"Checked in on July 5th and checked out on July 6th. Enter the hotel in Kasane, Botswana from Zimbabwe on the platform. The male staff at the front desk was kind and answered all our questions. He told us how to visit Chobe National Park, helped us contact the cruise ship that afternoon, and told us the shuttle bus time from Kasane to Maun, although we later chose to fly. Went to Maun and personally drove us to the airport the next day. Here, I would like to thank the black front desk staff. The hotel does not occupy a very large area, but it has parking spaces and a restaurant. We had dinner at the hotel. I chose pork rice. There were four taels of roasted pork. It was fragrant and very delicious. The room is large, the bed is big enough to sleep four people at the same time, but the furniture is simple and the shower and toilet are separated; there is wireless Internet, but the speed is slow. The breakfast on the 6th was very unpleasant. I paid for the room rate including breakfast on the platform, but I was told that I had to pay for breakfast. I immediately contacted xc. After negotiating with the hotel, the platform persuaded me to pay for breakfast and then reimburse it with the invoice at xc. Although the platform finally solved our breakfast problem and reimbursed our breakfast fee, I still felt that there was no link. There was a problem because when we checked in, the front desk said we didn't pay, so we had to contact xc to solve the problem. The breakfast charge is clearly marked, I remember it was 80 pula per person, but the hotel accountant quoted xc 120 pula per person, which is a bit unreasonable."

"We booked a Deluxe room but were put in a very ordinary standard room. Then told Deluxe rooms don't have a river view, whereas the website says they all have a beautiful river view. They moved us to an Executive room, which was quite nice and had a distant river view."

"The staff is not cooperative, especially Diana. We stayed in the campsite for one night and asked for an additional blanket due to the cold weather ( we were on overland tour and had sleeping bags but the weather was not expectedly cold). Our request was refused and at the same time an additional blanket for the same reason was given to a guest of the lodge. When we asked what is the reason for declining our request we were told that for the lodge guests it is acceptable but for the campsite guests not. It does not make any sense. We consider the staff as not supportive and kind."

"A wonderful experience. I went to Ichingo to primarily fish for Tiger Fish. Robert my guide worked tirelessly to ensure that I came away with an amazing fishing experience. Robert is so knowledgeable but not only on fishing, but on wildlife and bird life. I learnt about different bird species as we were fishing. The fishing was hard, but rewarding and I cam away with a few good sized Tigers. Robert is a thorough gentleman. At the lodge Rector and Cassius run a first class experience. The food was lovely - for example kingklip cooked to perfection, with starters and dessert. They were so generous that I had to ask them to prepare less for me at lunch time because I could not manage 3 big delicious meals each day.. All the staff are welcoming, friendly and kind. I travelled by myself but at no time did i feel lonely - I was made to feel at home. The bungalow was a luxury tent right on the rapids so I went to sleep each night with the sound of the rapids. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with all the amenities you would expect. All in all it was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys a unique game viewing experience from a boat, or excellent fishing to go to this lovely lodge."

"We lived the Chobe River Lodge! We had riverfront rooms that were large and nicely furnished! We enjoyed the chairs outside our room overlooking the river. The food was wonderful and the service was great! We enjoyed the river cruise our first night but loved our drives into the Chobe National Park! Our guide, BK was excellent, and helped us check off our bucket list of animal sightings!"
