"The front desk staff were very friendly, and the hotel's cleanliness was basic but acceptable for the price – no major issues that would prevent a five-star rating. However, there are a few things I need to mention.
On the first day of my stay, I requested two disposable razors. One of them was already opened, had no shaving cream inside, and the blade was even assembled. I'm not sure if it had been used before.
Also, the tissues by the bed in the room – I counted them, and only nine had been used before they ran out. The toilet paper in the bathroom was also a small roll when I checked in, and after just four uses, it was gone. It seems these consumables weren't replaced with every new guest. I also want to complain about how thin the bedside tissues are; they're about one-third the thickness of normal tissues and really poor quality – thin and easily fall apart.
Then, when checking in, I specifically said I didn't need housekeeping. Yet, at 10 AM the next morning, I was woken up by loud knocking. The cleaning lady said she was there to clean, which ruined any chance of sleeping in afterward.
Furthermore, the TV in the room was hit or miss. The first few times I tried to turn it on, the remote control didn't respond, and the set-top box flashed red, indicating a fault. Later, it suddenly started working, but only if you were very close to the TV; otherwise, the remote wouldn't respond.
Finally, there's the issue of sound insulation between rooms and the ceiling. The soundproofing isn't great; I could clearly hear conversations from the adjacent room and the upstairs guests. However, the window insulation is good – being double-paned, it blocked out most of the outside noise."
