"My wife and I traveled to Banff National Park and chose ”Rundle Chalets” in Canmore for our stay. We had a very pleasant experience staying there. Convenient location, friendly and helpful staff, small but comfortable cabin with everything you need for a traveler, and all this in the midst of incredibly beautiful mountain scenery."

"I recently stayed at the Canmore Inn & Suites on Bow Valley Trail. While the property itself has potential and offers a convenient base for exploring the Rockies, my experience was significantly dampened by a factor I wasn't prepared for: a major local hockey tournament. The ”Tournament” Factor I was unaware upon booking that my stay coincided with a Canmore hockey tournament for U11 and U13 divisions. To say these teams ”took over the hotel” would be an understatement. The volume of children was overwhelming. This translated to: The Pool Area: Practically unusable for other guests; it was packed to capacity with kids from morning until night. Common Areas: Hallways and the lobby were very loud and, at times, felt uncontrollable. Lack of Supervision: There was a noticeable lack of adult/parental supervision in the public spaces, leading to a chaotic atmosphere that isn't ideal if you're looking for a relaxing mountain getaway. Staff and Noise Management To the hotel’s credit, the noise did mostly settle down by 10:30 PM. I spoke with the front desk, and they mentioned we could issue formal noise complaints if needed. However, it felt like a losing battle given the sheer volume of groups. The staff are clearly used to this, as these local tournaments bring in consistent bookings for the hotel. While the team was polite, they seemed stretched thin by the high occupancy and the energy of the young athletes. The Room and Amenities Pros: The location is excellent—close to downtown and Highway 1. The rooms are generally spacious, and the mountain views from the upper floors are a highlight. Cons: The property is showing its age. Some fixtures felt dated, and the cleanliness in the high-traffic common areas suffered due to the heavy foot traffic during the tournament. Final Verdict The simpler solution here is a matter of timing. If you aren't in town to participate in or spectate a tournament, check the local sports calendar before booking. If a U11/U13 tournament is on, I would recommend staying elsewhere. If you are here for the hockey, this is clearly the ”hub,” but for the average traveler, the lack of peace and quiet makes it hard to justify the price point during these peak weekends."

"The room is small but very comfortable. Although it is a public toilet, shower, kitchen, everyone is very clean and tidy. The guests staying in the store are also very quiet. The Hostel is halfway up the mountain and the scenery is particularly beautiful, which is very suitable for self-driving tours. It is a 5-minute drive from Canmore Town. It is20-30 minutes from Banff."

"Location was great - 5mins walk to supermarket; 10-15mins walk to town centre of Canmore. We did check in and out via the link they sent us so we didn't meet any staffs - feels more like airbnb👍🏽 Room was clean and has everything it stated on trip.com. We can hear sounds from upper level when they walk/anyone stairs up - it didn't bother us as it usually happened during daytime when staffs were doing housekeeping. We will definitely be back to stay again💯"

"Banff is just too expensive. The town of Canmore, right outside the park gates, is a great alternative. It's only a 30-minute drive to Banff townsite, and it also boasts snowy mountains and some good restaurants. This motel-style hotel, though a bit dated, is still a solid choice. Its excellent value for money is the main selling point."

"I had a great stay in Canmore. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and surrounded by beautiful mountain views. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to the Rockies."

"The outside of building is quite run down. Parking is not always granted to guests as it fills up quickly. I kept smelling food coming through the vents. The rooms are old with 70s flooring and old plumbing. It shouldn't be costing $95 for here for a 2 queen room. What what it is, I wouldn't felt okay paying $50 to stay."

"The appearance of the apartment is not new, but the interior decoration is very good and the facilities are complete. Electric fireplace adjustable. The waiter was also nice and cleaned up every day. Before leaving, I forgot to leave a tip, a little embarrassed. In short, I live very well. I feel that developed countries are just a penny and a lot of money. The children are very happy."

"First time in Canada and we chose to visit the Banff / Jasper area. Canmore is more reasonably priced and still pretty convenient ! The room was very clean , and the sound from the trains passing by was quite bearable , if you value ABSOLUTE quietness then I would suggest the hotel provide EARPLUGS for those who are extra sensitive Besides that, great rooms, location, and breakfast was pretty decent as well !"

"Very clean hotel. Nice and large TV.  Passcode enterance is very convenient. Location is nice, parking is great. A bit too noisy by the train close by. They should have install double or triple layer of glass to reduce the noise. Also, if there is electrical water boiling pot would be great."
