love with Yining because of a guesthouse I visited. I originally planned to stay for two days, but ended up staying for many more. Every day I would stroll around the old town, then come back to the courtyard to chat and drink tea – it was so relaxing! The owner even personally grilled meat for us. This leisurely lifestyle was so pleasant; I didn't want to leave! Haha, I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Yining. I wish the owner booming business and lots of money!"

"Welcoming, fun and central place to stay near Liuxing Street! The owner speaks English well and is super friendly and interesting. His love for travel and his culture is displayed around the hostel with the beautiful and quirky decor, and it is easy to see that lots of love and thought went into this place. His family were around and they are lovely too. They gave me a free coconut coffee which was delicious! The female shared room was clean and modern, with a comfortable bed with a curtain. There was a  cupboard for each bed. There is a little shared kitchen which had a fridge/freezer, a hot water dispenser and things for cooking and eating (although I didn’t cook there). The shared female toilets had a few toilets and a few shower stalls - a down side for me was the toilets are all squat toilets and there was no toilet paper when I was there so I had to bring my own (maybe I did not see it, I did not ask). There were shared living spaces where you could sit at the tables and chairs, an outdoor courtyard area with a nice little garden, a lovely quiet reading room area with the owner’s books, and a rooftop area with tents. It’s a really cool, international place. I would love to come back again."

"The hotel is newly opened. There is no taste of new decoration. This is very good. The room is clean and tidy. The bedding is comfortable. There is a latex pillow. The parking space is sufficient. The distance to eat around is not convenient to drive. It is nearly 1 km. If you are tired from shopping, you are too lazy to take a taxi or book a taxi. Takeaway hotel decoration road construction is too noisy early rise is more suitable for sleeping late don't think about the coaxing floor shaking the corridor always remembers the sound of the alarm in the room emergency lights will be on shaking my eyes scared me awake thinking it is on fire"

"Had a fantastic stay in Yining! The front desk staff were incredibly warm and attentive. Our room was spotless and odor-free, with comfortable bedding and a full set of amenities. Room service was prompt, the TV had a clear picture, and the facilities were well-maintained. The air conditioning worked great, and the shower had plenty of hot water. Plus, the soundproofing was excellent. We also appreciated the thoughtful complimentary water and the late-night service. Laundry facilities were convenient too. Highly recommend! It's perfectly located for a stopover when visiting Kuerdening and Sayram Lake, and Six Star Street is very close by and lively at night."

"We stayed two nights at the Yilan • Central Asia-Europe-Africa Ring Youth Hostel in Yining and were happy with our stay. The hostel is well located, near the Blue Houses district, in an area slightly removed from the center but still convenient. We had a private room with a bathroom and toilet, bright and with nice windows, and we were pleased with it. The hostel has the feel of a typical youth hostel, with a simple and friendly atmosphere, and a fair amount of foot traffic. There aren't many services, but our contact person was always available when we had simple questions. A good place to stay for a few nights in Yining."
