"This was a truly satisfying stay. Before checking in, I had visited Shirakawa-go and was a little disappointed not to see any snow. But then, on my first morning at the hotel, I pulled back the curtains to find it snowing heavily! It was absolutely amazing. I decided right then and there not to go anywhere and just enjoy the snow from the hotel. The hotel is a bit older, but the room was clean and tidy. I had upgraded my room, and it wasn't small at all. The area mentioned in the description probably just refers to the room itself, but the entryway was also very spacious, allowing me to easily open my large luggage. The indoor balcony in front was also quite large, perfect for a family to sit and enjoy the snow. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered direct mountain views, with the river flowing right below. The large floor-to-ceiling windows in the restaurant lobby were even more stunning – it was wonderful to enjoy the snow while dining. Even the outdoor onsen provided beautiful views of the snow and river while soaking. The best part was how few people there were; both times, it was just me and my daughter, so there was no need to book a private onsen. Behind the hotel, there's a walking trail. We explored it that day, and while the heavy snow made it a bit challenging to walk, it was incredibly beautiful and completely deserted. Every photo we took was a scenic masterpiece. Our shoes and socks got wet on the way back, but thankfully, we didn't feel cold. There are convenience stores and supermarkets nearby, making it very convenient to buy food and other necessities. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends. The staff were also very friendly. Although most of them didn't speak English, they used translation software, so communication was just a bit slow."

A hot spring ryokan with the atmosphere of the Kaga area, overlooking the Kakusenkei Gorge, the most beautiful valley in the Hokuriku region. Featured in the Michelin Guide, our ryokan offers a taste of the culture and history of Kaga, an old castle town that produced one million koku of rice, with nightly performances of traditional Yamanaka-bushi songs and dances and an interior that incorporates traditional crafts such as Kaga Yuzen dyeing, Yamanaka lacquerware, Kutani pottery, and Kaga mizuhiki decoration. Complimentary services such as homemade pancakes, Kaga pudding, coffee, Kaga stem tea, beer after bathing, carefully selected colorful yukata, and a private bath will add color to your stay. At Kissho Spa, one of the largest spas in the Hokuriku region, you can enjoy an elegant moment with treatments using local ingredients such as gold and silver leaf. For dinner, enjoy a kaiseki cuisine or teppanyaki course with seasonal ingredients served in Kutani ware or Yamanaka lacquerware dishes. You will be satisfied with freshly fried tempura and traditional Kaga cuisine with fresh seafood from the Sea of Japan such as snow crab, sweet shrimp, rosy sea bass, and Kaga vegetables, along with carefully selected local sake. Our shop offers a wide range of popular souvenirs. Kissho Yamanaka also offers special services for guests staying consecutive nights as well as for guests celebrating anniversaries such as birthdays and wedding anniversaries. We promise you a stay immersed in hot spring and Japanese style, with beautiful mountain stream views from the guest rooms, lobby lounge, and outdoor baths, and a rich natural environment that changes with the seasons, such as cherry blossoms, fresh green, moon viewing, autumn leaves, and snow-covered winter scenery. We offer a free shuttle service with 11 daily departures, which takes about 20 minutes from Kaga Onsen Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen Line and 30 minutes from Komatsu Airport. You can also take a local bus from the nearby bus terminal to Eiheiji Temple, the famous main temple of the Zen sect (about 50 minutes).

"The location is a bit off to the side of the mountains, but the hotel has a shuttle bus that connects to Kaga Onsen Station, which is very convenient if you book in advance. The hotel is very close to the Tsurusenkei Trail; walking along the tree-lined path with the sound of flowing water is incredibly relaxing. The hotel exterior isn't particularly modern, but once you enter the lobby, the beautiful decor and antique-style furnishings are a pleasant surprise. The two indoor onsen facilities are well-equipped with comfortable, warm water, and include complimentary massage chairs and popsicles – a thoughtful touch. In the evenings, there's a simplified version of traditional Japanese song and dance performance in the lobby, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, and the bedding is very comfortable. Yukata and pajamas are provided, and there's also a section on the first floor filled with various men's and women's yukatas, obi (belts), and ribbons for guests to mix and match. The ladies were dazzled by the choices; it was so tempting that they couldn't leave for half an hour. Both the Japanese-style dinner and breakfast were very plentiful, and dinner even included a Wagyu beef hot pot. I am very satisfied with this hotel and highly recommend it."

"This is my go-to hotel whenever I visit Kaga Onsen in Komatsu; I've stayed here a total of five times. That's how satisfied I am with their service, the quality of their hot springs, and the variety of food they offer. They even provide unlimited snacks, onsen eggs, drinks, and potatoes throughout the day, which is so good you barely need a full meal. There are three different hot spring baths, and since they operate on a rotating schedule for men and women, you get to experience all the different tubs. The facilities are well-maintained and spotless. I highly recommend it! The staff are all incredibly friendly, giving you a true taste of Japanese hospitality."

Located in Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture, KAI Kaga is approximately a 1-minute walk from Yamashiro Onsen and a 10-minute drive from Yamanaka Onsen. It is ideally situated for sightseeing, with both Natadera Temple and Katayamazu Onsen just a 15-minute drive away. In addition to the hot spring baths, guests can relax with an onsite massage (surcharge). The ryokan also features complimentary Wi-Fi and a reception hall. Room service is available during designated hours. A breakfast featuring local ingredients is served daily. Free onsite parking is also available. Guest rooms are equipped with a refrigerator, flat-screen television, and complimentary Wi-Fi to ensure a comfortable stay. Private bathrooms include complimentary toiletries and bidets, while additional conveniences such as a phone, safe, and desk are also provided.

"KAI Kaga inherited hundreds of years of hot spring inns and used new modern models to attract tourists in the hope of driving crowds to the hot springs in nearby districts. However, it turns out that the surrounding area is very deserted. Except for KAI Kaga, which is fully booked on weekends, there are almost no crowds. The surrounding shops are either closed or on the way to closing, and the nearby shrines specially marked as tourist attractions are also deserted. The hotel itself, the rooms, the hot springs, the facilities and the food are all average, but it is really not worth the price (it may also be that there are more people on weekends and the price is higher). The high unit price will easily make people look at the small details through a magnifying glass, and they will find that many small areas need to be strengthened. Another drawback is that there is no shuttle service from the station to the hotel (other lower-priced hotels nearby offer that). If you don't happen to pass by and want to take a hot spring bath, it is not recommended to come here specifically. In the end, I didn't give a bad review because the service staff were relatively young and had a good attitude. Xingye has its own set of training for its employees."

Kaga Modern Onsen Ryokan, located along the Kakusenkei Gorge which is the most beautiful valley in the Hokuriku region. Scenic mountain streams can be seen from the guest rooms, lobby lounge, restaurants and outdoor hot spring baths. Rich nature of four seasons such as cherry blossoms, fresh green, firefly watching, moon viewing, autumn leaves and snowy landscapes will soothe you. For dinner, enjoy traditional Kaga cuisine using seasonal ingredients such as fresh seafood from the Sea of Japan, including snow crab, sweet shrimp, rosy sea bass, and Kaga vegetables, as well as freshly fried tempura in kaiseki cuisine with a complimentary beverage bar. Kagari Kissho-tei, where you can enjoy food, hot springs, history, and traditional culture, also offers special services for guests staying consecutive nights as well as for guests celebrating anniversaries such as birthdays and wedding anniversaries. The Korogibashi Bridge, a symbol of Yamanaka Onsen, is just to the left of our ryokan, and the building also faces Yuge Kaido, the main street lined with Yamanaka lacquerware and Kutani pottery galleries, where you can stroll while wearing a yukata.

"Kishotei Inn is located in the Yamanaka Onsen Street. There is a hotel shuttle bus from the south exit parking lot of Kaga Onsen JR Station that can pick you up at scheduled times. You need to reserve a time in advance. Just use your email address. The pick-up and drop-off staff are very friendly and the hotel service is better. It is in place, and the period architecture adds to the Japanese style of the hot spring hotel. It has a clean and hygienic environment, rich breakfast and dinner, considerate hot tea and snacks in the lobby, and a beautiful open-air hot spring and scenery near the stream on the first floor. There is also a hotel next to the hotel. There are Hexianxi Trail and Hot Spring Street Town, both of which are refreshing and relaxing hot spring tours. It is highly recommended and I will definitely go there again if I have the opportunity."

"The hotel has a nice view, you can call the hotel again when you arrive at the station and ask them to pick you up. This is an old-fashioned hotel with almost no foreigners. The waiters are old aunts and uncles, and they are very enthusiastic. But the last shuttle bus that will take you to the station is 10:10 in the morning. After that, you may need to take a bus trip by yourself. There is platform 26a nearby. We haven't taken a seat. It is estimated that we will have to wait a long time. We went for a walk. I have never seen a bus coming over."

"Traveling solo, I splurged on a Japanese-style room that could probably fit four people. It's an older ryokan, but that didn't really detract from the experience. The only thing was that during the off-season, the in-house restaurant for dinner was closed, so I had to buy food from a convenience store and bring it back. Regarding the service, the shuttle driver was incredibly diligent and responsible, even waiting for me at the station for 2-3 minutes – I'm very grateful for that 🙏. In contrast, the two front desk staff (they were clearly not Japanese, probably Indian or Southeast Asian) were the most unprofessional hotel employees I've ever encountered: in the morning, when I greeted them, there was no reply; later, when I walked in from outside the hotel, they were loudly chatting and laughing. I've been to Japan so many times and stayed at so many hotels, but I've never experienced anything like this before."

Our quiet inn is hidden, secluded away in the woods. Begin your journey with us.

"It is a 10-minute drive from JR Kaga Onsen Station. The hotel can arrange a shuttle bus. The hotel environment is touching, and it is a pleasure to walk around the hotel. Breakfast and dinner are quite rich. The only drawback is that the hot spring is relatively small, with only two indoor and outdoor pools. It is slightly inferior to professional hot spring hotels."

"This hotel is absolutely fantastic! It's new, modern, and pays attention to every little detail. The room was wonderful, with incredibly comfortable futons and duvets. The onsen is marvelous, featuring an outdoor area, stones, wood, a sauna, a cold plunge bath, and all sorts of thoughtful touches – truly an unbeatable experience. Dinner and breakfast are served buffet-style with a wide variety of Japanese and Western food. There's also a game room, perfect for having some fun and laughs. It's a very peaceful and welcoming place. The only minor drawback was the bathroom in the room, which was quite dated and didn't match the rest of the hotel's modern feel. But honestly, that was a very small detail. I highly recommend it for a rejuvenating stay."

AAngelKwanI am a self-driving tour (Jinyu Dongxunfang - London He Midway Hotel chooses parking) without thinking about transportation (the hotel has a special car to pick up and drop off from Kaga), the Wendian is very well maintained, it is a designated sightseeing hot spring franchise hotel in Japan, hot spring water is good, there is a public bath (is hot spring water), There are three private soups, which need to be paid at night (the appointment is free in the morning), I am very satisfied with the morning and evening, I have the largest room (there is a large hall), there is a reception welcome drink, there is any tea, there is a snow strip after bathing, there is a morning coffee, the focus is not expensive. When leaving, the reception staff will bow and wave goodbye. It is a traditional Japanese hotel and is the choice of Japanese tourist resort hotels.

GGuest UserThis Japanese-style hot spring hotel is fully equipped and the lobby is quite luxuriously decorated. We arrived early and enjoyed free afternoon tea and foot soup first. At three o'clock, a waiter in a kimono guided us to the door of the room, which was very intimate. After the bath, we had dinner on the 2nd floor of the hotel at the time we had booked in advance. The dinner was a standard kaiseki dish and was very hearty. Each family had their own private dining space and was equipped with a dedicated full service. At 9 pm, the hotel arranged a local Taigu performance in Kaga for the guests, which was very special. The whole experience was very satisfying.

GGuest UserBeautiful hotel on a beautiful river. Large georgeous room. For Japanese standards the service was just ok. Much nicer greeting upon arrival. Was left to drag my suitcases out the door with a wonderful old lady trying to help me. Of course I could not allow her to lift the heavy bags. All the other people were not available to help or see me out. Extremely rude by Japanese standards. Coffee at breakfast I was told to get at the coffee machine. Substandard for the class of hotel.

The newly opened hotel after refurbishment, so it looks very new, the hot springs are very interesting, the outdoor hot springs are for mixed men and women, and there are many small pools. Dinner was very good, breakfast was too Japanese and I was a bit unaccustomed to Japanese pickles. We also ran into a female manager this time, who was a Chinese. She enthusiastically escorted us to the station and explained to the bus driver our need to go to Yongping Temple temporarily. The hotel is very close to Hexian River.
