Best Hotels near Petaling Street Market, Kuala Lumpur

Staying with my husband for business purposed. Booking through Floresta Hotel websites & got discount too. The room worth the price. It was budget hotel but still nice in terms of room cleanliness, amenities & facilities. The staff are very helpful & kind. The one who served us is Ms Sofea. She's so nice, we came here for a business but decided to extend since it was a nice hotel. And Ms Sofea help to arrange room with good view. And lurveee the lobby, feels like you're in jungle. It was nice if you put fake river too haha.

This is a very practical budget Malaysian Chinese hotel with no frills (only the essentials) located on the main nerve in Chinatown... Jalan Sultan. But don't let the online price fool you. The hotel management has standards. There is a friendly guy from Burma making sugar cane juice (air tebu) right in front of the hotel. Up/down the street and in the alleys there are local style kopi shops, char siew + siew yoke, wan tan mee, Ray's Power Corner, plenty of vendors selling almost everything imaginable and places to eat. One place you must try EVERYDAY!! is Coco's Mee Tarik Jalan Sultan at the end of the road (Chinese Halal). One grand amenity that I get at Hotel Nan Yeang that I do not get at other hotels for the same price: a spacious balcony with a spectacular view of Warison Merdeka 118. I walk out onto the balcony and see the newly built skyscraper upfront, close and personal. I don't know if this is a building or a rocket or a spaceship with lasers. That is how many features this structure has!! The two managers on staff are too lovely women, Ms. Chong❤️ and Ms. Eng❤️ who oversee the operations of the hotel. They make sure that the air conditioning units in the rooms are cleaned regularly. ”Abang”, from Indonesia, takes care of maintenance and installed a new flatscreen SmartTV in my room.  He has 2 guys under him from Myanmar. The quiet guy keeps up with painting the rooms and halls. The other guy doubles as housekeeping. Speaking of housekeeping... it is good enough... nice women from Indonesia... but they could do a more thorough job. A deeper clean. And the front desk staff is very warm and friendly (and they put up with me... which is a bonus). What more could you ask for?? I recommend this wonderful Malaysian-style hotel.❤️

Convenient Location, but Room Size and Amenities Could Be Better. I recently stayed at the Travelodge Chinatown in Kuala Lumpur. The hotel’s location is excellent~ just a short walk to the Pasar Seni station and close to the well-known tourist spot, Petaling Street. This made it convenient for us to explore nearby eateries and attractions. However, there were a few downsides. The rooms are quite small, and we noticed some ant activity. If you’re not bothered by these issues, it’s worth considering. Keep in mind that the hotel is basic, suitable mainly for budget travelers looking for a short stay. The breakfast buffet provided by the hotel was simple and not very tasty; I recommend exploring nearby food options instead. I hope this review helps! 😊

Not a good experience this time checking in to this hotel.. I booked last minute and remarked for late check in..so i arrived at 1.30am at this hotel..imagine coming to the front office with the receptionist wearing a mask??literally that white face mask for her beauty i guess…with no greetings from her..with that proudly face she showed to me..i didn’t have cash for deposit coz i’ve used it to pump gas to my car..cannot use card cause it passes 12am..she said..u should have known to bring deposit since this is not ur first time checking in here..i was like..i am alone and it’s passed midnight..i won’t risk my life going to the a** at midnight alone..why would she say that to her guest??? I am working in tourism industry and if this is what a receptionist way treating her guests, no wonder our industry is sinking..but no worries i’ll come back here to see if the management do something about this matter..thank u for this experience..

I was not able to take a picture of the room we stayed in. The location was city centre and accessible to taxi and bus. The room and bath were clean. Liquid soap was provided but no shampoo and the wifi in our room on the 8th floor was weak. There was no cafe and restaurant in the hotel the staff said that due to the pandemic they closed it. There was a 24/7 convenience store near and walking distance restaurants. The staff were accommodating. Overall 8/10 rating.

LOCATION   About 2 min walk from the busy pubstreet in Bukit Bintang, the building itself is unique, whitewashed with an attractive façade of verandahs and wall-sized glass amidst the neighboring towers.   LOBBY   The style is simple, minimalistic, modern and functional.   SERVICE   We stayed about 3 days after the hotel commenced operations, so it was stunning and sublime to use the new rooms. The room we had was a virgin room, as everything was unopened, unused. Security good and parking available. Restaurant not yet in use during stay. The chinese desk clerk was very helpful, professional and kind. He even helped us carry luggage to our uber on check-out.   ROOMS   We were upgraded to family room as the standard rooms were fully occupied. The open wardrobe plan design with lots of storage space is a plus for travellers. All the sockets were internationally adaptable and fitted with USB ports, meaning no need to bring and borrow. Well Done!   The wallpaper was a large black and white photograph of the community life from the past, splashed with bright yellow paint at certain spots. The grey+white+yellow carpet matched the painting adding warmth and comfort to our toes. The bed was X-Large, super comfy and a torment to leave. The night lamp was beautifully designed.   Bathroom clean complete with Borneo products and amenities (eco-friendly using recycled paper) while laundry bag and slippers provided. There is a tea and coffee with 8 sugars but only 2 creamers, would need to add more.      As it was the last day of the year 2019, we raced to the roof to see the midnight fireworks from the KL tower. We were amongst a small crowd of couples and friends wishing peace, health and prosperity for the world.    SUMMARY   Would highly recommend! CITY OASIS!  

Location is excellent as it's right opposite Chinatown. Room carpet is not in it's best condition but everything else is OK. Aircon is strong & definitely a good retreat after a hot day in Kuala Lumpur. Short wait for the lifts as there's 3 lifts serving the hotel. This hotel is good for those driving as there's basement parking available at RM10 per day.

- Brand new hotel, everything is clean and new. - We book 3pax (family) room, very spacious and the view is nice. - Comfy bed, quite room, friendly staff. - In Petaling Street area but away from the market, thus is quite. - Very convenient, MRT, LRT, restaurants, cafes... all within walking distance. - Free tea in room by downstairs tea house (same management). - Not included breakfast, but who eat in a hotel if you are staying in Petaling Street. - You can go up to the rooftop to have a nice view of the city and Merdeka 118, just hope there will be some seating area and shades in the future, its such a good place to chill (in the evening).

We enjoyed staying here at hotel very near to tourist attractions great location. The hotel room and staff also nice. My suggestion is just change the menu for the breakfast even every other . My friends and I want to book again next time.

Gave complimentary for your chinese recept guy. Very helpful and ease my way. He asked to take look once i requested to upgrade more large room. Well maintained their facilities. ***sorry picture is irrelevant
