I can honestly say that Fenglin Diaojiaolou is the best hotel I've ever stayed in, both in terms of cleanliness and overall environment. I'm a bit of a germaphobe, and my standards for hotels are extremely high whenever I travel. Finding a suitable hotel is always the biggest headache, as I spend ages comparing options in my chosen area. Anyone with similar cleanliness standards will understand my struggle! From the initial inquiry to check-in, the Diaojiaolou staff were incredibly thorough and patient, helping me choose the perfect room. They genuinely went above and beyond to accommodate us. We booked three hotels for this trip, and honestly, the 3000+ yuan we spent here felt completely worth it. Since it's located within the scenic area, admission tickets are free. After booking, the butler immediately contacted us, arranged pick-up from the visitor center, and handled our luggage. The service was exceptional. We go through a lot of toilet paper because I don't use hotel towels, and whenever we made a request, they'd be there within 5 minutes, always incredibly polite. The hotel breakfast was also delicious. Being in the scenic area, you have the option to choose from three different dining places, which was absolutely fantastic. "Upon arriving at the guesthouse, we discovered the pipes were undergoing maintenance, and we hadn't been informed in advance. There were an excessive number of mosquitoes, something everyone should really watch out for. It felt like the room hadn't hosted guests in a while, as there was some dust. What was quite frustrating was the extremely weak water pressure; showering was practically impossible, so we just made do. The facilities seriously need an upgrade. The location is excellent, right within the scenic area, and you can take the Wanfenglin sightseeing bus to various viewpoints. The hostess was very kind, and the breakfast was delicious, but the guesthouse's facilities really don't live up to the excellent service provided by the hostess."

It's close to a side gate of Wanfenglin, and there's a greenway and a snack street to stroll around in just a few steps. Overall, it's not bad."

"This is an aparthotel located in an apartment building within a large shopping mall. We booked a room with one large bed and one single bed. The front desk was in a separate building, but it was conveniently close. The room was spacious and bright, and we were finally able to wash our dirty clothes from a few days of travel; they dried quickly. While the single bed's mattress was quite comfortable, the large bed's mattress wasn't, which was tough on my back. Breakfast wasn't particularly good; only the noodles and vermicelli were palatable. We had a great time overall and really enjoyed Xinyi as a city. We'd definitely come back!"

I was really disappointed with the hotel breakfast; the dining area is too narrow and cramped. With so many people eating, I kept bumping into chairs and worried about hitting others. Wontons were already gone just past 8 AM, and the food supply was insufficient. There aren't many parking spots above ground, but the underground parking is quite plentiful, and it's free if you provide your room number when leaving."

If we had more time, we would have liked to stay for two more days."

This was my second trip to Xingyi, and I convinced my international friends to choose Wanfenglin over Yangshuo. This hotel made our trip perfect from start to finish.
The staff were all efficient, warm, and friendly, always ready to help with anything we needed, whether it was arranging a car rental, sending a package, or doing laundry. The breakfast was varied and plentiful, and on warm evenings, they even offered iced mung bean porridge. When we left, they gave us a gift of colorful rice, which was such a touching gesture!
The room was clean and tidy, with a convenient wet/dry separation in the bathroom. Before bed, I even did some stretches following along on the large TV. And the stunning view from the window? That goes without saying! Don't forget to wear something nice and head up to the rooftop for some beautiful photos. The village is very quiet at night, so you don't need to worry about noise. Rent a bicycle and you can get to the Lower Nahui market in just 10 minutes. In the early morning or evening, take a stroll down to the boardwalk to see the dam and the large waterwheel, then wander through the fields – it's incredibly pleasant!

The surrounding environment of the guesthouse is lovely, quiet, and very convenient for getting around. Although my room was on the first floor, it was fully equipped, clean, and tidy, with a simple yet stylish decor. Large windows let in plenty of sunlight, making the room feel incredibly warm. The bedding was very comfortable, and I slept soundly that night. The bathroom was also very clean, with a separate shower and toilet, and all the toiletries were provided. The room even had a mini-fridge with complimentary drinks. There was also a small balcony where you could sit with friends, enjoy tea, and admire the view – it was simply wonderful! I would definitely choose this place again next time I travel.

GGuest UserCame to Wanfenglin with my family and chose this incredibly beautiful guesthouse. We picked a second-floor room with a balcony, and the views from the bed were stunning. The bedding was excellent, ensuring a very restful sleep. The warm lighting in the room was a thoughtful touch, not harsh on the eyes. The room was clean and odor-free, and outside the window, there were endless green mountains. Opening the window, I felt like I could breathe so much easier. In the afternoon, we went to their backyard area to enjoy the scenery and swim – every photo turned out amazing. During the day, we chatted in the room and admired the mountain views, and in the evening, we enjoyed the breeze on the balcony while talking with family. The front desk staff were also very friendly and helped us plan our travel routes perfectly. This will definitely be our first choice when we visit Wanfenglin again!

There is also a playground for children in the park, which is a good place for parents and children. The set meal in the restaurant is large, delicious and cheap. Every service staff is very friendly and enthusiastic. Then let's talk about the disadvantages. Although the service staff is very friendly, the service ability really needs to be improved. The luggage cart in the morning cannot be called, the restaurant does not have drinks (only the lobby bar has), the supplies are insufficient (the room has a brand new coffee machine without capsules), and the bar does not have a ready-made wine list (it's very interesting here. It is said that the hotel has hundreds of thousands of Cuban cigars and whiskeys, but there is no menu. The waiter called on the spot to get a wine list that is not like a four-in-one. It is recommended that the owner check the inventory. It is estimated that it is all loss). At the same time, there is no charging pile in the parking lot of this level of hotel, and you have to go to the town to charge... This service quality is in stark contrast to the facilities. Originally, I just wanted a clean and comfortable place to stay, but I unexpectedly found a whole warm and welcoming experience at Gu Shang Ju. Having stayed in countless hotels and guesthouses, only here did I truly feel what it means to have warmth, kindness, and thoughtfulness. I was reluctant to leave and must give this a positive review—this is my personal experience, and I, Li Hua, am not exaggerating.
Upon arriving in Xingyi, the owner's warmth instantly touched me. Knowing that my in-laws were elderly and had difficulty traveling, she immediately drove to the high-speed rail station to pick them up and drop them off, providing meticulous and thoughtful service throughout. She treated them with the patience and care of her own elders, making the elderly couple feel instantly at ease upon arrival. After checking in, we discovered the kitchen lacked proper utensils, making cooking inconvenient. She repeatedly and warmly invited us to her home for meals, where a table was laden with steaming hot Guizhou-style home-cooked dishes, each bite a taste of home. The owner isn't a relative, but she's more than a family member. This sincerity and kindness were especially precious in an unfamiliar city, and they warmed our hearts.
The owner was incredibly cheerful and generous, always enthusiastically recommending great attractions in Xingyi to help us avoid any pitfalls. She also absolutely adores animals! I brought my pet along without any worries or inconvenience; she was gentle and loving, exceptionally caring and tolerant of the little guy. We were truly lucky to have such a kind and compassionate pet owner. Being guests here was the greatest blessing of our trip.

The entire house is equipped with smart technology. Just a simple call of ”Xiao Ai” (a smart speaker) upon entering allows you to easily manage everything in the house. No lifting a finger, no hassle—lazy people, the elderly, and children can all enjoy a very comfortable stay. The room design is warm and stylish, the decor exquisite and sophisticated, and the bedding is so soft and comfortable that you won't want to get up, sleeping soundly through the night.
The attention to detail is evident throughout: the shower water is softened, with a gentle flow that leaves you feeling relaxed and comfortable after a bath; the in-room drinking fountain is a major highlight, providing sweet, warm drinking water with just the touch of a button—clean, hygienic, convenient, and quick, ensuring safe drinking water for the elderly and children at all times. The room itself is very new, yet completely odorless, clean, tidy, and well-ventilated, demonstrating meticulous daily cleaning and maintenance. Most thoughtfully, it also features an elevator, making it easy for the elderly or those with a lot of luggage to move around—perfect for family trips.
The location is also superb, facilitating both travel and daily life!
It's a ten-minute walk to the Malinghe Scenic Area, a 20-minute drive to the Wanfenglin 5A Scenic Area, and half an hour to the Fenglin Buyi Scenic Area. Whether you're visiting attractions or enjoying the scenery, everything is within easy reach, saving you time and effort. The surrounding amenities are surprisingly comprehensive: downstairs there's a farmers' market, pharmacy, supermarket, and countless restaurants and snack shops offering authentic flavors and a wide variety of choices. There are also two billiard halls, providing everything you need for leisure and entertainment. Staying here eliminates all the inconvenience of getting around or daily life, making for a truly immersive travel experience.
The value for money is so high that I can't help but feel sorry for the owner: the prices are affordable, yet every detail—the decor, service, and everything else—is impeccable. She treats every guest with care, warmth, and sincerity. I often wonder, can such a genuine and dedicated woman really make money?
In 2026, my New Year's journey began at Gu Shang Ju. Here, there was a comfortable living environment, meticulous care, and a rare sense of human warmth. Thank you to the kind and warm-hearted owner for making our time in Xingyi comfortable, safe, and heartwarming.

Came with my parents, aunt, and brothers. The room is large and cozy. There is a mountain view when you open the door. You can rent an electric car within a ten-minute walk. The lady boss took the initiative to tell us a lot of places to play. She even helped call the owner of the electric car store because it was raining and asked them to pick up the car when the rain stopped. The next day, he helped us bring breakfast because he went out early in the morning. Come and stay and watch~

From the moment we arrived, the location completely stole our hearts — nestled perfectly to offer breathtaking views of the mountains right from our room window. Waking up to that stunning scenery every morning was a dream come true.
