The hotel is nice. It reminds me of the hotels my parents would take us kids when young : big, spacious lobby, the smell of a pool, indoor balconies where you can look out on the interior. All was nice and luxurious, though maybe a bit older. We were going to the airport early so really there wasn't much time to hangout. My partner found it a bit cold as our ac unit didn't produce heat reliably.

Room temperature to me is 72, it was 68 in my room, far too cold for this Floridian’s liking. I wanted ice. No ice on the main floor, the attendant said there is ice on every floor. Fine, I went to my floor, no ice. I went down one floor, no ice, down another floor, no ice, finally on the 4th try, I got ice. $40 for parking is steep but in downtown Indy with a car full of stuff, I had no choice. It worked out well, no issues. God is good. Breakfast is good, hot and fast. Could have used a better muffin selection, bran was the only choice. The valet parking was great. Evan Coffman was nice. The “green” whatever it was provided in the shower for shampoo burned my scalp. I had to get out and rewash with the stuff on the bath counter. Horrible.

We stayed at the SpringHill Suites for GenCon. The room was modern with some nice touches like a sliding translucent room divider to given someone sleeping on the couch some privacy from the main bed. A separate shower and toilet room so more then one person could get ready in the morning. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and filling. Sadly like many stops on this trip, no black tea at breakfast, just a selection of herbal teas and coffee. Location is close to the downtown core and you can get to the Convention center though the JW without going outside.

Room 2618 was a beautiful room. A few comments: 1) The room door was slightly misaligned and did not shut. They did fix it very quickly. 2) The internet went out on Thursday for 6+ hours Overall, the experience was great. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. The room was cleaned daily, which is different from many hotels currently.

I just stayed in a train car room - it was dirty & in serious need of updating. The furniture is threadbare & chipped. There is dust in the vents & walls by the vents. Dirty handprints on the walls, carpet felt old, sink got easily clogged and backed up with water. The adjoining door was warped so we couldn’t open it to visit our family in the next room. The AC made a ringing noise every time it ran. The windows look out to interior hallways with very bright interior lights, and the shades didn’t block the light at night. Overall, the room felt like a bad motel. Beware!

XxutaoyiMy husband and I checked in a the last minute after we lost power due to severe storms. It was predicted that the power outage would be a multi-day event. It was so busy with people checking in and out. CHAD did an exceptional job getting us a suite. He was courteous and professional. He made difficult circumstances easier for us. Great experience!

GGuest UserGreat experience I'm always surprised when a visit at any hotel goes as well as this one. The lady who took care of us (Debbie) was wonderful to work with: attentive and helpful, very pleasant. The facility was clean and well-appointed. Breakfast was the right temperature and worth taking advantage of. Check-in and checkout were effortless. The ice machine worked and was in an area that did not disturb other guests. I have only good things to say about this location.

GGuest UserWe had a great wekend stay at the Residence Inn. We had a 2 bedroom suite right by the breakfast room and it was amazingly quiet. We are light sleepers and did not hear noise at night or early a.m. The parking is $30 for each night, but that seemed to be standard for downtown.. You are able to keep your car there the day you checkout. The breakfast could have had more choices but there were cereals,oatmeal, fruit and yogurt if you didn't like the hot items. The staff were so friendly especially the evening employees. sometimes they could have used 2 people at the desk but the women there Friday & Saturday were efficient. Our room and kitchen were all very ckean. We didn't have them clean after the 1st night since we had plenty if towels. Lack of recycling bins was the only negative.. The canal view was pretty, too bad it was a cold March weekend.

KKristy MI have never stayed at a Courtyard Marriott that was so filthy in my entire life. We are Marriott rewards members, but since we booked through a third party, I think we got the shaft (hotels don't like that). We were visiting for a family reunion, and upon check-in found out the Starbucks coffee was unavailable because the breakfast area was closed down for COVID. Now, I understand Corona problems, but nowhere on their website did they mention this, however there was a Starbucks 1 mile up the street open??? After visiting with family, we came back to the hotel about 10:30pm. Exhausted I pulled back the sheets to find a stain that looked like blood or jelly. Either way, I did not want to sleep there. (see pics). Therefore, in my nightgown and leggings, I shlepped down to the front desk and asked for another room. We were given a room on the first floor (note: there is smoking in this hotel, so it travels up). After moving all of our belongings, about 11:15 pm, we checked the beds. A ok. However, the bathtub was filthy (see pics). Also, do not plan on house-service...again, was not mentioned on the website. Never, ever, ever, ever, ever again. Keep driving up the highway about a mile for a nicer Marriott.

GGuest UserI have stayed here many times in the past. I used to live in northern IN & went to the Indy area frequently for various conferences. Now I live out of state but had occasion to be back in the Indy area. Thought --- hey, I'll go back to my ”old standby”. WHAT A MISTAKE! This place has gone from four to zero! Carpets look like they haven't been cleaned in years! Needs painting in key areas -- breakfast area, elevator, halls, room. Tacky signs hanging at front desk, on pool area door, at at elevator. But... the WORST....There is a sign on a door in the breakfast area ”staff only”. Well... I guess they ”hire young” because a lady walked in to that area with two kids (approx 4 & 6 yrs old). She then came out & helped with breakfast items leaving the kids in the kitchen!! So much for cleanliness in the kitchen area. THEN.... I was told check-out time was 12 noon. At 11 am, there was a loud pounding on my room door. I had the ”do not disturb sign” hanging outside and was just getting in to the shower so I ignored the pounding. That was a mistake --- the lady and her two kids tried to come in to my room!!! The younger girl just looked at me and said, ”Hey lady -- you leaving?” WHAT????? I told the lady I'll be out by noon! and slammed the door! Approximately 11:55 as I was leaving, I noticed the door to the room across the hall was open. Sitting on the bed were those same two girls.... watching TV. Again... so much for cleanliness!!!! Comments re signs... How should I get from the pool to my room without entering the elevator? IF you had staff at the front desk, maybe folks wouldn't walk behind the counter. ＜＜ There was no one there when I arrived or when I went down for breakfast. Had to ”yell” for someone both times.＞＞ Your sign says you won't enter our rooms... but, you tried to enter mine before I even checked out! I WILL NOT BE BACK.... They can say all they want about ”cleanliness” and ”keeping guests safe” but...... YOUR ACTIONS SPEAK SO LOUDLY I CAN'T BELIEVE ANYTHING OTHER THAN YOU REALLY DON'T CARE!

The staff was polite - although, not chatty! - and did their jobs. Location was convenient to the highway, making it good for our stay. Best of all, though, BISCUITS AND GRAVY on the breakfat menu!

GGuest UserThis hotel honestly has the best staff. I stay at quite a few hotels during my work travels and when my mother and I stayed here I felt like I was cared about as the guest. Although it was a little bumpy at check-in, the guy manager helped the gal check me in (she may have been new) and fixed the credit card issue. Because of our delayed check-in, he offered us a drink and he paid for it. I will always return to this hotel when I travel to Indianapolis even though it's out of our way. I recommend this location because of the access to 465 and that area.

5597brandygI made a reservation for my son's soccer tournament, to stay one night. A few days before our stay, my son got injured and required surgery. I called the hotel to see about a refund since I am and have been an IHG member for years and frequently stay at these hotels. The hotel didn't even bat an eyelash before they told me that they could cancel my reservation but I would still be charged $160. I called corporate after this, it's not like I was just trying to get out of staying, legitimate health reason with documentation, not to mention being a loyal member. I was told by the rep she couldn't refund but would send it along to management because she didn't see a reason why they couldn't refund under these circumstances and was told I would hear no more than 48 hrs later. After waiting 5 days, I call corporate back and was told that the GM of this location had already declined my refund and that was that. I sincerely hope that the GM never runs into health issues with their family and has the hope that other real life people would be understanding in that situation. Showing compassion in business goes a long way.
