Garden Court or Tambo International Airport ★★★
"Convenient for overnight stays. I wouldn’t book for long stays. The carpet stinks. When I took a shower, it flooded all over the place, the AC is mad loud etc. They have great breakfast, though."
Airport Inn and Suites ★★★
"Nice hotel near airport. Good restaurant and bar inside. Recommend big room with kitchen"

City Lodge Hotel at or Tambo International Airport ★★★
"The location was absolutely perfect for transit traveller like me.. had simple breakfast near the pool area.."
Holiday Inn JOHANNESBURG AIRPORT by IHG ★★★★
"This hotel is near airport and good for overnight stay to catch flights. You could get the shuttle at the bus station near the airport. The frequency is hourly. This hotel is near East Rand Mall. The counter staff told us that it is unsafe to walk across the street and advised us to take either Uber or hotel's van. If you are traveling in a group of 4 or more people, it is cheaper to get the hotel's van (80 rand one way) instead of Uber"
Road Lodge Isando ★
"❌run away ❌ 👍🏽10 minute drive from OR Tambo Airport. Reception and check in was smooth 🙄 No elevator in hotel. I had to carry my 2 x23kg suitcases up a flight of stairs. No porter service or any staff offered to assist me 🙄 Room is small but ok for staying over night for catching an early morning flight. 🙄 Air-conditioning is very noisy I couldn't sleep 🙄Walls are not sound proof.... 🙄Plugs are all situated across on the small table 🙄 When using the kettle the phone could not charge 🙄 No bottled water - at more than RMB400 per night I expected to at least have that 🙄 Hotel operates on an online ordering system, I tried to order room service but when I couldn't ,I sent the contact person a msg via the system - 24hrs later - no response."
Peermont Metcourt at Emperors Palace ★★★
"It was clean and had excellent service. Perfect for a layover. There are plenty of places for entertainment around which makes it prime location for solo travels."
City Lodge Hotel Johannesburg Airport, Barbara Road ★★★
"Closely situated to the airport. The service was excellent. Reception was always ready to assist with a friendly smile. The room was very clean and neat. There was no toothpaste, bedroom slippers or complimentary water in the room. You’ve got to call reception and water is purchased at R10 a bottle."
Emerald Guesthouse ★★★
"The reception service was very good . however, the staff at the restaurant were unfriendly, almost like a canteen. The room i stayed in did not have a door for the bathroom. Also one of the cups already had a crack and it leaked. The water in the kettle was full when i arrived. The toilet was reasonably clean. The pick up and drop off service to airport was good. I must commend the drivers to be friendly , helpful and on time. The gardens were very pretty."
Southern Sun or Tambo International Airport ★★★★
"They have a dedicated shuttle bus to and from the airport, running 24/7 every 15 minutes, which is quite convenient. However, the breakfast is relatively poor, with not much to choose from."
